Snowy Night Timeless Love Episode 22 Recap
> Snowy Night Timeless Love Recap
Huo Zhanbai, seeing Xue Ziye so determined, knew he couldn't persuade her otherwise. In the end, he made up his mind to help her remove Tong's third needle—he trusted Xue Ziye. Huo Zhanbai was doing this for her, but if Tong ever killed again, he would not let him off. Huo Zhanbai used his power to open Tong's meridians, though Tong's reaction was intense. Deciding to act quickly, Huo Zhanbai hastened to expel the silver needle.
Amid the pain, the silver needle was removed, and Tong regained all his memories. The second time Tong killed, it was because he had been harmed by the villagers. The villagers had wanted to gouge out his eyes, and despite the repeated pleas from Xue Ziye and Xue Huai, nothing could be done. Later, Zhang Wujue appeared, taking Tong away and ordering the massacre of Mo Family Village.
After the silver needle was removed, Tong fell into a deep sleep, and Xue Ziye stayed by his side, never leaving him until he woke up. During this time, Huo Zhanbai also stayed close to Xue Ziye, not leaving her side. Tong, having recovered all his memories, remembered his little sister, Ye-jie. All that had happened over the years felt like a dream. Xue Ziye had always wanted to tell him that she was sorry.
That night, she hadn’t been able to return in time to save Tong, which allowed Zhang Wujue to take him away, subjecting him to inhuman torture. From now on, no matter what happened, Xue Ziye promised to face it with him. Tong would remain in the Apothecary Valley, free to do whatever he wished. The wrongs of the past had already happened, and Xue Ziye would stay by Tong's side to atone together.
Tong bore many old injuries, even his eyes suffered from pain. Xue Ziye patiently treated him, while Huo Zhanbai, standing by, felt a pang of jealousy but said nothing. Xue Ziye took Tong to the ancestral graves in the back mountains to pay respects, but she didn’t understand that Tong held no feelings for the villagers of Mo Family Village.
They were the ones who had locked him in the small, dark house, forcing him to live a life without sunlight. Xue Ziye had wanted to move Mingjie’s tombstone, but Tong told her to let it remain, to stay with the villagers since it was because of him that Mo Family Village had met its fate. Xue Ziye didn’t want Tong to be trapped in the past as she once was—she hoped he could move forward.
While Huo Zhanbai was drinking in frustration, Xue Ziye came to join him. Though the golden needle had been removed, the assassin Tong had not necessarily disappeared. Huo Zhanbai was deeply worried about whether Xue Ziye could warm his heart. In a dark corner, Tong clenched his fists. There was no going back for him now. He secretly met with Miao Huo; the Dragon Blood Pearl had yet to be obtained.
Miao Huo informed him that Zhang Wujue’s recent seclusion seemed strange, and internal power struggles within the sect were brewing. They needed to move faster. By chance, Tong saw Xue Huai encased in ice. He begged Xue Ziye to give him the Dragon Blood Pearl; otherwise, Miao Huo’s life would be in danger. Xue Ziye found herself in a difficult position, as the Dragon Blood Pearl had been retrieved by Huo Zhanbai.
However, if Zhang Wujue saw that Tong hadn’t returned soon, he would take action, and Tong didn’t want to implicate Apothecary Valley. Still, Xue Ziye could see that Mingjie hadn’t truly come back. Xue Ziye asked Tong to take the Dragon Blood Pearl to the capital and stage his own death so that Zhang Wujue would believe he had died, erasing Tong’s identity for good.
The next day, Tong took the Dragon Blood Pearl from Xue Ziye and prepared to go to Yuanyi Palace to kill Zhang Wujue. But Xue Ziye, who had seen through everything, sealed his acupoints, rendering him unable to move. No matter what Tong said, Xue Ziye was determined not to let him return to that hellish place in Yuanyi Palace. Tong was no longer Mingjie, and he refused to trust Xue Ziye. He had only ever believed in himself.
