Jiang Ye believed that Ding Kemang's divorce with her was related to Luo Xia, but Luo Xia denied it repeatedly. When Jiang Ye began to approach her, Ding Kemang quickly found an excuse to avoid her.

After returning home, Jiang Ye received a call from the producer informing her that the press conference was ready. Jiang Ye immediately told Ding Kemang, who was surprised that he had become like this and had to perform on stage.

Ding Momo met Song Yang, who was with Tong Hua. In the face of Song Yang's inquiries, she revealed Ding Kemang's situation. Seeing that Song Yang still looked like he wanted to continue caring, Ding Momo felt that he was hypocritical and pushed back with celebrity language. When she saw that Ding Momo's emotions were off, Tong Hua was speaking up for Song Yang, but they were interrupted by Kong Liang. Ding Momo was puzzled and learned from Song Yang that Kong Liang was pursuing Tong Hua. At this time, Ding Momo received a call from Ding Kemang asking her to buy a wheelchair for him to attend the press conference.

As soon as she arrived home, Ding Momo saw Luo Xia stopping Ding Kemang from attending the press conference, which made Jiang Ye unhappy. Jiang Ye turned her focus on Ding Kemang and sarcastically accused him of intentionally hurting her because he did not want to attend the press conference. Luo Xia advised Ding Kemang not to attend the press conference due to his illness. Jiang Ye's words angered Luo Xia, and the two immediately started to argue. Luo Xia mentioned that Ding Kemang and Jiang Ye were selected to play roles in the same drama but Ding Kemang chose to withdraw from the drama to take care of Jiang Ye's sick father, which allowed Jiang Ye to rise to fame. Ding Kemang regretted it at the time but chose to forget about it. Ding Momo confirmed that Jiang Ye still remembered this matter, but Ding Kemang refused to mention it.

During the press conference, Ding Kemang saw that Jiang Ye had prepared a speech for him, but he did not want to use her words. Jiang Ye spoke about their past glory and experiences, and then brought up the divorce rumors between them. Ding Kemang was pushed onto the stage in a wheelchair and gave a speech that matched Jiang Ye's, portraying a loving couple. Ding Momo, who was in the audience, felt uneasy seeing Ding Kemang cooperate with Jiang Ye's performance.

Due to the undefined role of the father character in "Father and Son," Luo Xia held an emergency meeting and decided to temporarily stop rehearsals. Jiang Ye saw He Shui and Kong Liang confronting Luo Xia and got into an argument with them, even fighting.

Ding Kemang publicly announced that Chen Jiangge would play the father's role, and He Shui apologized to Jiang Ye after learning the news.

When rehearsing for the play, Jiang Ye's emotions became unstable, and she couldn't control herself, mistaking Tong Hua for Su Xiaotang and He Shui and slapping her.
