In a couple of days, it will be Grandfather's birthday. Grandfather just asked Qi Sile if she was available and requested Du Shen to buy more food. They would all have a meal together. Qi Sile said she had to work overtime that day, while Song Haoyu mentioned that he had a business trip. Song Xingchen and Qi Zixuan planned to go out with Li Xin to eat something delicious, which made Grandfather feel disappointed. After Grandfather left, Song Haoyu couldn't help but comment that Qi Sile was suggesting things randomly. However, Qi Sile firmly believed that the more disappointed they were now, the more surprised they would be on that day.
On Grandfather's birthday, he saw the whole house in darkness without a single light. He thought that everyone had forgotten his birthday, which made him feel even more upset. But as he walked into the courtyard, he noticed the shining indicator lights guiding him to the garden. They could only pursue conservative treatment. Lawyer Wang called Song Haoyu and asked him to prepare a legal plan for Maolin's situation. Unexpectedly, Qi Sile received a text message from Qin Tian, inviting her to meet on the rooftop to find out the truth about Grandfather's fainting. As soon as Qi Sile reached the rooftop, she slapped Qin Tian hard, hating herself for considering him a friend when he had hurt her family. Thinking back to what Tong Luoqi had said before, about how picky Song Haoyu's grandfather was with his daughter-in-law candidates, Qi Sile couldn't understand how he could have chosen her. Her belief in Qin Tian's words grew, and it was a big blow to her. However, when she thought about Song Haoyu's feelings for her, she still believed that he truly loved her. Qin Tian presented a lawyer's letter to Qi Sile, claiming that Song Haoyu had planned to marry her to compete for the custody of Qi Zixuan. Qi Sile looked at the lawyer's letter and decided to confront Song Haoyu to get a clear answer.
Song Haoyu was discussing with Lawyer Wang what to do next when Qi Sile, in tears, threw the lawyer's letter on the table and asked him if it was true. Lawyer Wang immediately denied sending that letter to Song Haoyu. Just as he was about to explain, Qi Sile stopped him. She didn't want to hear any more explanations and walked away. Song Haoyu hurriedly followed and kept calling Qi Sile, but she didn't answer any of his calls. Eventually, Song Haoyu found Qi Sile by the lakeside. He honestly admitted that he had wanted to talk about this matter before but couldn't bring himself to do it, fearing it would lead to the current situation.
Qi Sile felt that Song Haoyu's marriage to her was an insult. She would rather have faced him in court with dignity than be bound to him through marriage with hidden intentions. Although Song Haoyu unexpectedly fell in love with Qi Sile, she wasn't happy at all. She decided to divorce him.
