Ding Kemang, who was troubled by the matter of being a team leader, received a call from Song Yang and met him at a noodle shop, where he became drunk and upset. Song Yang sent the drunken Ding Kemang home, much to the annoyance of Jiang Ye. Jiang Ye did not allow Song Yang to talk to Ding Momo and simply drove him away, claiming that they were too rushed for time. When Ding Momo sent Song Yang away, she learned from him that Ding Kemang had been talked to by the bureau chief and that the bureau was considering him for the position of team leader.

The next day, Ding Momo secretly asked about Ding Kemang's position as team leader and learned from him that he had no intention of taking the job. Jiang Ye learned from Ding Momo about Ding Kemang's candidacy for the position and recalled her previous humiliation when her role was replaced by Ding Kemang. She believed that their lack of influence was to blame and that Ding Kemang becoming team leader would bring about a change. Therefore, she decided to persuade Ding Kemang.

Song Yang arranged for Ding Momo to come to his house, claiming that he needed her help with his new English play. However, Jiang Ye kept a close eye on Ding Momo and urged her to go home early.

Before bedtime, Jiang Ye went to persuade Ding Kemang to become team leader, using various arguments and even offering to become a good wife and mother if he did so. To appease Jiang Ye, Ding Kemang finally agreed.

The next day, Jiang Ye began her life as a good wife and mother, getting up early to prepare breakfast. Ding Kemang did not object, and Ding Momo understood Jiang Ye's intentions.

At night, Jiang Ye suggested that she and Ding Kemang end their separate rooms and move back in together. The next day, Jiang Ye and Ding Kemang showed their affection in front of everyone at the drama troupe, but Luo Xia made fun of them, leaving Ding Kemang feeling uncomfortable.

While waiting for Luo Xia in his office, Ding Kemang met Zhao Xiaopu, who had come to give him a gift. Ding Kemang advised her kindly, but Zhao Xiaopu mocked him for having his role replaced. Ding Kemang didn't care.

In the cafeteria, Jiang Ye overheard Zhao Xiaopu badmouthing Ding Kemang and publicly ridiculed her. Zhao Xiaopu became angry and argued with her, hitting a nerve when he mentioned Ding Kemang's conversation with the bureau. Jiang Ye slapped her. Afterward, she publicly revealed Ding Kemang's conversation with the bureau.

Still troubled by the matter of being a team leader, Ding Kemang agreed with Ding Momo's suggestion to push the issue to the higher-ups.

Upon learning about Ding Kemang's conversation with the bureau, Luo Xia went to find him but found Ding Momo instead. From her, he learned that Ding Kemang had no intention of becoming the team leader.
