Perfect Match Episode 32 Recap
> Perfect Match Recap
The turmoil in the Yang family’s courtyard escalated quickly. Le Shan confronted Yang Dema with a strong, unyielding stance, sharply warning Yang Zhu Niang and Jiang Chaozong that if they continued to stir trouble and cause death, she would not show any mercy. After speaking, Le Shan pretended to faint, cleverly putting an end to the dispute, and everyone believed she had been possessed by evil spirits. However, Yang Xian had already seen through Le Shan’s plan.
He deliberately "exorcised" her by using the excuse of dog blood to drive out the evil spirits, then "woke her up" and reminded her to be cautious of her mother-in-law Luo Shi’s schemes. The next day, as expected, Luo Shi tried to make trouble for Le Shan. Le Shan was well-prepared and personally took Luo Shi to the home of Yin Ping’s parents, where she presented irrefutable evidence to expose the Zhang family’s extortion.
Seeing this, Luo Shi’s attitude toward Le Shan changed drastically, and she became curious as to why Le Shan was so determined to clear Yang Xian’s name. Le Shan explained calmly, stating that she had promised Yang Jieyu that, having married into the Yang family, she would take it upon herself to ensure the family was harmonious and clear of any scandals. Furthermore, she wanted to help Yang Xian reform and become a better person.
Luo Shi, understanding Yang Xian’s character, took the opportunity to pass the family’s golden seal to Le Shan, effectively cutting off Yang Xian’s excessive spending. Outside the manor, Yang Zhu Niang and Yang Wan Niang anxiously waited. They had expected their mother, Luo Shi, to severely punish Le Shan, but were taken aback when Luo Shi suddenly changed her attitude. This left them utterly puzzled.
Meanwhile, when Yang Xian learned that Le Shan was now in charge of the family affairs, he groaned in despair and even resorted to threatening her with poison. Le Shan remained firm, forcing him to drink the medicinal concoction. Qiong Nu came, under Madam Li’s orders, to check on Le Shan and urged her to live peacefully with Yang Xian. Le Shan appeared to agree, but in her heart, she had other plans.
Over time, as they spent more time together, Yang Xian gradually became attracted to Le Shan’s bold and lively character, and his determination to spend his life with her grew stronger. He asked Le Shan how he could make her willingly marry him. Le Shan smiled indifferently and set a condition: if Yang Xian could pass three tests she would set for him, she would agree to marry him.
Yang Xian happily accepted, and Le Shan swore under the moonlight, declaring that if she broke her vow, she would be abandoned by everyone and live a lonely life. Although Yang Xian was still unsure about trusting her, he couldn’t hide his happiness. The two slept separately that night, but Yang Xian’s heart was full of joy. Late at night, Le Shan went out for a walk to clear her mind.
She overheard whispers and found a sweat towel on the ground. Yu Zan speculated that someone was secretly meeting, intending to report it to the mistress, but Le Shan signaled her to be quiet and not disturb the situation.
The next morning, Le Shan took the opportunity to tell Yang Xian about the annual Dragon Boat Festival, which was preceded by the Lion King contest, where participants would climb and pick Qing (a type of herb), with the winner receiving imperial rewards and immense glory. She made this the first of the three tests for Yang Xian—he had to win the lion contest.
Jiang Chaozong learned of this and secretly plotted to eliminate Yang Xian, but Yang Zhu Niang firmly opposed him. Jiang Chaozong feigned calm and said he would only send people to teach Yang Xian a lesson and intimidate Le Shan. To pass the test, Yang Xian practiced day and night, overcoming his fear of heights and diligently training on the plum blossom poles.
His close friend Zhao Liangcheng saw this and became anxious, and when Le Shan found out, she too felt a stir of emotions. On the day of the lion contest, the Emperor and Yang Jieyu came to watch. The drummer suddenly had a stomach ache before the race, and Yang Xian, using provocation, invited Le Shan to compete with him. Madam Li cheered from the sidelines, boosting Yang Xian’s confidence.
However, during the contest, Yang Xian was ambushed and seriously injured. Despite the pain, he gritted his teeth and managed to win through sheer determination. After the contest, everyone wanted to hold Huang Team accountable, but Jiang Chaozong hurriedly intervened. Nevertheless, with Yang Xian’s persistence, the conspiracy of Huang Team, who had hidden sharp knives in their shoes during the lion contest, was exposed. Yang Xian was furious and severely reprimanded Jiang Chaozong. Afterward, he went with Le Shan to see the Emperor. Jiang Chaozong, embarrassed and enraged, became a laughingstock in front of everyone.
