Huo Zhanbai couldn’t stop thinking about his promise to Xue Ziye. Wei Fengxing, seeing that he had found his place, suggested they both return to Guazhou and live as neighbors. While the idea sounded peaceful, Huo Zhanbai was uncertain if Xue Ziye would want that. He wanted to return to Yaoshi Valley and accompany Xue Ziye in doing whatever she wished to pursue. At this time, Xue Ziye was in Yuan Yi Palace.

Having already pushed her limits to expel the Soul-Eater Powder from Tong, the poison had infiltrated her organs. She began to miss Huo Zhanbai deeply, almost hearing his voice urging her to bury a jar of Laughing Dust under the plum tree and wait for him to return so they could drink it together. Xue Ziye checked Zhang Wujue’s pulse, but he grew furious, grabbing her by the throat until she assured him she could heal him.

She had him drink her medicine and wait for a quarter of an hour before beginning the treatment. She also instructed him to light calming incense to relieve the pain. When Xue Ziye saw the scars covering Zhang Wujue’s back, she paused momentarily, but quickly resumed her acupuncture work. Outside the hall, Xu Chonghua drove away the guards while Miao Shui grew restless inside.

At the critical moment, Xue Ziye made her move, but she didn’t expect Zhang Wujue to still have the strength to fight back. Despite Miao Feng’s protection, she was harshly thrown to the ground. At this point, Miao Shui delivered the final blow to Zhang Wujue, killing the man she loathed, who deserved to die for his countless crimes. Had Zhang Wujue forgotten the massacre of the Sang Nation twenty-one years ago?

Miao Shui was, in fact, the princess of Sang, and the sister Miao Feng had been searching for all along. She had witnessed the slaughter of her people, hid her identity, and was even bought by Zhang Wujue. Now, she had finally avenged her people. The truth left Miao Feng stunned, and though he begged Miao Shui to spare him, she refused, intending to eliminate every threat.

Xue Ziye, coughing up blood, pleaded with Miao Shui to spare Miao Feng, but Miao Shui remained adamant in her resolve. Miao Feng looked to Miao Shui, begging that if he died, she would at least spare Xue Ziye. Miao Shui found it amusing that there was another person besides Zhang Wujue for whom Miao Feng would care so deeply. As Miao Shui prepared to strike, Xue Ziye called out the name Yami, triggering Miao Shui’s memories.

While she initially denied it, she searched for proof, realizing that it was indeed him. However, Miao Feng, who had aided Zhang Wujue’s tyranny, had turned a blind eye to her suffering, so there was no reason to reconcile now. Just then, Zhang Wujue, not yet dead, with a face that had aged overnight, lunged at Miao Shui with a final attack. Miao Feng shielded her from the blow.

To prevent Zhang Wujue from harming Miao Feng again, Miao Shui sacrificed herself to kill Zhang Wujue completely, but was thrown out of the hall in the process, dying on the spot. Severely injured, Xue Ziye had diverted the Soul-Eater Powder to herself, enduring immense pain and shedding tears. Miao Feng, noticing this, was stunned to find his Mu Chun Feng technique had been restored.

Xue Ziye, barely conscious, murmured about Yaoshi Valley, prompting Miao Feng to hurry to bring her back. Xu Chonghua, seeing this, did not intervene. Later, Xu Chonghua approached Tong with a proposal. He informed him that Zhang Wujue was dead and offered to help Tong ascend to the position of Pavilion Master, on the condition that Tong assists in eliminating the Seven Swords of the Dingjian Pavilion.

Once accomplished, they would divide control of the martial world, with Xu Chonghua claiming the position of Pavilion Master of Dingjian Pavilion.
