Feng Tianlan waited anxiously for Luna to return. When Luna came back, she brought a package and asked Feng Tianlan to hold it as they left the house together. Not long after they left Luna's house, Luna signaled to her son, who suddenly claimed he needed to go to the restroom. However, after the two of them left, Feng Tianlan waited and waited but they didn't return. He sent Luna a message on WeChat, and Luna told him she had something unexpected come up. If Feng Tianlan was in a hurry, he didn't need to wait for her anymore. Feng Tianlan felt speechless upon receiving Luna's message because he still had the package with him, so he had no choice but to continue waiting there.

Wang Putao was strolling alone when a small vendor recognized her and asked why her boyfriend wasn't with her. This comment made Wang Putao unable to help but recall the scene when she and Feng Tianlan came here to shop together. While standing there lost in thought, she unexpectedly saw her ex-boyfriend Liang Wenkai. Liang Wenkai begged for her forgiveness, but Wang Putao couldn't help but burst into laughter upon hearing his request. She knew Liang Wenkai never changed his ways, so she told him to stop pretending. After Wang Putao left, Liang Wenkai wiped away the fake tears from his face and sneered contemptuously at her retreating figure.

After Wang Putao returned home, she received a call from Luna. Wang Putao asked how Feng Tianlan was doing, and Luna replied with a smile, saying that Feng Tianlan was still downstairs waiting like a fool. She estimated that he must be going crazy from her tormenting. Wang Putao praised Luna for doing well. Upon learning that Liang Wenkai had found Wang Putao again, Luna reminded her to be careful.

Feng Tianlan grew impatient waiting and opened the package, only to find two bricks inside. Frustrated, he threw the package on the ground, and as the bricks fell, Feng Tianlan unexpectedly discovered a letter that Wang Putao had left for him between the two bricks. After reading the letter, he realized that Wang Putao had been waiting for him all along, so he rushed home anxiously.

Wang Putao told her aunt that if Feng Tianlan didn't open the package, he would never know what was inside. If he didn't even have the courage for that, then they couldn't start anything. However, five or six days had passed, and according to Wang Putao's calculations, Feng Tianlan should have arrived by now. She intentionally asked her aunt to prepare an extra serving of food, but Feng Tianlan still hadn't shown up. Wang Putao couldn't help but complain about how foolish Feng Tianlan was, but her aunt felt like she had played enough.

Six days prior, Feng Tianlan returned home and found the message that Wang Putao had conveyed to him within the books she had given him. He called the chief editor and informed him that he was going to find Wang Putao. Regardless of whether he could finish the book or not, he hoped the chief editor would stop pressuring Wang Putao. After saying these words, Feng Tianlan hung up the phone before the chief editor could ask him what he was planning to do. He drove Wang Putao's car and headed straight for Qionghai.
