In Wang Putao's mind, she had rehearsed the scene of meeting her father many times. However, when the day arrived, none of the expected scenarios happened because her father didn't even recognize her. Feng Tianlan asked about the injury on Wang Putao's hand, and she told him the story of her and Liang Wenkai. She had been hiding from him all these years, changing her address and name, but Liang Wenkai still managed to find her. Wang Putao wanted Feng Tianlan to take her father back to the nursing home because she felt that her father's presence might be dangerous for her. Feng Tianlan assured her not to be afraid and promised to protect her. Old Wang wanted to put money under the floor mat but realized that the money in his pocket was gone. He started behaving strangely and questioned Feng Tianlan dissatisfiedly about him being with this woman while his family's little creek was left unattended. Feng Tianlan noticed that he put the keys under the mat and advised him that it wasn't safe there. However, Old Wang told Feng Tianlan that if he changed the location, the little creek wouldn't be able to find him. Feng Tianlan and Wang Putao took Old Wang to the nursing home. When they said goodbye, Old Wang urged Feng Tianlan not to forget to let Wang Putao have the braised pork when she returned because, besides going out to sea, he didn't know how to do anything else. He had done his best and didn't want Wang Putao to hate him. Wang Putao couldn't help but shed tears while listening. After Wang Putao and Feng Tianlan left, Old Wang looked at himself in the mirror and suddenly shouted loudly, suspecting that the doctor had transformed him into his current old appearance. He found his wallet in the nursing home and decided to find a way to escape. When Lao Wu called, Old Wang quietly slipped out. Seeing that Old Wang had run away, Lao Wu called Wang Putao. Feng Tianlan advised Wang Putao not to worry and suggested that she report it to the police. However, when the police asked about Old Wang's details, Wang Putao realized that she didn't even know her father's age. Lao Wu handed her Old Wang's information, and Wang Putao learned that her father was fifty-three this year. After leaving the police station, Feng Tianlan accompanied Wang Putao as they searched everywhere for her father. They walked from the nursing home all the way to the seaside but couldn't find any trace of her father. When Wang Putao returned home, dragging her exhausted body, she unexpectedly found 100 yuan under the floor mat. Immediately, she thought that her father must have come back because he had always done this since she was young. Whenever she saw that 100 yuan, she knew her father had returned from his fishing trip. Thinking of these things, Wang Putao couldn't help but cry. She finally understood why her father had run back home. Old Wang was sitting on the roadside eating ice cream when a black car suddenly stopped in front of him. He recognized the person in front of him as Liang Wenkai. By the time Feng Tianlan arrived, Old Wang had already left in Liang Wenkai's car.
