On the way to Qionghai, Feng Tianlan couldn't help but marvel at the fact that in less than a month since he had met Wang Putao, he had driven from Beijing to Qionghai, then back to Beijing, and now back to Qionghai again. Before going to Qionghai, Feng Tianlan planned to do something first: he wanted to go to Jinan to meet Zhang Haibei's parents. Meeting Zhang Haibei's parents went well. Feng Tianlan asked Mr. Zhang if he had received the things he had sent before. Mr. Zhang felt somewhat embarrassed and said that they had received everything. Throughout these years, they had been concerned about him and felt guilty about it. However, what puzzled them was why Feng Tianlan suddenly came to find them. Upon hearing Mr. Zhang's words, Feng Tianlan explained the purpose of his visit. Back then, due to his rebellious attitude, he had a strained relationship with his parents who urged him to study and take the college entrance exams. On the day Zhang Haibei went to find him, he was having a quarrel with his parents, so he only exchanged a few words with Zhang Haibei upstairs. Little did he know that it would be the last time he saw Zhang Haibei. If he had come downstairs at that time, perhaps everything would have been different. Maybe they could have gone to college together and fulfilled their final wish by the seaside. Hearing this, Feng Tianlan sincerely apologized to Mr. and Mrs. Zhang. However, Mr. and Mrs. Zhang told him that it was not his fault. Although Zhang Haibei's life was short-lived, they were grateful that Feng Tianlan had been a part of it. It was because of Feng Tianlan that they felt Zhang Haibei had experienced happiness. After Mr. and Mrs. Zhang left, Feng Tianlan watched their receding figures and couldn't help but recall the moments he spent with Zhang Haibei. In his heart, he told Zhang Haibei that he was starting a new life.

Wang Putao noticed that Feng Tianlan hadn't come for so long and was feeling restless. Unexpectedly, she saw a colorful little windmill in front of the door, and there were also many colorful star ornaments on the fence. Just as she felt surprised, Feng Tianlan walked over. Upon seeing Wang Putao, Feng Tianlan sternly scolded her for disappearing during this time. While Wang Putao was still stunned, he pulled her into his arms and, in a gentle tone, told her that he had been extremely worried about her. Upon hearing Feng Tianlan's words, Wang Putao playfully asked him if he was worried as the chief editor or as her boyfriend. To prevent any misunderstandings, Feng Tianlan straightforwardly told her that he wanted to be with her. Upon hearing Feng Tianlan's words, Wang Putao smiled happily. Auntie came out of the house and happened to see the two of them hugging. To ease the awkwardness, Feng Tianlan pretended to go to the car to get something, and Wang Putao took the opportunity to run back to her room. Once she was in her room, Wang Putao saw her disheveled appearance in the mirror and hurriedly washed her face and put on makeup. She carefully selected an outfit, and when she came downstairs again, Feng Tianlan was completely taken aback.
