Feng Tianlan anxiously opened the package and found two books by Wang Xiwen inside. After reading those two books, Feng Tianlan fell into deep contemplation. He connected the stories Wang Putao had told him and his mind became increasingly chaotic. So he made a phone call to the chief editor, asking if he knew a writer named Wang Xiwen, but the chief editor hung up on him. Wang Putao was drinking with her aunt and she told her that she knew Feng Tianlan treated her well but couldn't help but test his limits, intentionally tormenting him. However, no matter how much she tormented him, he could withstand it, to the point where she felt that she couldn't be without him. Her aunt was worried that if she continued this way, Feng Tianlan wouldn't be able to accept it. But Wang Putao believed that if he couldn't accept even this test, then what future could they have? She had already given him the topic, and the result depended on Feng Tianlan's answer.

Feng Tianlan arranged to meet the chief editor and informed him about Wang Putao sending him the books. When the chief editor heard Feng Tianlan calling Wang Putao "Putao," his eyes widened in astonishment. Along with the chief editor, Feng Tianlan's two colleagues also came to the meeting. Feng Tianlan asked them to analyze what Wang Putao's intentions might be. The chief editor explained Wang Putao's story with her ex-husband. Wang Putao's name was chosen by her after she broke up with her ex-husband. Through the chief editor's narration, Feng Tianlan learned that Wang Putao's real name was Wang Xiwen.

In addition to sending Feng Tianlan two books, Wang Putao also sent him a map. The chief editor suspected that the map concealed a secret, so he tried using a method seen in movies where invisible words are revealed by applying fire to the map. As a result, the map burned, but no invisible words were discovered. Feng Tianlan used a fire extinguisher to put out the fire, causing the chief editor and his two colleagues to be covered in powder. To give Feng Tianlan an explanation, they told him that Wang Putao had often disappeared before, sometimes for several months, and Luna was the clue to finding her.

Hearing about the clue related to Wang Putao, Feng Tianlan was overjoyed. Following the chief editor's guidance, he found a woman named Luna. The chief editor had already spoken to Luna on the phone before Feng Tianlan arrived. When Feng Tianlan arrived, Luna took out Wang Putao's two books and revealed that Wang Putao had portrayed herself as the protagonist in the books, while in reality, she was just a stay-at-home mom. According to the chief editor's instructions, Luna deliberately asked about Feng Tianlan's relationship with Wang Putao, but Feng Tianlan told her that they only had a normal working relationship. To make Feng Tianlan tell the truth, Luna asked him to take care of her child while she went to a nearby café to relax for five hours because the child was difficult to handle. After enduring five hours of torment with the child, Feng Tianlan realized that compared to this child, Wang Putao was not troublesome at all.
