Zhang Xiaobei deeply loves Yingying. He doesn't care about her past and only wants them to be together in the future. An Ni received some clues from Chairman Wang, the former president of the Chamber of Commerce. The brothers Guoxun and Guoquan had worked for him at his company and later helped Xinjie set up the network server. When they realized something was wrong, they fled. An Ni speculated that Xinjie had already found Guoxun, but Guoquan was still safe, residing in the slums. An Ni believed that Guoquan might have crucial evidence that could lead to Xinjie's extradition.

He Luyuan saw in the newspaper that Xinjie was organizing a charity banquet hosted by Qian Tianxin. He suggested that An Ni not go to the slums since she was a foreign investigator and Qian Tianxin was their savior.

An Ni wanted to meet this savior and asked He Luyuan to help her get a ticket. He Luyuan thought An Ni was crazy, and obtaining a ticket wasn't that simple. However, he still tried to find a way for An Ni. He found Jose, who was having a meal, and they had a drinking contest. In the end, He Luyuan won, obtaining two tickets. When they returned to the hotel, He Luyuan accidentally fell into the swimming pool. An Ni heard the commotion from the open window and saw a figure that resembled He Luyuan, so she hurriedly ran out. He Luyuan went back to his room to take a shower and then accompanied An Ni to the charity banquet in the slums hosted by Qian Tianxin.

An Ni was reading and researching before departure when a USB drive fell out of the book. After checking its contents, she discovered it contained a recorded message from Chairman Wang to Qian Tianxin. Holding the USB drive, she attended the banquet. When Qian Tianxin requested the playing of a promotional video for her company, An Ni played the recorded message instead. This incident caused a sensation in Sanjiang City and dealt a significant blow to Qian Tianxin. Guo Hongjiang learned about this and reprimanded An Ni because her actions resulted in attacks on the base of the task force. An Ni's intention was to encourage more victims to bravely come forward, but she didn't realize the trouble it would cause the task force.

An Ni learned that Guoquan had contacted Guo Hongjiang and requested to communicate with him. Guoquan had concerns and feared ending up like his brother. He was currently living in extreme poverty and couldn't afford to jeopardize himself for the sake of cooperating with An Ni's investigation. He needed money and wanted An Ni to personally visit his home.

Qian Tianxin found her backer, Inspector Simon, since he had some leverage over him. Simon was obliged to help her. Qian Tianxin was well-informed about Simon's personal life, including his daughter Sandna's academic performance and the two singers he was supporting. Qian Tianxin gave him money and hoped he could eliminate some "pests" within the scope of his duties, leaving other matters aside.

An Ni met with Guoquan and learned about his impoverished and AIDS-stricken life. An Ni shook his hand, hoping he could trust her and that she would do her utmost to bring him back to their home country. Just as they were shaking hands, Simon arrived with his men to arrest Guoquan. An Ni sensed something was wrong and contacted He Luyuan, who then reached out to the local J-force and judicial authorities. He Luyuan and Jose arrived in time and snatched Guoquan away from Simon.

Guoquan confessed Qian Tianxin's actions. He had been hiding in the slums for years, fearing that Qian Tianxin would silence him. Today was his first time leaving the slums. Guoquan was willing to cooperate with An Ni's team. As long as he could gain access to Qian Tianxin's company servers, he could retrieve all the data. Jose suggested to He Luyuan that they immediately request a command adjustment from the domestic judicial authorities so that they could assist. However, they needed to speed up the process as delays could lead to complications. Jose saw a glimmer of hope, but He Luyuan couldn't help but wear a troubled expression, as he believed this was just the beginning.

Zhang Xiaobei bought food for Yingying and returned to find that she had been taken away by Qian Tianxin's subordinate, Awei. With no other options, he went to find An Ni and He Luyuan. He Luyuan scolded him severely, although he was angry, he still promised to rescue Yingying. Xiao Muen and Zhao Jikai both headed to Country F. Zhao Jikai wanted to meet Qian Tianxin, expressing concern for her and hoping she could temporarily hide. Qian Tianxin had been executing Old A's plan all along, believing Old A was right, and she and Zhao Jikai were insignificant without him.
