Upon learning that the inspection team is about to inspect the drama troupe, Luo Xia feels a bit nervous. Song Bang believes that Luo Xia has a good chance of becoming a regular member, and after some words of encouragement, Luo Xia is filled with anticipation.

An Lun is preparing to change jobs and turn "Father and Son" into a series, and Ding Momo happens to be the screenwriter for "Father and Son". He reminds Ding Momo to prepare for leaving her job.

Jiang Ye, who is jogging in the morning, is stopped by He Shui, who intentionally brings up the rumors about Ding Momo being sent home by different men. When Jiang Ye’s explanation falls on deaf ears, she resorts to sarcasm and humiliates He Shui.

Unable to win the argument with Jiang Ye, He Shui complains to Luo Xia, asking him to make Jiang Ye apologize to her. Now facing inspection, Luo Xia is worried that He Shui's loose lips will affect him, so he can only seek help from Ding Kemang. When he learns that Luo Xia has to make Jiang Ye apologize to someone else, Ding Kemang believes that Luo Xia is putting him in a difficult position, but he still decides to try.

To help Luo Xia, Ding Kemang specially prepares a big meal. When he tells Jiang Ye about Luo Xia's situation, she accuses him of disregarding his wife's feelings for the sake of his friend.

After returning home, Ding Momo notices that Ding Kemang is in a bad mood and after questioning him, she learns about his situation with Jiang Ye. She believes that Ding Kemang should apologize to Jiang Ye. Seeing that Ding Kemang is still thinking about how to explain to Luo Xia, Ding Momo learns from him that years ago, when Ding Kemang took Ding Momo to perform in Shanghai, it was actually Luo Xia's wife who took them there. Ding Kemang feels that he owes Luo Xia.

Learning that he and Jiang Ye had a falling out again because of him, Ding Kemang immediately went to find Jiang Ye, but she was nowhere to be found. Ding Momo takes Luo Xia and Ding Kemang to the villa that Jiang Ye bought, and after Luo Xia apologizes to Jiang Ye, he suggests that they all go out to eat, which makes Jiang Ye no longer angry.

During dinner, Ding Momo receives a call from Song Yang and secretly goes out to meet him. When asked by Song Yang, Ding Momo explains the reason for her resignation. Song Yang is a bit suspicious about Ding Momo wanting to jump ship with An Lun after hearing her explanation, but he shows magnanimity. However, when Ding Momo is about to leave, Song Yang expresses his jealousy and Ding Momo comforts him with a kiss.

Ding Kemang meets with the director and learns that the director wants him to be the head of the drama troupe, but he recommends Luo Xia to the director. The director asks him to go back and think about it.
