The Blossoming Love Synopsis

In ancient times, the Human Emperor, Zhao Ming, petitioned on behalf of the people and sacrificed himself to resist the divine realm. After Zhao Ming's fall, his beloved, Hun Dun Zhu, risked her life to save a wisp of his soul, setting up the cycle of reincarnation for eternity. In the distant future, Zhao Ming reincarnated as Xie Xuechen, the leader of the Immortal Alliance, while Hun Dun Zhu became the Holy Maiden Mu Xuanling in the Dark Abyss. The two finally reunited in the mortal realm but had forgotten their past, becoming adversaries in a "righteous versus evil" struggle. Mu Xuanling saved the heavily injured Xie Xuechen in the Dark Abyss and coerced him to travel together in gratitude for saving his life.

Throughout their journey, the two went from harboring schemes against each other to fighting side by side, gradually letting go of their guard and developing feelings for each other. However, amidst the conspiracy to seize the divine artifact, the "Chaos Pearl," they found themselves in a life-and-death trial. Mu Xuanling sacrificed herself to save the world, and Xie Xuechen defied fate to go back in time and rescue her. With the end of the eternal calamity, Xie Xuechen's soul finally returned to Zhao Ming, but Zhao Ming's original form had become a demon god. Mu Xuanling used love to awaken the demon god, dispelling the catastrophe, and bringing peace to the world.

The Blossoming Love Recap

Episode 1 Recap

In the Dark Abyss, Lava Execution Ground, Xie Xuechen was trapped. The Dark Abyss Lord, Sang Qi, led his people there to join forces against Xie Xuechen. Soon, the Dark Abyss’s Holy Maiden, Mu Xuanling, arrived. She remarked that this Melting Abyss had been the burial ground of the gods ten thousand years ago.

Every hour, the wrath of ancient gods would erupt, lashing at one’s soul and causing excruciating pain, making it one of the world’s two most terrifying places, along with the God-Slaying Platform of the Divine Realm. Mu Xuanling mentioned that no one had ever lasted three days here, yet Xie Xuechen had endured seven. She acknowledged his title as the Son of Heaven’s Will and the strongest sword cultivator. Lifting Xie Xuechen’s face, Mu Xuanling commented on his unforgettable appearance.

She asked if they had met before. Xie Xuechen shook off her hand, but Mu Xuanling immediately grabbed his face and kissed him. She teased that she had heard he had endured seven days without yielding and admired his unyielding spirit. Stroking his lips, she mockingly observed that while his bones were hard, his lips were surprisingly soft. Mu Xuanling lamented that it was a pity he had exhausted all his cultivation, leaving him unable to break Sang Qi’s formation.

As she spoke, she began touching him again, remarking that Xie Xuechen was willing to sacrifice his life for humanity and questioning why he bothered. Xie Xuechen sarcastically replied that it would be a shame for such a handsome man to die. A nearby man chimed in, saying that if Xie Xuechen agreed to join them, they would clean him up and present him to her.

Meanwhile, Sang Qi was in seclusion when the Elder of the Decayed Predecessors came to visit him. Sang Qi questioned why the elder insisted on disturbing him during his retreat. The elder praised Sang Qi for being formidable enough to send a clone despite being injured. Sang Qi asked if the elder was there to spy on him. The elder reminded Sang Qi of his promise to assist them.

Sang Qi assured him he hadn’t forgotten and acknowledged their desire for the Chaos Pearl, stating that he was also searching for it. Sang Qi warned them not to interfere, promising to inform them of any results. With that, he took something from the elder before dismissing him. After the elder left, Mu Xuanling arrived, questioning Sang Qi about his collaboration with the human race.

She reminded him of the irreconcilable enmity between their races and accused him of keeping his plans from her. She asked if he thought she was inferior. Mu Xuanling revealed that she knew Sang Qi was searching for the Chaos Pearl and had imprisoned Xie Xuechen in the Melting Abyss to force him to reveal the whereabouts of the Immortal Alliance Token, as only the token could lead to the Chaos Pearl.

As they argued, someone informed them that Xie Xuechen had broken in. Mu Xuanling told Sang Qi to stay while she handled him. Outside, Xie Xuechen had already defeated all the guards at the gate. Mu Xuanling confronted him and the two clashed. However, Xie Xuechen was no match for Mu Xuanling. Soon, Zhan Ying from the Dark Abyss arrived to attack Xie Xuechen.

To stop him, Mu Xuanling placed Xie Xuechen’s sword against her own neck and secretly whispered that this was exactly what she wanted. Using the situation, Mu Xuanling took Xie Xuechen and escaped the Dark Abyss. Xie Xuechen managed to speak a few words before collapsing. Mu Xuanling carried him to a nearby home. When Xie Xuechen awoke, he saw Mu Xuanling. As they playfully wrestled on the bed, an elderly woman entered, bringing Xie Xuechen some food.

The two pretended to be a couple who had eloped and were on the run, hiding from their pursuers. Mu Xuanling insisted on staying by Xie Xuechen’s side, but he refused, reminding her that she was from the Dark Abyss and not a good person. She warned him not to forget that if she wished, she could hold all of humanity hostage for her benefit.

After staying for a few days, they prepared to leave but were pursued by Yu Ying from the Dark Abyss. Using a heart-demon illusion technique, Yu Ying trapped them. Mu Xuanling taunted Yu Ying, asking her to consider how Xie Xuechen had escaped the Melting Abyss. She pointed out that without assistance, Xie Xuechen could never have made it out. Mu Xuanling then revealed that she was the one who had helped him escape. Hearing this, Yu Ying hesitated.

Episode 2 Recap

Mu Xuanling told Yu Ying that it was their master, Lord Sang Qi, who had instructed her to let Xie Xuechen escape. By doing so, she could follow him and locate the Immortal Alliance Token. Yu Ying asked why, if this was the case, their master had still ordered them to pursue Xie Xuechen. Mu Xuanling explained that only through such actions could Xie Xuechen be convinced to trust her.

She instructed Yu Ying to first restrain Xie Xuechen, and at the critical moment, she would appear to save him. That way, Xie Xuechen would be grateful to her, and their relationship would grow closer. Mu Xuanling then asked Yu Ying if she could see Xie Xuechen's heart demon. Yu Ying released Xie Xuechen's heart demon, and Mu Xuanling saw a vision of him searching for a rabbit in a snowy field.

His father appeared and told him that the rabbit had already been killed and that he should stop looking for it. Xie Xuechen questioned why his father had killed the rabbit he loved. His father replied that Xie Xuechen bore a heavy responsibility and could not afford to have attachments. He asked Xie Xuechen what he would choose if, one day, he had to decide between the world and the thing he loved most.

Xie Xuechen asked why he must choose one or the other. His father told him that his responsibilities allowed no room for personal attachments. Yu Ying commented on how Xie Xuechen's illusion was different from others'. Mu Xuanling explained that it was because he had no desires. Yu Ying found it hard to believe, questioning how he could be without desire.

Mu Xuanling replied that he had been trained by his father from a young age and, with his unparalleled cultivation and fame, had nothing else to strive for. Mu Xuanling then asked Yu Ying if she could see Xie Xuechen’s memories from ten years ago. Yu Ying replied that her power could only reveal desires, not memories. Mu Xuanling remarked that Yu Ying was of no use to her, and with that, she killed Yu Ying.

However, Yu Ying’s shadow lingered, and Zhan Ying and others speculated whether Yu Ying had been killed by Mu Xuanling or Xie Xuechen. As Xie Xuechen prepared to leave, Mu Xuanling asked where he was going. Xie Xuechen told her not to follow him, saying that she was of the demon race while he was of the human race, and they were not meant to walk the same path.

Mu Xuanling, however, said that all paths lead to the same destination. She remarked that Xie Xuechen carried a scent, and they could track him using it. Mu Xuanling then revealed that she had a pair of Illusion Hairpins, which, when worn, would make others see them as ordinary people. She placed one of the hairpins on Xie Xuechen’s head and asked him to place the other on her. Ignoring her, Xie Xuechen left, but Mu Xuanling quickly followed him.

They arrived at an inn where the innkeeper informed them there was only one room left. Mu Xuanling insisted they take it. As they walked past, members of the Mirror Blossom Palace seated nearby noticed Xie Xuechen’s reluctance and speculated that Mu Xuanling looked like a wealthy young lady. They guessed Xie Xuechen must have some extraordinary qualities to accompany her. Overhearing this, Mu Xuanling teased Xie Xuechen, saying he indeed had remarkable qualities.

Not long after they entered their room, they sensed a demonic aura. Looking out the window, they saw the young master of Mirror Blossom Palace, Gao Qiumin, and a disciple, Cui Wanwan, arriving. The two took out a Treasure-Sniffing Mouse named A Bao. Mu Xuanling recognized it as a spirit race creature like herself and noticed that A Bao was on the verge of death from fear. Mu Xuanling struck Gao Qiumin, allowing A Bao to escape.

Later that night, A Bao quietly approached Mu Xuanling and transformed into a little girl, revealing that she had just learned how to take human form. A Bao told them that she came from Bixiao Palace and that her father was Fu Cangli. Xie Xuechen asked why she hadn’t registered at the Spirit Temple. Mu Xuanling explained that if they registered now, they would be captured and beaten.

She expressed sympathy for A Bao, but their actions had already drawn Gao Qiumin’s suspicion. Gao Qiumin and Cui Wanwan pursued Mu Xuanling and Xie Xuechen. During the battle, Mu Xuanling recognized Gao Qiumin as someone who had previously bullied her and attempted to kill her. However, Xie Xuechen stopped her, leading to an argument between the two. In the end, Xie Xuechen trapped Mu Xuanling in his Linglong Shackles.

Episode 3 Recap

Feng Yao asked the young master in the carriage behind her, Nan Xuyue, why he had come here. Nan Xuyue replied that he had calculated long ago that he would meet an old acquaintance here today. He wondered if she would still recognize him. Meanwhile, under the blazing sun, Mu Xuanling sat trapped in the Linglong Shackles, remarking that Xie Xuechen had left her here to "roast meat. " As she mused, she heard A Bao’s voice.

A Bao announced that she had found the smartest person in the world to save her. Mu Xuanling muttered quietly that in A Bao’s mind, everyone in the world was smart. However, she overheard the person recognizing the Linglong Shackles and stating that whoever set the formation clearly didn’t want to kill her. Mu Xuanling thought that someone who could identify the Linglong Shackles must indeed be remarkable.

Nan Xuyue continued, explaining that setting up such a formation required blood and immense spiritual power. Yet, the person had not killed her, likely due to lacking the strength to face their enemy directly. Hearing this, Mu Xuanling felt the person was genuinely capable. She admitted that she had had a misunderstanding with a friend and asked if he could help her break the Linglong Shackles so she could resolve the misunderstanding.

Nan Xuyue, realizing she was referring to Xie Xuechen, told her the method to unlock the Linglong Shackles. Following his instructions, Mu Xuanling successfully broke free. Nan Xuyue then introduced himself as the master of Yunxiu Manor, revealing that her "friend" was Xie Xuechen. Mu Xuanling, puzzled, asked how he knew. Nan Xuyue explained that the Linglong Shackles were something he and Xie Xuechen had created together, which was why he could unlock them.

Mu Xuanling asked if he was also Xie Xuechen’s friend. Nan Xuyue nodded. Mu Xuanling remarked that it was surprising someone like Xie Xuechen could have friends. Nan Xuyue retorted, saying wasn’t she also Xie Xuechen’s friend? Embarrassed, Mu Xuanling lowered her head. Nan Xuyue invited her to come to Yunxiu Manor with him, saying Xie Xuechen would also be there.

A Bao wanted to tag along, but Mu Xuanling, stating she had things to do, refused to let A Bao follow her. A Bao then asked Nan Xuyue if she could visit his manor as a guest. Nan Xuyue glanced at Mu Xuanling, who told him that A Bao’s question was directed at him, and he should decide. Nan Xuyue agreed, allowing A Bao to accompany them to Yunxiu Manor. Shortly after they arrived, Xie Xuechen appeared.

Upon seeing Mu Xuanling, he immediately asked Nan Xuyue why he had brought her along. Mu Xuanling called Xie Xuechen a scoundrel before storming off, leaving the two men alone. Xie Xuechen confided in Nan Xuyue that he suspected there was a traitor within the Immortal Alliance. Nan Xuyue, knowing Xie Xuechen’s character, deduced that his capture by the Dark Abyss was deliberate.

Xie Xuechen confirmed this, explaining that he had allowed himself to be captured to investigate the Dark Abyss. There, he discovered that Sang Qi was colluding with the Immortal Alliance to target the Chaos Pearl. Xie Xuechen emphasized that the key now was to identify the traitor, but his spiritual power had not yet recovered. Nan Xuyue offered to help restore his power, which he did successfully.

Xie Xuechen thanked him, but Nan Xuyue merely told him to take better care of himself. Xie Xuechen remarked that this was only the beginning and that someone was orchestrating everything from behind the scenes. Ten years ago, Xie Xuechen had saved Mu Xuanling, but during the same period, Nan Xuyue, injured and recuperating at home, was befriended by Mu Xuanling. Mu Xuanling later asked A Bao if it was possible for someone to come back to life after death.

A Bao explained that her mother had told her only the Dark Clan could revive the dead. For the Human and Divine Clans, death was final—though, under special circumstances, revival might be possible. A Bao added that her mother had also taught her to back down when necessary since she only had one life. Just then, Nan Xuyue’s subordinate, Feng Yao, came to report trouble: Gao Qiumin had arrived, seeking a place to stay.

Nan Xuyue went to prepare a room for her, while Xie Xuechen exchanged a few words with her, quickly realizing that she was possessed by Zhan Ying. Sensing the demonic aura, Mu Xuanling also emerged.

Episode 4 Recap

Xie Xuechen was about to attack Zhan Ying when Mu Xuanling stopped him, saying she should handle it instead. Xie Xuechen insisted that he would take care of it, but Mu Xuanling pointed out that his spiritual power had not fully recovered and insisted on doing it herself. Zhan Ying grew impatient, asking whether they were going to fight him or not.

While Xie Xuechen and Mu Xuanling argued over who would face Zhan Ying, Nan Xuyue appeared and sealed Zhan Ying into his fan. Before being sealed, Zhan Ying realized that they had already set up a formation and asked what mistake he had made. However, neither Xie Xuechen nor the others responded, and Zhan Ying’s projection was captured. Back in the Dark Abyss, Yu Ying asked Zhan Ying if he had died. Zhan Ying replied that he was still alive.

Yu Ying remarked that if Zhan Ying was alive, then Xie Xuechen and Mu Xuanling must have died. Zhan Ying clarified that neither of them had died. Chi Ying urged Zhan Ying to quickly retrieve his projection. Zhan Ying activated his spiritual power to recover it but failed. Meanwhile, Mu Xuanling asked Xie Xuechen how he had realized that Gao Qiumin was possessed by Zhan Ying. Xie Xuechen didn’t answer and walked away.

Nan Xuyue told her that Xie Xuechen would explain when he was ready and then asked why she was following him. Mu Xuanling confessed that she liked Xie Xuechen and asked Nan Xuyue if there was truly an engagement between Xie Xuechen and Gao Qiumin. Nan Xuyue replied that there didn’t seem to be one, but rumors within the Immortal Alliance had led people to believe there was.

Mu Xuanling said that Xie Xuechen carried the weight of the world on his shoulders, so she was content to stay by his side and protect him. Nan Xuyue looked at her, thinking to himself that this must be what it meant to give selflessly without expecting anything in return. Later, they returned to their rooms, and Xie Xuechen carried Gao Qiumin away. Mu Xuanling, seeing this, remarked that he actually carried her.

She jokingly asked Nan Xuyue if it was still possible to release Zhan Ying now. Her comment made Nan Xuyue laugh. Gao Qiumin then woke up, and Xie Xuechen explained that she had been possessed by someone from the Dark Clan. Gao Qiumin became furious, saying she should have killed all of them back then. Gao Qiumin asked about her junior sister, Cui Wanwan. Xie Xuechen reassured her that Cui Wanwan had already been sent back to Jinghua Palace.

Suddenly, fireworks appeared in the sky. Nan Xuyue recognized it as Feng Yao’s signal. He explained that the purple-red fireworks indicated either an enemy attack or a traitor within the Immortal Alliance. After some discussion, the group decided to head to Jinghua Palace to investigate. Gao Qiumin, seeing Mu Xuanling, commented that she didn’t recognize her. Nan Xuyue, noticing Xie Xuechen’s silence, introduced Mu Xuanling as his cousin.

Mu Xuanling insisted on accompanying them to Jinghua Palace, but Xie Xuechen refused. Mu Xuanling retorted that even without his permission, she could still go. Nan Xuyue told her to pack her things and join them later. Xie Xuechen warned Mu Xuanling that the palace master of Jinghua Palace, Su Ningzhen, deeply resented the Spirit Clan. He advised her to be careful, stating that he wouldn’t help her if anything happened.

When they arrived at Jinghua Palace, Gao Qiumin met Su Ningzhen and told her that she had returned with Xie Xuechen and the others. Su Ningzhen asked why she didn’t see them, and Gao Qiumin explained that they had heard about the missing Jade Token and were pursuing another lead. Su Ningzhen grew agitated upon hearing that Xie Xuechen had been captured by Sang Qi during his disappearance.

She grabbed Gao Qiumin’s hand, urging her to remember that Sang Qi was her enemy and that she must kill him to avenge her. Su Ningzhen squeezed Gao Qiumin’s hand so hard that it left a wound. Realizing this, Su Ningzhen quickly let go and instructed Jinghua Palace Elder Xi to take Gao Qiumin to treat her injury.

Meanwhile, Mu Xuanling, upset that Xie Xuechen didn’t trust her, asked Nan Xuyue if there was something she could use to prove her loyalty. Nan Xuyue produced a pair of bracelets, explaining that wearing them would allow Xie Xuechen to control her. Without hesitation, Mu Xuanling put them on. She and Xie Xuechen deduced that the person who stole the Jade Token might be hiding in a hot spring inn.

Sure enough, they found a Snake Spirit named Yan Si there. A fierce fight broke out between the three. Yan Si was about to injure Mu Xuanling, but Xie Xuechen intervened just in time to pull her away.

Episode 5 Recap

Xie Xuechen and Mu Xuanling fought with Yan Si, but Xie Xuechen deliberately let Yan Si escape. Mu Xuanling asked him why he did that, and Xie Xuechen explained that it was unlikely Yan Si could have stolen the Jade Token so easily with the tight security at Jinghua Palace. He speculated that Yan Si must have an accomplice and added that they would see if Nan Xuyue could catch up with her.

Sure enough, Yan Si arrived in an alley, where she handed the Jade Token to a man in black. She urged him to deliver the token to the Lord of the Pavilion and complete their grand mission. Feng Yao caught up with Yan Si and told the man in black to leave first. As Feng Yao approached step by step, Yan Si took her own life.

Feng Yao retrieved Yan Si’s inner core and admitted that it was her mistake for letting the man in black escape. Nan Xuyue reassured her, saying at least they had now confirmed Yan Si had an accomplice. Feng Yao revealed that she overheard their conversation, where Yan Si had instructed the man to ensure the Jade Token was delivered to the Lord of the Pavilion.

Hearing this, Xie Xuechen deduced that this Lord must have some connection with the Decaying Immortal Pavilion. Mu Xuanling remarked that the name alone suggested animosity toward the Immortal Alliance. Feng Yao thought for a moment and mentioned noticing something peculiar earlier. She shared her observations with Nan Xuyue and the others. Following this, Xie Xuechen instructed Gao Qiumin to investigate everyone at Jinghua Palace.

Elder Zai Xi informed Su Ningzhen about the situation, explaining that Gao Qiumin suspected there was a traitor within the palace and was conducting a person-by-person investigation. Zai Xi asked Su Ningzhen if she should intervene, but Su Ningzhen declined, saying this was a good opportunity to reorganize the palace. Su Ningzhen even ordered Zai Xi to tell Gao Qiumin to conduct thorough body searches during the investigation.

As Zai Xi was about to leave, Su Ningzhen stopped her and questioned her recent activities. Zai Xi explained herself, and Su Ningzhen let her go after hearing her account. Zai Xi glanced back at Su Ningzhen from the doorway, feeling something was amiss. Meanwhile, Gao Qiumin reported back to Xie Xuechen, stating that she had thoroughly investigated everyone at Jinghua Palace and was confident there was no problem.

Gao Qiumin questioned whether they had made a mistake, insisting there was no traitor in the palace. Xie Xuechen asked if she was certain she had investigated everyone. Gao Qiumin affirmed, but when Xie Xuechen asked if she had investigated Cui Wanwan, she immediately defended Cui Wanwan, saying she wouldn’t do such a thing. Nan Xuyue then mentioned that Feng Yao had seen hook-shaped leaves in Jinghua Palace that day.

Feng Yao quickly drew the leaves and showed Gao Qiumin, explaining that such leaves did not exist within the palace. She added that the leaves she saw outside were green, indicating they were fresh and less than two hours old. Leaves would turn brown after two hours. Xie Xuechen pointed out that on the day in question, Gao Qiumin was at Yunxiu Manor, while Cui Wanwan used the opportunity to enter Jinghua Palace and steal the Jade Token.

Gao Qiumin refused to believe it was Cui Wanwan. Xie Xuechen asked why she was so certain. Gao Qiumin admitted she just didn’t want to believe it. Mu Xuanling, frustrated, retorted that if she didn’t want to believe it, then what was the point of their efforts over the past few days—was it all a game to her? Gao Qiumin left, and Nan Xuyue remarked that Mu Xuanling seemed hostile toward Gao Qiumin.

Mu Xuanling admitted she didn’t like her and had always disliked her. Back at Jinghua Palace, Gao Qiumin searched Cui Wanwan’s room but found nothing. She encountered Nan Xuyue and Xie Xuechen there and reported that her search yielded no evidence. Nan Xuyue revealed that they had cast a spell on Yan Si’s inner core and would be able to see all her memories in two hours. Overhearing this, Cui Wanwan panicked, fearing her secret would be exposed.

She went to the inn to retrieve the inner core, unaware that it was a trap set by Xie Xuechen. Cui Wanwan was discovered and, during her escape, was killed by Su Ningzhen. Afterward, Su Ningzhen invited Xie Xuechen and the others to dine at Jinghua Palace. During the meal, a Soul-Seizing Gu from the Dark Abyss suddenly appeared.

Episode 6 Recap

While Mu Xuanling and Xie Xuechen were eating, a Soul-Seizing Gu suddenly appeared, even infecting Su Ningzhen. Nan Xuyue used his spell to temporarily seal the door. Xie Xuechen asked how long the spell would hold, and Nan Xuyue replied it wouldn’t last much longer. Xie Xuechen suggested they leave while he stayed behind, but Feng Yao pointed out that none of them could leave. Everyone turned to see the disciples of Jinghua Palace rushing in, all infected by the Gu.

Mu Xuanling prepared to kill them, but Xie Xuechen stopped her, saying they were still people and shouldn’t be killed. Mu Xuanling cut her hand to expel the Gu from the disciples’ bodies. Mu Xuanling explained that only demonic arts could counteract the Gu, using poison to combat poison. Xie Xuechen worried about her injury and urged her to stop, but Mu Xuanling asked if he was concerned about her. Xie Xuechen said nothing.

Finally, Mu Xuanling used her demonic arts to expel the Gu from everyone, then collapsed into Xie Xuechen’s arms. Nan Xuyue also reached out to catch her, but she fell into Xie Xuechen's embrace instead. Nan Xuyue checked Mu Xuanling’s pulse and noted that her old injuries had worsened. He added that Mu Xuanling’s spiritual core was damaged. Xie Xuechen mentioned that she had told him about it before.

Xie Xuechen urged Nan Xuyue to find a way to save her, and Nan Xuyue went to the study to look for a solution. Xie Xuechen recalled Mu Xuanling telling him she could only cultivate demonic arts because of her damaged spiritual core. He noticed a notebook she had dropped on the ground and hesitated to pick it up, remembering how she had once asked if he wanted to read it.

Despite his hesitation, he eventually opened the notebook and thought about the scene of Mu Xuanling writing in it. Xie Xuechen remembered that Mu Xuanling had asked him to give her the spirit pill from Yu Ying to enhance her strength. He took out the pill and fed it to her. Shortly after, Mu Xuanling opened her eyes and saw Xie Xuechen glowing with a purple light. Mu Xuanling immediately hugged Xie Xuechen.

When he asked how she was, she said her whole body hurt. As she spoke, she began kissing Xie Xuechen, saying her clothes felt like they were cutting into her. She reached to remove them, but Xie Xuechen stopped her. She then kissed him on the lips and even bit him, leaving Xie Xuechen no choice but to knock her unconscious. He placed her on the bed to let her rest.

When Xie Xuechen stepped outside to get some air, Gao Qiumin arrived. She said she had come to check on him. Xie Xuechen asked her not to reveal anything about Mu Xuanling. Gao Qiumin teased him, asking why he was suddenly sympathetic to the Spirit Clan. Xie Xuechen replied that she wasn’t much different. Gao Qiumin told him to manage his people, assuring him she wouldn’t spread any rumors. She then went to see Su Ningzhen, who had mostly recovered.

Su Ningzhen asked how the five of them had managed to fend off so many people infected with Gu. Gao Qiumin explained that Xie Xuechen had discovered their weakness, leading to their success. Xie Xuechen and his group bid farewell to Su Ningzhen and prepared to return to Yunxiu Manor. Gao Qiumin came to see them off, and she and Mu Xuanling had another argument.

Xie Xuechen asked Mu Xuanling what grudge she had against Gao Qiumin, but Mu Xuanling only replied that he wouldn’t remember even if she told him, then stormed off. When the group returned to Yunxiu Manor, A Bao happily hugged Mu Xuanling upon seeing her. One of Nan Xuyue’s subordinates informed them that preparations were underway to send Xie Xuechen back to Yongxue City.

Mu Xuanling caught up with Xie Xuechen and asked if she could accompany him to Yongxue City. Xie Xuechen asked if she truly intended to abandon the darkness for the light. Mu Xuanling admitted that he might think her words were a mix of truth and lies, but she had no choice in the Dark Abyss—if she didn’t act that way, she would die. However, she genuinely wished to stand in the sunlight.

Xie Xuechen agreed to let her accompany him to Yongxue City. Not far away, Feng Yao asked Nan Xuyue if he planned to let this old acquaintance leave. Nan Xuyue replied that she couldn’t be stopped, so he would go with her.

Episode 7 Recap

Nan Xuyue activated the formation, saying it was ready and they could all step inside. It would only take ten breaths of time to reach Yongxue City. Mu Xuanling reminded A Bao not to forget the promise she had made. A Bao assured her that she wouldn’t cause any trouble in Yongxue City. She added that if she sensed the presence of the Dark Clan, she would immediately inform Mu Xuanling.

After saying this, A Bao transformed into a sniffing treasure mouse and burrowed into the pouch Mu Xuanling carried. As they looked at Nan Xuyue’s formation, they noticed a death curse had been cast on it. Nan Xuyue urgently called Feng Yao to help him. In the end, the formation was forced to shut down. Nan Xuyue speculated that someone had tampered with the materials used to activate the formation.

A Bao blamed herself for failing to detect the killing formation, but Nan Xuyue explained that the aura of a killing formation was inherently hard to detect, especially when concealed. Xie Xuechen also reassured her, and Mu Xuanling added that since her cultivation level was low, no one could blame her. Xie Xuechen suspected this was all orchestrated by the Xiu Xian Pavilion. He proposed that everything, starting from the incident at Jinghua Palace, was a two-pronged scheme.

Nan Xuyue elaborated that if Xie Xuechen was right, the chaos at Jinghua Palace served two purposes: stealing the jade token and creating a distraction, allowing them to sabotage the formation materials. Xie Xuechen pointed out that Nan Xuyue, being the most knowledgeable about the formation, would have detected any anomalies if he had been present. He explained that the large commotion was intentionally caused to lure Nan Xuyue away.

Mu Xuanling agreed, adding that Nan Xuyue’s work on the formation wasn’t a secret. Moreover, Xie Xuechen’s decision to stop at Yunxiu Manor instead of heading directly to Yongxue City upon leaving the Dark Abyss had likely been anticipated. Knowing that Xie Xuechen’s powers hadn’t fully recovered, they would have guessed he’d rely on the formation to return. Now, they weren’t sure what to do next. Nan Xuyue thought for a moment and said there was still another way.

He pulled out a small boat, saying it could take them to Yongxue City. Mu Xuanling doubted the tiny vessel could carry them, but Nan Xuyue poured water over it. The miniature boat immediately transformed into a flying ship. They all boarded, preparing to leave. Nan Xuyue mentioned that while the formation would have taken only ten breaths to reach their destination, the ship would take a bit longer. Mu Xuanling sat by the edge of the ship, admiring the view.

Nan Xuyue joined her, and as they were chatting, Xie Xuechen came out as well. Mu Xuanling asked if he was also there to enjoy the scenery. Xie Xuechen replied that he was just getting some fresh air. Mu Xuanling teased him, saying he lacked a sense of romance and should learn from Nan Xuyue. Xie Xuechen warned her that such comments could get her expelled from her sect in Yongxue City.

Mu Xuanling replied that she understood and would restrain herself. Two days later, they arrived above Yongxue City. Nan Xuyue explained to Mu Xuanling that unlike Jinghua Palace, where it was spring all year round, Yongxue City was blanketed in snow and ice year-round—a pure, flawless expanse where no imperfection was tolerated. They soon arrived at the city gates, where the disciples greeted Xie Xuechen, the Young City Lord, with great respect.

Xie Xuechen met Elder Cang, who greeted both him and Nan Xuyue before turning his attention to Mu Xuanling. Xie Xuechen introduced her, stating that she would now be a disciple of Yongxue City. He instructed her to follow Elder Cang for training. Xie Xuechen asked where the Alliance Leader was, saying he needed to meet him. Elder Yu explained that the Alliance Leader was still in seclusion.

Xie Xuechen remarked that the Alliance Leader had been in seclusion since before he left and still hadn’t come out. When Xie Xuechen went to find the Alliance Leader, he discovered that the man—his father—had passed away. Overcome with grief and guilt, he blamed himself. Nan Xuyue noted that the Jinghua Palace incident had achieved not just two but three objectives, and Xie Xuechen busied himself with work to numb his sorrow.

Mu Xuanling expressed concern to Nan Xuyue, saying that Xie Xuechen would burn out if he continued this way. Nan Xuyue mentioned that Xie Xuechen hadn’t always been like this, but after his cultivation breakthrough, he had become calm, restrained, and cold. Determined to comfort him, Mu Xuanling sought out Xie Xuechen. Although he told her to leave, she refused. She reminded him that he didn’t need to suppress his emotions and could still feel.

After her persistent reassurance, Xie Xuechen broke down in tears and embraced her. Nan Xuyue saw this and quietly walked away.

Episode 8 Recap

After comforting Xie Xuechen, Mu Xuanling left and noticed Nan Xuyue standing not far away. She asked him why he didn’t try to console Xie Xuechen. Nan Xuyue replied that when his father had passed away, Xie Xuechen had stood far away as well. He explained that they both understood each other without words. Mu Xuanling realized she had forgotten that Nan Xuyue had also lost his father.

She asked if Nan Xuyue had ever thought about avenging his father, who had been killed by the Spirit Clan. Nan Xuyue replied that those who deserved to die were already dead, and the revenge he needed to take had already been taken. He then asked if Mu Xuanling had known Xie Xuechen before. Mu Xuanling remained silent, staring at him. Nan Xuyue said her reaction had already given him the answer.

Nan Xuyue pointed out that the way Mu Xuanling looked at Xie Xuechen wasn’t just out of affection. “The person involved often can’t see clearly, but the bystander always can,” he said. He asked her why she didn’t tell Xie Xuechen. Mu Xuanling admitted that she had wanted to tell him before, but later decided against it. She felt that Xie Xuechen already carried enough pain, and the circumstances under which they had met weren’t exactly happy memories.

Mu Xuanling thought about the time Xie Xuechen had sacrificed himself to save her. She said it was enough for her to remember his kindness. Nan Xuyue then asked if she still remembered him. From the look on her face, he realized she had forgotten. He explained that when they first met, her face bore golden patterns, and the bells she wore on her feet were unforgettable.

Nan Xuyue said that while everyone else pitied him, Mu Xuanling had seen through him. She had treated him like a normal person rather than showing him pity. Hearing this, Mu Xuanling realized he was the young master she had met before. Nan Xuyue asked if her promise to give him “a little bit of affection” still held true. Mu Xuanling froze, and Nan Xuyue smiled, saying he was just joking.

Mu Xuanling teased him, saying he was now surrounded by so many admirers that he didn’t need her little bit of affection anymore. Nan Xuyue laughed and offered to take her back. Meanwhile, after arranging his father’s funeral, Xie Xuechen approached Elder Yu, reminding him of an unfinished game of chess between them.

Elder Yu asked why, after all this time, Xie Xuechen still wanted to finish the game. He wondered if there was a wager involved. Xie Xuechen revealed that if he won, Elder Yu would have to tell him who the master of the Xiu Xian Pavilion was. Shocked, Elder Yu realized Xie Xuechen already knew.

Elder Yu’s men prepared to attack, but Xie Xuechen quickly subdued them. Elder Yu was stunned to see that Xie Xuechen’s powers had returned. Xie Xuechen admitted that he had already recovered before returning. He questioned Elder Yu about why he had allied with the Xiu Xian Pavilion’s master. Elder Yu replied that the master’s immense power left him no choice but to obey.

When Xie Xuechen asked if it was only because of fear, Elder Yu replied bitterly, “Only? For you, death might mean nothing. But for us, only by staying alive can we accomplish anything else.” Xie Xuechen pressed him for the whereabouts of the Xiu Xian Pavilion’s master, but Elder Yu claimed that the master’s location was a secret, with communication carried out through letters.

When Xie Xuechen demanded to know who had killed his father, Elder Yu confessed that he had only taken away the guards at his father’s door and knew nothing more. In the end, Xie Xuechen killed Elder Yu.

Mu Xuanling expressed surprise, saying she didn’t expect him to kill humans. Xie Xuechen explained that he acted based on what was right and wrong. When Mu Xuanling asked how he judged the Spirit Clan, Xie Xuechen said it was the same. He revealed that he had brought her to Yongxue City to change how others viewed the Spirit Clan.

To her dismay, Mu Xuanling realized that life in Yongxue City also involved daily lessons. After class, Elder Cang informed her that it was her turn to clean. While cleaning in Xie Xuechen’s courtyard, she noticed a Xuanling tree. Surprised, she remarked that this tree only grew in the Dark Abyss. Xie Xuechen explained that it had been there for a long time.

As he observed Mu Xuanling, Xie Xuechen thought to himself that she should find her place in this city. He then took her to select a sword. Mu Xuanling chose one and decided to name it “First Sword.”

Meanwhile, Sang Qi emerged from seclusion and ordered Yu Ying and Zhan Ying to report to the Xiu Xian Pavilion’s master. He emphasized that their priority was to confirm whether Xie Xuechen’s powers had truly been restored. He added that there were still other matters he needed to attend to next.

Episode 9 Recap

Mu Xuanling sat quietly to the side. Nan Xuyue approached her, asking why she claimed to be unwell when speaking to Elder Cang, yet was still here. Mu Xuanling explained that she didn’t want to see the people from the Immortal Alliance. She then asked Nan Xuyue why he wasn’t joining them either. Nan Xuyue replied that since he wasn’t a part of the Immortal Alliance, he didn’t want to get involved in the commotion.

Mu Xuanling asked if they might discover the demonic energy within her. Nan Xuyue reassured her that the spirit ink sigil on her body would typically conceal it. When Mu Xuanling asked about unusual circumstances, Nan Xuyue smirked and said it would depend on how strong her fate was. Mu Xuanling muttered that seeing the people from Xuantian Sect was even less desirable than the Immortal Alliance and cast a glance at Su Ningzhen, standing not far away.

Mu Xuanling sighed, “It seems enemies are always bound to cross paths. ” Nan Xuyue remarked that back at Mingyue Manor, she had conflicts with high-ranking cultivators. This reminded Mu Xuanling of when Sang Qi attacked the Gao family. Gao Qiuyun’s father had forced her and Gao Qiuyun to exchange clothes, even saying it was Mu Xuanling’s honor to die in Gao Qiuyun’s place.

As the two watched the Immortal Alliance arrive at Yongxue City, Nan Xuyue pointed out that the Bixiao Palace had also arrived. He told Mu Xuanling that Bixiao Palace was the wealthiest sect. He introduced her to Fu Lansheng, the young palace master of Bixiao Palace. As he finished, Fu Lansheng noticed Nan Xuyue and told his mother, Duan Xiaorong, that he wanted to join them. After glancing at the group, Duan Xiaorong permitted him to go.

Fu Lansheng approached Nan Xuyue but was intrigued by Mu Xuanling standing beside him. He asked who she was, and Nan Xuyue introduced her. Fu Lansheng, meeting Mu Xuanling for the first time, wasn’t sure what gift would suit her. He took out several magical artifacts and offered them to her, saying they were newly acquired and she could take her pick.

Mu Xuanling hesitated, not wanting to accept, but Nan Xuyue encouraged her, saying Fu Lansheng’s family had plenty of such items. At that moment, A Bao called out, “Daddy! ” Fu Lansheng, startled, asked who had spoken. Mu Xuanling explained it was her spirit beast. Fu Lansheng urged her to let the spirit beast out, and after glancing at Nan Xuyue for approval, Mu Xuanling summoned A Bao. A Bao emerged, immediately calling Fu Lansheng “Daddy.

” Fu Lansheng was startled again, and A Bao declared that her father was the wealthiest cultivator. Fu Lansheng laughed and replied that he wasn’t the wealthiest—his father was. Curious, he asked for the name of A Bao’s father. A Bao proudly said, “Fu Cangli. ”Fu Lansheng was surprised and commented that the name sounded like someone from Bixiao Palace. He promised to keep an eye out for A Bao’s father and then bid farewell to them.

Meanwhile, the Immortal Alliance members convened in the main hall to discuss matters. Xie Xuechen informed them that his father had passed away. The couple from Bixiao Palace immediately concluded it must have been the work of Sang Qi and the people of Xiu Xian Pavilion. They vowed to avenge the late alliance master. However, Xie Xuechen shifted their focus to the Chaos Pearl, stating that the true goal of their enemies was undoubtedly the pearl.

Xie Xuechen proposed electing a new alliance leader to safeguard the Chaos Pearl. The Immortal Alliance unanimously recommended Xie Xuechen for the role, believing he was the most capable. Xie Xuechen declined, stating that his powers had yet to recover fully. Su Ningzhen then expressed her desire to become the alliance leader. Her suggestion was met with immediate opposition, leading to a physical altercation. Fortunately, the leader of Xuantian Sect intervened and stopped the fighting.

Xie Xuechen suggested postponing the discussion and invited the Immortal Alliance members to stay in the city for the time being. Su Ningzhen told Gao Qiuyun to observe and learn, as once she became the alliance leader, she would make Gao Qiuyun her successor. Meanwhile, Sang Qi ordered Chi Ying to warn Mu Xuanling not to forget her responsibilities. Chi Ying arrived at Yongxue City by possessing someone.

A Bao detected the aura of the Dark Clan and alerted Mu Xuanling and Nan Xuyue. Mu Xuanling told Nan Xuyue to stay behind while she went to investigate. Mu Xuanling confronted the possessed person and began fighting Chi Ying. Gao Qiuyun, witnessing the scene, mistakenly believed Mu Xuanling was attacking a human and struck her to the ground. The Xuantian Sect leader also recited a spell that severely injured Mu Xuanling. Lying injured, Mu Xuanling thought back to the time when she had defeated everyone and approached Sang Qi’s side.

Episode 10 Recap

Mu Xuanling lay gravely injured on the ground when Xie Xuechen rushed over. She told him her body hurt terribly, and Xie Xuechen replied that he knew. He picked her up and left immediately. Gao Qiuyun watched their departing figures and muttered, “It’s not like I did it on purpose. ” Just as she finished speaking, someone called her name from behind. Startled, she turned around to see Fu Lansheng.

Fu Lansheng thought to himself that Gao Qiuyun and Xie Xuechen had been engaged, but now it seemed Xie Xuechen and Mu Xuanling were entangled with each other. Worried that Gao Qiuyun might feel upset, he tried to comfort her. However, Gao Qiuyun’s real concern was that Fu Lansheng might have seen her harming Mu Xuanling. Their conversation ended with mutual misunderstandings. Gao Qiuyun quickly took both her sword and Mu Xuanling’s sword and left.

Shortly after, people from Xuantian Sect arrived, finding the area deserted. Their leader remarked that if Mu Xuanling had been truly strong, she could have fought back. Since she had fled, it was likely someone had rescued her. Xie Xuechen looked at Mu Xuanling lying on the bed, still groaning in pain, and felt deeply distressed. He prepared to use his spiritual energy to heal her wounds, but Mu Xuanling’s body couldn’t absorb it.

Xie Xuechen recalled how Mu Xuanling had once told him that her spiritual core was damaged, making it impossible for her to cultivate spiritual energy. He was shocked to find that not only could she not use spiritual energy, but she couldn’t absorb it either. Determined, Xie Xuechen took Mu Xuanling’s hand and transferred the curse from her body onto his own. Mu Xuanling’s injuries healed instantly.

Nan Xuyue, seeing this, remarked that Xie Xuechen had gone to great lengths for Mu Xuanling. Xie Xuechen explained that with the jade amulet protecting him, he didn’t feel much pain, but Mu Xuanling couldn’t endure it. Nan Xuyue said it was the first time he’d seen Xie Xuechen afraid of someone else being in pain and asked what Xie Xuechen truly felt about Mu Xuanling.

Xie Xuechen replied that since he was the one who brought her to Yongxue City, it was his responsibility to look after her. Then, Xie Xuechen told Nan Xuyue to stay and watch over Mu Xuanling, as it wasn’t appropriate for him to remain there. With that, he left. Watching him walk away, Nan Xuyue muttered, “Loving someone like him is exhausting. ” Meanwhile, Xie Xuechen repaired the curse on his body alone.

One of his disciples approached and told him it wasn’t worth it. Xie Xuechen asked how Mu Xuanling had been behaving recently. The disciple reported that she was on the verge of using up her ten warnings and would soon be expelled from Yongxue City. Xie Xuechen asked for the record book, erased all her recorded mistakes, and told the disciple, “I asked you to watch over her, not to document her faults.

”When Mu Xuanling woke up, she remembered that Xie Xuechen had been the one to bring her back. She was about to get out of bed when she heard someone coming and quickly lay down again. Nan Xuyue entered, carrying food. Mu Xuanling asked where Xie Xuechen was. Nan Xuyue explained that the Dark Clan had infiltrated the city, and Xie Xuechen was handling it.

Mu Xuanling scoffed at the curse from Xuantian Sect, saying it wasn’t as terrible as she’d imagined. Nan Xuyue told her she wasn’t in pain because someone had taken it on for her. He revealed that Xie Xuechen had transferred the curse onto himself. Angrily, Mu Xuanling asked who had told him to do that and said she would go find him. Nan Xuyue stopped her, saying it wouldn’t change anything.

Meanwhile, Xie Xuechen was discussing the Dark Clan’s infiltration with the leader of Xuantian Sect. They agreed that someone inside the city must have been aiding the Dark Clan. The leader assigned his junior, Xuan Xin, to assist Xie Xuechen in uncovering the traitor. Mu Xuanling found Xie Xuechen’s room cold and lifeless, so she decorated it with flowers and plants. Suddenly, she was pulled into an illusion by Sang Qi.

Sang Qi reminded her not to forget her mission—to kill Xie Xuechen and steal the Chaos Pearl. When Mu Xuanling woke up, she was in tears, having decided to sacrifice her life to save Xie Xuechen’s. Gao Qiuyun had been standing outside her door, hesitating to apologize. Just as she gathered her courage, Mu Xuanling appeared behind her. Gao Qiuyun gifted her a magical artifact that could create pleasant dreams and apologized.

That night, Mu Xuanling dreamed of sweet moments with Xie Xuechen. Meanwhile, Xie Xuechen and the Immortal Alliance were discussing the selection of the new alliance leader.

Episode 11 Recap

Xie Xuechen and the others selected a new alliance leader, who was Fa Jian from Xuantian Sect. Xie Xuechen told everyone to prepare well today, as tomorrow they would transfer the Chaos Pearl to Xuantian Sect for safekeeping. Gao Qiuyun sat alone, thinking that Su Ningzhen would be unhappy for not being chosen as the new leader. She knew she would probably be scolded when she returned.

As Gao Qiuyun sat there, the wind and sand blew, making her eyes water. While she rubbed her eyes, Fu Lansheng approached and mistakenly thought she was crying. He greeted her, and Gao Qiuyun explained that the wind and sand had made her eyes teary. Fu Lansheng offered to help by blowing on her eyes. Just then, Fu Yuanting and Duan Xiaorong saw them.

Fu Yuanting commented that Fu Lansheng was too soft-hearted, and there were too many women in Bi Xiao Palace who were interested in him. Duan Xiaorong said her son was indeed charming. The two of them spoke for a while before leaving. Once Gao Qiuyun’s eyes cleared up, Fu Lansheng comforted her, telling her not to worry about Mu Xuanling and Xie Xuechen. Though they had an engagement, Gao Qiuyun was angry at the suggestion.

She clarified that she had no engagement with Xie Xuechen and asked Fu Lansheng not to speak nonsense. After everyone left, Xie Xuechen asked Xuan Xin if he had noticed anything, to which Xuan Xin replied that he hadn’t seen anything unusual. Xie Xuechen then asked if he had discovered anything strange in the past two days. Xuan Xin said he would need to investigate further.

Xuan Xin went to visit his master, Yi Nian, and asked if he had any inner demons. Yi Nian replied that his inner demon was the desire to see his senior brother, Fa Jian, become the alliance leader. Xuan Xin pointed out that Fa Jian had already become the leader, and Yi Nian said he no longer had such an obsession. Mu Xuanling sat in front of Xie Xuechen’s door, perched on a tree.

She saw Xie Xuechen walk out and asked why he was outside when there was no moon tonight. Xie Xuechen asked when she had arrived, and Mu Xuanling responded that she had been there for a while. She told him that she had been observing the human world that day.

When Xie Xuechen asked what she had seen, Mu Xuanling said she had witnessed a street vendor selling hairpins for sixty wen to a group of people, but the last one was sold for ninety wen. She also saw that most people in the D market were losing all their money, and an old man on the street had his medical expenses stolen, yet no one stepped in to help.

Mu Xuanling asked if this was the world Xie Xuechen wanted to protect. He replied that there was still some hope. She said there was only a little bit of hope and didn’t think the human world was worth protecting. Mu Xuanling moved closer to Xie Xuechen, stood on her tiptoes, and kissed him. Xie Xuechen promised that when they had time, he would take her to see the real world.

Mu Xuanling thought to herself that she would protect this world for him, just this once. After kissing Xie Xuechen, she left. Xie Xuechen found her behavior a bit strange but decided to wait until tomorrow to ask her about it. The day of the new alliance leader’s inauguration and the transfer of the Chaos Pearl arrived. Xie Xuechen asked the leaders of the Immortal Alliance to bring the jade tokens forward.

He and Fa Jian went to the tower where the Chaos Pearl was stored. Xie Xuechen placed the five jade tokens in their respective positions and successfully retrieved the Chaos Pearl. He handed it to Fa Jian, who was preparing to leave and place it under Xuantian Sect’s care. Xie Xuechen stopped him, saying they should wait for Nan Xuyue to set up a formation.

He then explained to the group that when the Dark Clan infiltrated Yongxue City, someone inside must have been helping them, and their goal was also the Chaos Pearl. Xie Xuechen said that, given the importance of this occasion, the Dark Clan would surely show up. He told everyone that this formation had been newly developed by Nan Xuyue, and that neither the Dark Clan nor any traitors from the Immortal Alliance would be able to escape it.

Then, he asked Fa Jian to recite a spell, which would reveal if anyone had been possessed by Chi Ying of the Dark Clan. Suddenly, Fa Jian attacked Xie Xuechen and the others. Mu Xuanling realized that Fa Jian had been possessed by Chi Ying. A fierce battle broke out, and Xie Xuechen was puzzled as to why someone of Fa Jian’s high cultivation would fall under possession. It turned out that everything had been planned by Yi Nian.

Yi Nian had hoped that Fa Jian would become the alliance leader, and since Fa Jian had refused, he had used Chi Ying’s possession to make him comply. Everyone had assumed that Xie Xuechen hadn’t fully recovered his spiritual power, but in reality, he had already fully regained it.

Episode 12 Recap

Xie Xuechen and Fa Jian were still fighting, and Fa Jian was preparing to detonate his Golden Dan and die with them. Xie Xuechen ordered everyone to stop him, but Mu Xuanling had been controlled by Sang Qi’s demonic power. She grabbed Gao Qiuyun by the neck and lifted her up. Under Sang Qi’s control, Mu Xuanling demanded they hand over the Chaos Pearl, or she would kill Gao Qiuyun.

Mu Xuanling claimed that Fa Jian was connected to the Dark Abyss, and she asked, was Xie Xuechen not also related to the Dark Abyss? She reminded them that she had been brought back by Xie Xuechen. Everyone looked at Xie Xuechen, and he confirmed that it was true. Mu Xuanling then took out a recording stone and urged them to see what had happened ten years ago.

The recording stone showed the scene of Gao Qiuyun’s father being killed, and when they turned their gaze, they saw that Xie Xuechen had killed him. Under Sang Qi’s control, Mu Xuanling continued to explain that after Xie Xuechen killed Gao Fengxu, his father had sent him into seclusion for more than seven years to meditate. She played the recording, and Gao Qiuyun immediately hated Xie Xuechen for killing her father.

Xie Xuechen explained that he had been possessed by the Dark Abyss at the time. Some questioned whether they should trust Xie Xuechen based solely on the words of the Dark Abyss’ Holy Maiden, but Fu Yuanting argued that the recording stone could not lie. As this was happening, the disciples of Yongxue City gathered to protect the formation and resist Fa Jian, all calling out for Mu Xuanling to help them protect the formation.

Mu Xuanling, seeing familiar faces—Elder Cang, her little junior sister, and other disciples—began to regain her clarity. Meanwhile, Sang Qi realized that Mu Xuanling was no longer under his control. Xie Xuechen and Fa Jian rushed into the tower, and Mu Xuanling called out Xie Xuechen's name as she chased after them. With the Dark Abyss’ invasion dealt with, the next issue to address was Mu Xuanling’s status as the Dark Abyss’ Holy Maiden.

Su Ningzhen struck out and was about to kill Mu Xuanling, but Xie Xuechen intervened, stopping her. He argued that Mu Xuanling had not harmed anyone and had not done evil, and thus, her crime did not deserve death. Xie Xuechen suggested they imprison her in an ice cell for now and discuss her fate later. Su Ningzhen was about to argue further, but Xie Xuechen decisively said that the matter was settled, and he left.

As soon as he and Nan Xuyue returned to their room, Xie Xuechen coughed up blood and collapsed to the ground. He told Nan Xuyue not to reveal that he was injured. Xie Xuechen admitted that he feared Sang Qi might take advantage of his weakness, and Nan Xuyue remarked that he was probably more afraid of being unable to protect Mu Xuanling. Xie Xuechen, seemingly struck by the accuracy of Nan Xuyue’s words, remained silent.

Mu Xuanling sat in the ice cell, staring at a small patch of sunlight. She reached out to touch it but was burned. In her heart, she thought that she could not live like a rat in the sewers. She wanted to see the sunlight again. Determined, Mu Xuanling stood and walked toward the sunlight. Just as she stepped into the light, Xie Xuechen appeared and pulled her back.

Mu Xuanling said that her time was short and urged Xie Xuechen to kill her. She believed that only by dying would he be able to stabilize his worries and become the person who could distinguish between good and evil. Xie Xuechen embraced her, assuring her that he would not let her die. Su Ningzhen told Gao Qiuyun that Sang Qi was their enemy and urged her to hate him.

Gao Qiuyun thought Su Ningzhen’s hatred for Sang Qi seemed excessive. Su Ningzhen explained that Gao Qiuyun’s mother had been killed by Sang Qi. Gao Qiuyun was surprised, as Su Ningzhen had previously told her that her mother had died in childbirth. Su Ningzhen admitted it had been a slip of the tongue. Gao Qiuyun went to Mu Xuanling and asked if Sang Qi had killed her mother.

Mu Xuanling explained that Sang Qi had lost an arm at the time and had entered seclusion for three years, so it was unlikely that he had killed Gao Qiuyun’s mother. Mu Xuanling insisted that no matter what Su Ningzhen had told her, Sang Qi could not have killed her mother during that period. Gao Qiuyun then asked why Mu Xuanling harbored such animosity toward her.

Mu Xuanling revealed that she had been the one who died in Gao Qiuyun’s place back then. As they were arguing, Nan Xuyue arrived. When Gao Qiuyun saw him, she left. Nan Xuyue treated Mu Xuanling’s wounds and offered to take her away, but Mu Xuanling refused, saying that the path she had chosen would not change.

Episode 13 Recap

Nan Xuyue asked Mu Xuanling to come with him, offering her a chance to live a normal life. Mu Xuanling replied that if she left, Xie Xuechen would be in trouble. She told Nan Xuyue that once she made a choice, she wouldn't change it. Nan Xuyue remarked that love and affection could turn the wisest into fools and the strongest into the weakest.

Mu Xuanling said that if Nan Xuyue truly wanted to help her, he should ask Fu Lansheng to take A Bao back to Bixiao Palace and help her find her real father. If they couldn’t find him, then at least send A Bao back. Nan Xuyue agreed to her request. After their conversation, Nan Xuyue left. A Bao, crying, told Nan Xuyue that she didn’t want to leave and didn’t want to search for her father anymore.

A Bao asked Nan Xuyue to think of a way to save Mu Xuanling. Nan Xuyue told her that it was Mu Xuanling’s wish to stay where she was, so she should leave with Fu Lansheng. Xie Xuechen was in his room healing when his junior brother came to inform him that the leaders of the Immortal Alliance were waiting for him in the main hall.

His junior brother told him that the others were discussing him, and it would be better if Xie Xuechen went to listen. When Xie Xuechen arrived at the hall, he found that they were accusing him of shielding the Dark Abyss’ Holy Maiden. Xie Xuechen listened quietly, then stepped out. He was followed by He Daomaster, who said to him that he had just saved those people, yet now they were turning on him, which was deeply unfair.

Xie Xuechen replied that it was human nature and he could understand. He Daomaster said that, given the current situation, they still needed to quickly elect a new leader. Xie Xuechen agreed with this idea. He Daomaster suggested that Xie Xuechen was a suitable candidate for the role.

Just as Xie Xuechen was about to refuse, He Daomaster insisted that Xie Xuechen’s powers had been restored, and that in times of crisis, he would be willing to sacrifice his life to protect the people of Yongxue City. He believed that Xie Xuechen would be an excellent leader. Meanwhile, Mu Xuanling wrote letters to Xie Xuechen every day from the ice prison. She made them into paper kites and sent them to him.

In one of her letters, Mu Xuanling mentioned that she had asked Nan Xuyue for some paper and pens and told Xie Xuechen to hurry up and kill her. She had already written a whole box of these paper kites. Xie Xuechen was troubled, torn between the people of the human race and Mu Xuanling, unsure of what to do. The day of Mu Xuanling’s trial arrived, and Nan Xuyue and Fu Lansheng watched from the sidelines.

Fu Lansheng said that Mu Xuanling hadn’t done anything wrong, so why should she be killed? He found it too cruel and decided to leave, but Mu Xuanling arrived just then, weakly sitting on the ground. Xie Xuechen used his power to dispel her demonic energy and announced that she had been purified. He sentenced her to a thousand years of imprisonment in the ice cell.

When Su Ningzhen heard that Xie Xuechen wasn’t going to kill Mu Xuanling, she declared that if Xie Xuechen wouldn’t do it, then she would. Xie Xuechen placed his sword against her neck and calmly told her that this was his decision and that they were still in Yongxue City. With that, he embraced Mu Xuanling and left, telling everyone that Mu Xuanling was now a part of Yongxue City.

As Xie Xuechen and Mu Xuanling walked away, Nan Xuyue watched them, silently wishing that as long as she was alive, everything would be fine. He thought about the formation he had created, which could also protect Mu Xuanling, though it would cause him harm. Xie Xuechen placed Mu Xuanling on a bed and gave her his protective jade, Yu Que.

Mu Xuanling complained that she was cold, and Xie Xuechen embraced her, promising her that she only needed to endure for three more days. After that, he would take her to see the real world. Meanwhile, two palace maids in Jinghua Palace were gossiping about Xie Xuechen and Mu Xuanling. Gao Qiuyun overheard them and scolded them for their words. When Mu Xuanling woke up, she saw Xie Xuechen asleep, leaning on the table.

When she stirred, Xie Xuechen woke up and told her to rest more since her body hadn’t fully recovered yet. Mu Xuanling, in a playful mood, started flirting with him. Xie Xuechen smiled and said that it seemed she was already better. He added that they would head down the mountain tomorrow. Mu Xuanling asked if he was trying to rush her away, to which Xie Xuechen replied that he wanted to take her to see the true world.

Xie Xuechen then went to visit Yinian in the ice prison. Yinian explained that his actions were due to Master Xiu Xian’s orders. He pleaded with Xie Xuechen to spare them and not harm Xuantian Sect.

Episode 14 Recap

Yinian took all the blame upon himself, hoping that Xie Xuechen would spare Xuantian Sect. Xie Xuechen agreed to his request, and Yinian asked if he could meet Xuan Xin before he died. Xie Xuechen brought Xuan Xin to Yinian, and Yinian said his final farewell. He told Xuan Xin that he could only teach him up to this point, and urged him to become the sect leader in the future, to properly manage Xuantian Sect.

Xuan Xin said that he didn’t want Yinian to die, but Yinian told him that everything was his responsibility to bear. He asked Xuan Xin not to blame Xie Xuechen, as Xie Xuechen was only fulfilling his duty. Xuan Xin knelt down before Yinian and bowed his head, offering his final respects. After Xuan Xin left, Yinian ended his own life. Xie Xuechen and Xuan Xin spoke for a while before leaving.

Nan Xuyue came to visit Mu Xuanling, who was enjoying herself alone. He commented that the prisoner was living quite happily. Nan Xuyue then asked her if she truly wasn’t considering leaving with him to return to Yunxiu Mountain Manor. Mu Xuanling replied that Nan Xuyue had already helped her enough, beyond what a normal friend would do. Nan Xuyue said that Mu Xuanling was very special to him and that he had a secret to share with her.

Mu Xuanling promised to keep it a secret, and Nan Xuyue told her that his spiritual channels had been damaged by his own brother. When their father found out, he was furious and prepared to kill his brother, but their mother took all the blame for it and died right in front of him. Nan Xuyue said that at the time, he had been envious because someone had been willing to die for love, for him.

He then reminded Mu Xuanling of the time she said she could share a little bit of her love with him. Mu Xuanling admitted that she had said that without much thought. She asked Nan Xuyue if he liked her, and he replied that he didn’t know. He said he needed to go back to Yunxiu Mountain Manor to figure it out, to be away for a while so he could see things more clearly.

Just then, they both noticed Xie Xuechen approaching. Mu Xuanling quickly stood up, wanting to explain but not knowing how to start. Nan Xuyue turned to Xie Xuechen and suggested they take a walk together. Nan Xuyue asked how much Xie Xuechen had heard, and Xie Xuechen responded that he had heard Nan Xuyue say he liked her. Nan Xuyue asked what expression Xie Xuechen had on his face—whether he was angry or indifferent.

Xie Xuechen asked why Nan Xuyue hadn’t told him sooner. Nan Xuyue explained that he wasn’t even sure how to tell him, and that he was leaving for Yunxiu Mountain Manor in a few days to figure out if he truly liked her. After their conversation, Xie Xuechen returned to find Mu Xuanling waiting for him. Mu Xuanling asked if he was angry and what had happened with Nan Xuyue. Xie Xuechen reassured her that he wasn’t angry.

Mu Xuanling noted that if he wasn’t angry, then why was he acting like this. She then asked if they weren’t going down the mountain today. Xie Xuechen said they would, and they left together. On the lively street, Mu Xuanling noticed a fortune teller and decided to approach. She asked the fortune teller to look into her romantic fate, but when the fortune teller asked for her birth details, Mu Xuanling admitted she didn’t know.

The fortune teller then told her to throw some coins. After reading the results, he told her that she was currently in a complicated relationship with no clear outcome. Mu Xuanling immediately became angry and almost overturned the fortune teller’s stall. Fortunately, Xie Xuechen arrived just in time to stop her. The two then went to a noodle shop where the owner thanked Mu Xuanling for helping his father a few days ago.

As a token of gratitude, he offered them both free noodles. After tasting the noodles, Mu Xuanling told Xie Xuechen that it felt like she had seen the real world. It wasn’t perfect, but it wasn’t bad either. They bought some pastries and headed back. Mu Xuanling told Xie Xuechen that she was going back to the ice prison, but Xie Xuechen told her she didn’t need to. He would arrange a place for her to stay.

Mu Xuanling replied that no matter where she stayed, she only cared about her position in Xie Xuechen’s heart. After saying this, Mu Xuanling left, fully aware that Sang Qi wouldn’t let her go so easily. Beside Su Ningzhen, Chunsheng Sword sensed Sang Qi’s presence. Sure enough, Sang Qi arrived, intending to take Mu Xuanling, but Nan Xuyue blocked his path.

Episode 15 Recap

Mu Xuanling begged Sang Qi not to kill Nan Xuyue and to let her go with him instead. She argued that Nan Xuyue wasn't a member of the Immortal Alliance and posed no threat to him. Sang Qi agreed and spared Nan Xuyue's life. However, just as Nan Xuyue was about to send a warning, Sang Qi noticed him and approached.

He said that he hated people who secretly schemed behind others' backs, and with that, he knocked Nan Xuyue unconscious. As Sang Qi prepared to take Mu Xuanling away, Xie Xuechen arrived, and members of the Immortal Alliance also gathered at the Chaos Pearl's tower. Sang Qi greeted Xie Xuechen, remarking that they met again. Xie Xuechen asked what Sang Qi was doing here so late at night, and Sang Qi replied that he had come to take Mu Xuanling.

Xie Xuechen tried to stop Sang Qi, but Sang Qi extended his demonic claws toward the mortal realm. Xie Xuechen found himself in a dilemma as he watched the world begin to fall under Sang Qi's influence. He told Mu Xuanling to wait for him and then stepped forward to protect the mortal realm. Despite his success in holding back Sang Qi's magic, he was injured in the process.

Xie Xuechen then confronted Sang Qi again, trying to stop him from taking Mu Xuanling. Xie Xuechen declared that Mu Xuanling's demonic powers had been completely dispelled, and that she was now a disciple of Yongxue City. However, Sang Qi paid no attention to this. He claimed that Mu Xuanling had changed sects without his approval.

The two engaged in another battle, and Xie Xuechen was knocked to the ground, but he still rose to stop Sang Qi from taking Mu Xuanling. Xie Xuechen's blood splattered onto Mu Xuanling's face. In that moment, Mu Xuanling drew her sword and stabbed at Xie Xuechen. She told him that Sang Qi's words were true—that her initial approach toward him had never been pure. Sang Qi showed Xie Xuechen the image from the recording stone.

He said that when Mu Xuanling had saved him from the molten abyss, it had been with his consent. That fleeting moment of beauty was unique, something that only existed once in the world. Xie Xuechen stood frozen, and he didn't continue fighting Sang Qi. He could only watch as Sang Qi took Mu Xuanling away.

Lord Xiu Xian arrived at the Chaos Pearl's tower, but the Immortal Alliance members were all defeated by the Law Mirror, which had tried to stop him. Lord Xiu Xian entered the tower and was overjoyed to see the Chaos Pearl. However, when he took it in his hand, he realized that the Chaos Pearl before him was a fake. Furious, he crushed the pearl. As he stepped out, he encountered Xie Xuechen.

Lord Xiu Xian remarked that Xie Xuechen had arrived rather quickly, and Xie Xuechen was about to engage him in battle. Lord Xiu Xian, however, was gravely injured and questioned whether Xie Xuechen was truly ready to fight him. He warned Xie Xuechen that the things he was desperately trying to protect might end up being a joke. After saying this, Lord Xiu Xian left.

Xie Xuechen approached the broken pieces of the fake Chaos Pearl on the ground and recalled Lord Xiu Xian's words. He realized that the Chaos Pearl in front of him was indeed a fake. Mu Xuanling told Sang Qi that she had returned with him, so what else did he want? Sang Qi replied that if she had truly come back to him with sincerity, it would have been good.

But everything she said to Xie Xuechen was just an act. Mu Xuanling told him to kill her if he wanted to, but Sang Qi taunted her, asking if she could truly die after Xie Xuechen had gone through so much to extend her life.

He explained that Xie Xuechen had given her his Yuezhu power, and Mu Xuanling finally understood why her demonic powers had been dispelled but her strength had not diminished—instead, it had increased because she now possessed the Yuezhu power. Sang Qi said that Xie Xuechen was truly good to Mu Xuanling. He tried to take the Yuezhu power from her, but found that he couldn't.

Sang Qi then revealed a potion called "Wuxin" and told Mu Xuanling that if she drank it, she would forget all the emotions tied to Xie Xuechen. Although Mu Xuanling would still remember the events, she would feel no emotions attached to them. Mu Xuanling asked if Sang Qi had ever loved anyone, and he admitted that perhaps he had, but that person had been hurt.

Despite that, Sang Qi still didn’t want to drink the potion, as he didn’t want to forget the warmth of his past. Mu Xuanling’s words struck a chord with Sang Qi, so he forced her to drink the potion. Meanwhile, Nan Xuyue woke up and realized that Mu Xuanling was the woman from his dreams. However, he did nothing to save her. He went to visit Xie Xuechen, and the two of them lamented their failure to save Mu Xuanling. Nan Xuyue, unsure of what love truly was, still couldn’t grasp its meaning.

Episode 16 Recap

Sang Qi looked at the Chunsheng Sword in his hand, lost in memories. Twenty years ago, Su Ningzhen's sister, Su Ningxi, sat with Sang Qi. Sang Qi asked Su Ningxi if she could stay with him and not leave. Su Ningxi replied that she would finish her business and return, and then they could go together to a place where no one knew them.

But suddenly, Su Ningxi severed one of Sang Qi's arms and told him that she had never loved him. How could she fall in love with a spirit race? As he recalled this moment, Sang Qi shed a tear. Mu Xuanling arrived and asked him what could possibly be troubling him so much. Seeing her, Sang Qi lowered the Chunsheng Sword in his hand.

He told Mu Xuanling that her previous magical artifact was useless now and then gave her a new artifact called Duannian (Break Mind). Mu Xuanling expressed that she really liked the new artifact. She asked Sang Qi when Lord Xiu Xian would come to use the Chaos Pearl to open the barrier, as she was eager to take revenge on the Immortal Alliance by killing their members.

Sang Qi replied that the Chaos Pearl was a fake, and the real one was likely hidden somewhere else. Mu Xuanling asked if Lord Xiu Xian might have deliberately concealed this fact. Sang Qi answered that he was not foolish enough to be deceived. Mu Xuanling then said she would go back to the mortal realm to find the real Chaos Pearl for him.

Sang Qi advised her to first strengthen her spiritual power, saying that since Xie Xuechen had given her the Yuezhu power, she shouldn’t let it go to waste. Meanwhile, the members of the Immortal Alliance learned of the loss of the Chaos Pearl. They hoped that Xie Xuechen would become the new Alliance Leader, but Xie Xuechen refused.

Duan Xiaorong from Bixiao Palace suggested that Xie Xuechen should take the position, as he had repeatedly risked his life to protect the human race and the Chaos Pearl. Xie Xuechen agreed to temporarily assume the role but stated that once the real Chaos Pearl was found, they would choose a new leader. Nan Xuyue and Xie Xuechen spoke together, with Nan Xuyue feeling that Xie Xuechen had too many burdens.

Xie Xuechen asked him what his plans were—whether he intended to travel alone or with others. Nan Xuyue replied that he would stay with Xie Xuechen so he wouldn't be too tired. Xie Xuechen informed Nan Xuyue that he had found Gao Qiumin and had told her about the Chaos Pearl. Gao Qiumin had agreed to help him investigate further. Meanwhile, Mu Xuanling was cultivating her spiritual power.

Two members of the Dark Abyss tribe were discussing whether her spiritual power still contained demonic magic. Mu Xuanling grabbed both of them and said that since they were so curious, they could try it themselves. Just then, Yu Ying arrived and killed the two who were speaking. Mu Xuanling remarked that since her return, she hadn’t seen any of them. She asked if it was because her demonic powers had dissipated that they had started avoiding her.

Yu Ying quickly denied it, saying that it was because they were afraid of her, not because of her powers. Mu Xuanling asked what had brought Yu Ying to find her. Yu Ying replied that Sang Qi was looking for her. Mu Xuanling went to see Sang Qi and asked what he wanted. Sang Qi told her to go to the mortal realm, and Mu Xuanling asked if he trusted her. Sang Qi asked why she would ask such a question.

Mu Xuanling explained that after her failure to retrieve the Chaos Pearl last time, she was afraid that Sang Qi no longer trusted her. Sang Qi waved his hand in front of her eyes and simply told her to go. After Mu Xuanling left, Yu Ying asked Sang Qi why he had done that. Sang Qi replied that he had already obtained the Yuezhu power, and that Mu Xuanling would be of great use.

As Mu Xuanling arrived in the mortal realm, a few human beings discovered her, and a struggle broke out. Nan Xuyue came and noticed a dark mark near the corner of Mu Xuanling's eye. When they spoke, Nan Xuyue noticed something odd. Mu Xuanling told him to stand by her side, and she would give him the love he desired. Just then, Xie Xuechen arrived. Upon seeing him, Mu Xuanling quickly turned to leave, but Xie Xuechen chased after her.

At this point, Nan Xuyue had already realized that Mu Xuanling had drunk the "Wuxin" potion. Gao Qiumin had overheard a conversation between Su Ningzhen and Zai Xi. She learned that her mother had once loved Sang Qi, and that her marriage to her father, Gao Fengxu, was to keep the Chaos Pearl alive. Upon realizing someone had eavesdropped, Gao Qiumin stepped out and saw that it was indeed Gao Qiumin herself.

Episode 17 Recap

Gao Qiumin was shocked after hearing Su Ningzhen's secret and prepared to leave. Su Ningzhen walked out of the room and stopped Gao Qiumin, telling her to forget everything she had overheard. Gao Qiumin nodded quickly and left in a hurry. Xie Xuechen, noticing something unusual about Mu Xuanling, went to her room. Mu Xuanling said that she had wanted to sleep since she couldn’t wait for him. Now that he was back, she asked if they would continue their relationship.

Xie Xuechen replied that he had too many responsibilities and couldn’t care for her. He told her that he planned to send her back to Yongxue City. Mu Xuanling insisted on staying with him, but before she could continue, Yu Ying arrived. When Mu Xuanling saw Yu Ying, she thought to herself that perhaps Sang Qi had suddenly changed his plans and wondered why Yu Ying had come.

Yu Ying then brought both Xie Xuechen and Mu Xuanling into the inner demons of their minds. Mu Xuanling was puzzled as to why Yu Ying had dragged her along, but she figured it was a chance to see what Xie Xuechen’s deepest desires were. In the mindscape, Mu Xuanling overheard a conversation between Xie Xuechen and his father.

His father said that he had sent Xie Xuechen to cultivate on the snowy cliffs to solidify his Dao heart, but now he had fallen in love with Mu Xuanling. Xie Xuechen responded that he didn’t see the two things as conflicting. He turned around and saw Mu Xuanling standing behind him. His father then said it was just an illusion and ordered Xie Xuechen to kill her. Xie Xuechen firmly refused.

After his father left, Mu Xuanling approached Xie Xuechen and asked if his obsession with her had drawn her into the mindscape as well. Meanwhile, Yu Ying questioned Sang Qi about why he had also locked Mu Xuanling inside. Sang Qi explained that he wanted Xie Xuechen to realize that Mu Xuanling also had feelings for him. Xie Xuechen, realizing it was all just inner demons, took Mu Xuanling back to the tent.

Once back, Xie Xuechen saw that Mu Xuanling was in great pain from being controlled by Sang Qi’s Lingxi. He and Nan Xuyue worked together to suppress the Lingxi. As Xie Xuechen looked at the dark mark beneath Mu Xuanling’s eye, he asked Nan Xuyue if there was anything else unusual about her. Nan Xuyue shook his head and said there was nothing else. When Mu Xuanling woke up, she saw Nan Xuyue alone in the room.

She asked him why he had come alone, knowing that Xie Xuechen liked her. She then tried to persuade Nan Xuyue to stand by her side. Mu Xuanling complimented Nan Xuyue, saying he was much smarter than Xie Xuechen because he could see through her. She offered to give Nan Xuyue the love he desired. Nan Xuyue didn’t respond but seemed to agree with her words.

As he prepared to leave, he told her that she wasn’t fully recovered yet and assured her that Xie Xuechen would take good care of her. Meanwhile, Gao Qiumin discovered some clues and went to share them with Xie Xuechen. Gao Qiumin found Xie Xuechen and told him about what she had overheard from Su Ningzhen. She revealed that the Chaos Pearl’s location might be connected to Master Miaohua.

Gao Qiumin explained that the Master Miaohua she had seen was completely different from what Su Ningzhen had described. Gao Qiumin had seen Miaohua tied up in chains. Miaohua told her that it was all Su Ningzhen’s doing and that the Chaos Pearl hadn’t been hidden by anyone; they simply didn’t know where it was. Meanwhile, Fu Lansheng had been poring over the clan genealogy to find A Bao’s father, but there was no record of him.

Left with no choice, he approached his father, Fu Yuanting, to borrow blood for a sacrificial ritual. Initially, Fu Yuanting refused, but when he heard Fu Lansheng mention that A Bao’s father was named Fu Cangli, Duan Xiaorong convinced Fu Yuanting to allow the ritual. She believed that since they had been searching for so long without success, this might be their only chance, as the blood ritual required blood from close relatives.

A Bao dripped her blood into the ritual, and they saw an image of A Bao’s father following Mu Xuanling’s group. Mu Xuanling’s group was heading to Mingyue Manor to search for clues, and A Bao and Fu Lansheng followed them there. On the other side, Su Ningzhen, fearing that Gao Qiumin had uncovered the truth, discussed with Zai Xi how they should destroy Su Ningxi’s room. However, Xie Xuechen and his group had already arrived at the location and discovered a hidden passage.

Episode 18 Recap

Xie Xuechen, Mu Xuanling, and Gao Qiumin discovered a secret space beneath Su Ningxi’s room. Gao Qiumin was astonished, saying she had no idea such a place existed under her mother’s room. Mu Xuanling speculated that Gao Fengxu had hidden this from her daughter as well. In the secret chamber, they found a bed with a hidden mechanism. Gao Qiumin and the others guessed that Su Ningxi might have been lying on this bed to nourish the Chaos Pearl.

However, Xie Xuechen suggested the truth might be even crueler—Su Ningxi might already be dead, and Gao Qiumin could have been using her mother’s corpse to warm the Chaos Pearl every time she came here. As they searched for clues in the chamber, they were completely unaware that people from the Mirror Flower Palace had arrived outside. The Mirror Flower Palace members intended to take A Bao and destroy Mingyue Manor.

A Bao was dragged into the forest, but her father suddenly appeared and killed the intruders from the Mirror Flower Palace. A Bao pleaded for him to reveal himself, but there was no response. In the Decaying Immortal Pavilion, the Pavilion Master and Nan Xuyue sat together. It turned out the two had known each other for a long time, and many previous events had been orchestrated by Nan Xuyue.

Meanwhile, Mu Xuanling and the others sensed that the secret chamber was beginning to collapse. As they hurried to escape, Mu Xuanling pushed Xie Xuechen, attempting to trap him inside. However, Xie Xuechen quickly caught up. Mu Xuanling declared that she had obtained clues about the Chaos Pearl and intended to report back to Sang Qi. Xie Xuechen refused to let her leave.

Mu Xuanling proposed that Xie Xuechen join her in the Dark Abyss, claiming that with his strength, he could defeat Sang Qi and become the new Lord. However, Xie Xuechen replied that he knew Mu Xuanling didn’t want to live such a life. Mu Xuanling dismissed his words, pushed him aside, and prepared to leave. Xie Xuechen drew his sword and injured her. A Bao arrived and touched Mu Xuanling’s wound, getting her blood on her hands.

She then transferred the blood to the blood sacrifice, which immediately revealed the vision Gao Qiumin had seen. Fu Lansheng explained that only blood from close relatives could activate the blood sacrifice. He then revealed that Mu Xuanling and Gao Qiumin were sisters. Both women simultaneously denied wanting to acknowledge the relationship. To verify further, they went inside and tested again. When Mu Xuanling’s blood was applied, it showed what Gao Qiumin had seen.

When Gao Qiumin’s blood was applied, it showed what Mu Xuanling had seen. Suspicious, they wondered if Fu Lansheng’s blood sacrifice had malfunctioned. Fu Lansheng defended his ritual, stating that while they could doubt him, they couldn’t question the reliability of his family’s artifacts. To prove it, he applied his own blood, revealing a vision of Fu Yuanting. At this point, they believed the blood sacrifice was authentic.

Xie Xuechen suggested they needed to go to the Mirror Flower Palace to question Su Ningzhen for more answers. Meanwhile, Su Ningzhen ordered Zai Xi to find Gao Qiumin, stating that even if she was in the Dark Abyss, they must bring her back. Just then, Gao Qiumin returned with Mu Xuanling and the others. Xie Xuechen confronted Su Ningzhen, asking how many children Su Ningxi had. Su Ningzhen became furious, accusing him of insulting her sister’s honor.

Xie Xuechen explained that they had discovered a blood relation between Gao Qiumin and Mu Xuanling. Gao Qiumin recalled seeing a flash of light during her sister’s childbirth but admitted she hadn’t seen clearly. Su Ningzhen asked them to rest for the night, promising they would learn the truth the next day. Outside, Xie Xuechen reassured Mu Xuanling not to worry, saying everything would be clear tomorrow. Mu Xuanling dismissed his words, claiming she didn’t care.

However, Xie Xuechen saw through her facade and knew she deeply cared about whether she had any family, even if she refused to admit it. Elsewhere, Gao Qiumin noticed Su Ningzhen searching for something. She asked what Su Ningzhen was looking for and offered to help. Su Ningzhen asked if Gao Qiumin had seen Mu Xuanling at Mingyue Manor and mentioned a pattern on her forehead.

Su Ningzhen instructed Gao Qiumin to draw the pattern, and when she saw it, Su Ningzhen realized that the flash of light from that day was related to it. Gao Qiumin sat alone, lost in thought. Fu Lansheng approached her with some pastries to comfort her.

Episode 19 Recap

Gao Qiumin was deeply saddened and told Fu Lansheng that she had always believed her father, Gao Fengxu, deeply loved her mother. However, she never expected things to turn out like this. Gao Qiumin admitted that she suspected Su Ningzhen had a significant secret and worried that if she and Mu Xuanling were truly blood relatives, she wouldn’t know how to face her. Fu Lansheng comforted her, saying that those who truly loved her would never leave her.

Gao Qiumin, surprised, remarked that Fu Lansheng was unexpectedly good at offering comfort. Fu Lansheng replied that they were friends. Gao Qiumin then shared that three people had told her they were her friends before. The first was Cui Wanwan, who turned out to be from the Decaying Immortal Pavilion and was ultimately killed by Su Ningzhen. The second was Mu Xuanling, who had also claimed to be her friend.

Fu Lansheng reassured her that he was her true friend, and the two sealed their bond with a handshake. Later, Su Ningzhen arranged a meeting with Gao Qiumin, Xie Xuechen, and Mu Xuanling at Xingchen Valley. She pointed to a flower nearby, explaining that it was called "Reunion Joy" and would turn black only when the blood of two relatives was dripped onto it.

She promised to reveal the truth on the condition that they agreed not to disclose it to anyone. Otherwise, she would remain silent. Mu Xuanling immediately agreed, but just as she stepped forward, Xie Xuechen pulled her back. He refused, stating that the flower Su Ningzhen mentioned was not "Reunion Joy" but "Autumn's Malice. " Although they looked identical, their spiritual essence was different.

Xie Xuechen explained that if blood was dripped onto "Autumn's Malice," it would bind the person to the flower in a lifelong servitude contract. Seeing her scheme exposed, Su Ningzhen dragged Gao Qiumin aside and began setting up an array, intending to kill Xie Xuechen and Mu Xuanling. Xie Xuechen warned her that if anything happened to him in the Mirror Flower Palace, she would also be implicated.

Gao Qiumin joined in, persuading Su Ningzhen that the Immortal Alliance would never let her off if Xie Xuechen were harmed. Su Ningzhen coldly retorted that no one needed to know and activated the array. Even the townsfolk outside could sense the disturbance. Meanwhile, Fu Lansheng noticed the commotion and realized that Su Ningzhen was attacking them. A Bao asked what they should do. Fu Lansheng explained that the array required direct sunlight to work and wouldn’t function without it.

He told A Bao to stay put while he went to rescue them. Back at the scene, Su Ningzhen’s spell continued to press against Xie Xuechen and Mu Xuanling, but suddenly, a massive shadow appeared in the sky, disrupting the array. Sang Qi appeared, demanding to know where Su Ningxi was. Su Ningzhen replied that Su Ningxi was already dead.

Sang Qi, furious, questioned her right to die and demanded to know where her body was, declaring that even in death, he would grind her bones to dust. Sang Qi, seething with anger, remarked that even after 20 years, he still despised the people of the Mirror Flower Palace. With that, he struck down Zai Xi and others with ease. Su Ningzhen, unable to resist, was gravely injured and spat blood.

Sang Qi then knocked Gao Qiumin to the ground, mocking Su Ningzhen for her supposed fondness for Gao Qiumin and threatening to kill her. Su Ningzhen cried out that Gao Qiumin was Su Ningxi’s child, but Sang Qi dismissed her, saying that Su Ningxi had betrayed him. Su Ningzhen clarified that Su Ningxi had never betrayed him and revealed that it was their master, Venerable Miaohua, who had disguised her as Su Ningxi to assassinate Sang Qi.

However, she failed and only managed to cut off one of his arms. Sang Qi, unfazed, argued that Gao Qiumin was still Su Ningxi and Gao Fengxu’s child. Su Ningzhen then revealed the shocking truth—Su Ningxi had already died before her marriage. She explained that Su Ningxi had the Yin-Yuan Mystic Physique, and even in death, Gao Fengxu didn’t spare her. He dripped his blood, infused with the Chaos Pearl, into her body to nourish it.

Ten months later, Su Ningxi’s body gave birth to a baby girl. Su Ningzhen declared that Mu Xuanling was the Chaos Pearl incarnate because the patterns on her face matched the Chaos Pearl’s markings. She urged Sang Qi to kill Mu Xuanling, claiming it would save Su Ningxi. Sang Qi, believing her, prepared to strike Mu Xuanling. Xie Xuechen stepped in to block him. At that moment, Nan Xuyue arrived just in time, taking Mu Xuanling away. Xie Xuechen and Sang Qi began a fierce battle.

Episode 20 Recap

Xie Xuechen looked at the sword in his hand and asked Sang Qi if he knew why it was called “Jun Tian. ” While speaking, Xie Xuechen began to absorb the spiritual energy of plants and flowers around him into the sword. He then said it should truly be called “Wan Wu Sheng” (All Things Born) before thrusting the sword at Sang Qi, causing him to fall to the ground.

Sang Qi, however, stood back up and turned toward Gao Qiumin and Su Ningzhen. Gao Qiumin, frightened, picked up the sword in front of her. Sang Qi questioned Su Ningzhen about Su Ningxi's whereabouts. Su Ningzhen replied that in the end, the two of them loved Su Ningxi the most and that Sang Qi was more qualified than she was to meet Su Ningxi. Su Ningzhen pointed to an unmarked gravestone in the distance and said Su Ningxi was there.

She handed her sword to Gao Qiumin, who tearfully begged her not to leave. Su Ningzhen explained that her spiritual energy was completely gone and urged Gao Qiumin to take care of herself. As she spoke, she seemed to see Su Ningxi and said she was going to find her sister. Sang Qi approached the gravestone and, as expected, found Su Ningxi there. Beside her corpse lay his severed arm.

Tears streamed down his face as he declared that he would now take Su Ningxi home. Meanwhile, Xie Xuechen sat beside the unconscious Mu Xuanling and asked Nan Xuyue what else, besides Lingxi, was inside her body. Nan Xuyue replied, “Wu Xin” water. Xie Xuechen asked if that was the secret Nan Xuyue had been hiding. Nan Xuyue explained how he knew Mu Xuanling didn’t want to forget Xie Xuechen, describing how much harm she had endured for him.

Xie Xuechen hesitated, and Nan Xuyue continued, saying that Mu Xuanling remembered only their shared memories but had forgotten the moment she drank the “Wu Xin” water. He suspected her memories had been altered. Nan Xuyue noted that when Mu Xuanling no longer felt heart-wrenching pain, it meant she loved Xie Xuechen.

Xie Xuechen remarked that Nan Xuyue must know the antidote, to which Nan Xuyue replied that it could be found on Mount Luo Wu, where the Longevity Lotus and Wu Xin Grass grew, plants that were mutually exclusive yet connected. Xie Xuechen acknowledged that Nan Xuyue liked Mu Xuanling but vowed not to give him the chance, promising to protect her himself. He commented that he realized he didn’t truly understand Nan Xuyue.

Nan Xuyue replied that ten years had passed—people change. When Mu Xuanling woke up, Nan Xuyue gave her a jade token, telling her it could shield her from danger. While they were talking, Xie Xuechen arrived, pulled Mu Xuanling away, and announced they were going to Mount Luo Wu. Gao Qiumin returned to the Mirror Flower Palace and sat in Su Ningzhen’s former seat. Immediately, dissent arose from the crowd, claiming Gao Qiumin was unfit for the position.

Gao Qiumin remained silent. Fu Lansheng arrived just in time to overhear this and defended her. Gao Qiumin told him there was no need, then led Fu Lansheng away. Fu Lansheng comforted her and invited her to Bi Xiao Palace. Xie Xuechen also invited Gao Qiumin to Yong Xue City, but Gao Qiumin declined. Xie Xuechen revealed that only a few of them knew Mu Xuanling was the Chaos Pearl.

He had thought Gao Qiumin might reveal the secret, but she hadn’t. Gao Qiumin replied that she would eventually reveal it, as it was Mu Xuanling’s weakness. Xie Xuechen laughed, saying that the more stubborn someone was outwardly, the softer their heart. Xie Xuechen brought Mu Xuanling to a place filled with the Ling Clan. While the two were eating, Mu Xuanling stared intently at a muscular man at a nearby table.

Xie Xuechen told her to stop looking, but when she kept arguing, he used his spiritual power to silence her. Later, they arrived at an inn where the innkeeper, a snake spirit, took an interest in Xie Xuechen and tried to block their way. Xie Xuechen released the spell on Mu Xuanling, telling her to handle the snake spirit or he’d silence her again.

They successfully made it to their room, where Xie Xuechen told Mu Xuanling to take the bed while he meditated. Fu Lansheng brought Gao Qiumin back to Bi Xiao Palace, where Duan Xiaorong urged Fu Lansheng to review the financial records, promising to arrange a guest room for Gao Qiumin. After they left, Fu Yuanting asked Duan Xiaorong why she treated Gao Qiumin coldly if she wanted her to become their daughter-in-law.

Duan Xiaorong replied that it’s customary for a mother-in-law to assert her authority during the first meeting. While reviewing the records, Fu Lansheng couldn’t stop thinking about Gao Qiumin and quickly went to find her.

Episode 21 Recap

Fu Yuanting met A Bao and asked her how her search for her father was going using the Blood Sacrifice Fu Lansheng borrowed to help her. A Bao said her father had saved her but refused to come out and meet him. She asked Fu Yuanting if her father didn’t want her anymore. Fu Yuanting comforted her, assuring her that wasn’t the case.

He explained that her father must have something important to do and would come to find her once it was done. A Bao said her mother had told her the same thing and believed they would reunite. Fu Yuanting agreed, saying they would surely reunite. Fu Lansheng took Gao Qiumin to a large tree and told her it was his “Tree of Worries.

” Gao Qiumin noticed many red cloth strips tied to the branches and asked Fu Lansheng if he had so many worries. Fu Lansheng explained that he tied the cloth strips out of happiness. Gao Qiumin, puzzled, asked why he called it the Tree of Worries then. Fu Lansheng said that whenever he felt upset, he would come here, think of happy moments, and feel better.

He handed her some red cloth strips and encouraged her to tie her troubles to the tree, announcing that from now on, the tree’s purpose would change. Not only would it hold his happy memories, but also Gao Qiumin’s worries. Gao Qiumin smiled and joyfully threw a strip onto the tree. Fu Lansheng told her to make a wish, promising not to listen as he stepped aside.

Gao Qiumin wished that, from now on, she could live for herself and do what she truly wanted. She was deeply moved by everything Fu Lansheng had done for her, saying how lucky she was to have him. Meanwhile, Xie Xuechen and Mu Xuanling arrived at Qi Feng Forest. Shortly after entering, they encountered a dense fog. In the mist, Xie Xuechen saw two Mu Xuanlings, both speaking in identical tones.

Mu Xuanling took out the weapon Sang Qi had given her, only for the fake Mu Xuanling to produce an identical one. Xie Xuechen examined both weapons and found them indistinguishable. When Mu Xuanling angrily prepared to leave, Xie Xuechen immediately recognized the real her. After breaking the illusionary formation, they continued forward, but Xie Xuechen noticed peach blossom marks appearing on Mu Xuanling’s body. It turned out that Mu Xuanling had been poisoned.

When she regained consciousness, Xie Xuechen informed her that he had already given her the antidote, but it would cause temporary blindness. Just as he said, Mu Xuanling couldn’t see. Xie Xuechen explained that once the peach blossom marks disappeared from her body, the poison would be fully cured. However, he added that the scent released by the dissipating blossoms was soothing and intoxicating, capable of clouding one’s mind. Both of them were enveloped in the strong peach blossom fragrance.

Xie Xuechen lost himself for a moment and kissed Mu Xuanling. Mu Xuanling didn’t resist, but when Xie Xuechen regained clarity, he quickly stopped, saying he wouldn’t take advantage of her. He promised to wait until she could see again before doing such things and went to stand guard at the cave entrance.

The next morning, Mu Xuanling woke up and remembered Xie Xuechen’s words about the numerous peach blossom marks on her neck, two of which she had unknowingly placed there herself. Embarrassed, she quickly covered her neck. Xie Xuechen noticed she was awake and came over. They saw a large concentration of spiritual energy ahead and discovered the Longevity Lotus there.

Just as Xie Xuechen was about to approach, Feng Xiang Zunzhe appeared and blocked his way, saying she had been waiting for him. Xie Xuechen explained that he didn’t want the Longevity Lotus flower or its roots, only its seeds. He said his friend had been poisoned by “Wu Xin” water, and the seeds were needed for the antidote. Feng Xiang didn’t believe anyone would travel so far unless they were seeking immortality. The two began to fight.

When Feng Xiang saw Xie Xuechen’s sword, Jun Tian, she asked how it had recognized him as its master. Mu Xuanling explained that Xie Xuechen was the leader of the Immortal Alliance. Feng Xiang didn’t believe her, stating that the Immortal Alliance leader was Lord Qian Guang from six thousand years ago. Both were confused and decided to investigate further the next day. Meanwhile, Nan Xuyue and Feng Yao also arrived at Qi Feng Forest because Nan Xuyue was worried about Mu Xuanling.

Episode 22 Recap

Mu Xuanling didn’t sleep and just lay there. Xie Xuechen asked her why she wasn’t sleeping and if she was worried about him. Mu Xuanling denied it, saying, “How could that be possible? ” Xie Xuechen told her that he would go and check on the Longevity Lotus again tomorrow and suggested she stay behind, fearing it might be dangerous. He added that if he were to die, the connection they shared through the “Thread of Fate” would automatically dissolve.

Mu Xuanling responded, “You should have just said that from the start. ”The next day, the two returned to where the Longevity Lotus grew and encountered Feng Xiang Zunzhe again. However, Feng Xiang did not seem to remember them and repeated the same words from the previous day. Xie Xuechen speculated that Feng Xiang might have no memory of past events. The two briefly spoke with Feng Xiang and told her they only wanted the lotus seeds.

Feng Xiang ordered them to leave immediately. Hiding behind a tree, they observed her in secret. When Mu Xuanling accidentally made a noise, Xie Xuechen quickly pulled her closer, afraid that Feng Xiang would hear them. But when they turned back to look, Feng Xiang had disappeared. Xie Xuechen reasoned that if she were still nearby, traces of spiritual energy would remain, but none could be found. They guessed that Feng Xiang had left and decided to search for her.

Eventually, they saw Feng Xiang lying on a large rock. The two speculated that if she had eaten the lotus seeds, the lotus heart must still be nearby. As they prepared to approach, a blue light began emanating from around Feng Xiang. From the light emerged Qian Guangjun. Startled, Mu Xuanling asked, “Is this a person or a ghost? ” Xie Xuechen immediately recognized Qian Guangjun. Qian Guangjun asked how Xie Xuechen had identified him.

Xie Xuechen explained that historical records described Qian Guangjun and Feng Xiang Zunzhe as cultivating their dharma forms together, referring to them as “Dao Companions. ” Xie Xuechen admitted that seeing Feng Xiang had raised his suspicions, but he hadn’t expected to truly meet Qian Guangjun. Qian Guangjun remarked that six thousand years had passed. “If not for your reminder,” he said, “I wouldn’t even know what year it is now.

” Xie Xuechen asked if Feng Xiang Zunzhe had eaten the Longevity Lotus and become trapped in a cycle. Qian Guangjun confirmed his guess. He explained that Feng Xiang would awaken here every sunrise and forget everything by sunset. Mu Xuanling commented, “So, she has lived for six thousand years, but to her, it has only been one day. ” Qian Guangjun replied, “This is the immortality that everyone desires, but achieving it comes at a great cost.

” He told them about someone who once pursued immortality through dark arts. Feng Xiang, however, didn’t gain immortality immediately after consuming the Longevity Lotus. Instead, she first entered a forbidden domain of magic. Qian Guangjun explained that a cultivator whose dharma form is sealed must endure 38,000 opposing gales and climb a treacherous path to its end. Only after countless hardships can they meet Lun Jing Shangshen (the High God of the Wheel Mirror).

Being from the Divine Clan, Qian Guangjun said the High God claimed to be waiting for someone, perhaps not even a person. Mu Xuanling questioned the existence of the Divine Clan, saying she had heard that they were suppressed beneath the molten abyss, from which the Dark Clan was born. She added that the Divine Clan, disgusted with humanity, abandoned their role as protectors, making their presence a mystery.

Qian Guangjun replied that he had met Lun Jing Shangshen, whose immense power could only belong to a member of the Divine Clan. Qian Guangjun and Feng Xiang were once fond of each other but never confessed their feelings, leading to regretful separation. After losing track of Feng Xiang, Qian Guangjun searched for her for a long time and finally found her here. But by then, she had already become what she is now.

To stay by her side, Qian Guangjun also consumed the Longevity Lotus, reaching Lun Jing Shangshen. There, he expressed his wish to accompany Feng Xiang every day. As a result, Qian Guangjun became Feng Xiang’s shadow, able to appear only at night. Xie Xuechen asked Qian Guangjun for a lotus seed, explaining that he wanted to save someone who suffered constant pain from consuming Wu Xin water. Qian Guangjun gave him a lotus seed, and Mu Xuanling consumed it.

Upon doing so, she recovered all her memories of being with Xie Xuechen. The two embraced, crying with joy. At that moment, Nan Xuyue arrived, but Mu Xuanling clearly began avoiding him.

Episode 23 Recap

Xie Xuechen was preparing to take Mu Xuanling back to Yongxue City. Mu Xuanling asked how he planned to introduce her, suggesting they could just tell everyone she was the Chaos Pearl. Xie Xuechen refused, warning that if they found out, they would all come after her with swords drawn. As the two were chatting intimately, Nan Xuyue appeared in the distance. He watched them with a displeased expression.

Feng Yao teased him, saying, “If it makes you unhappy, why did you come? ” Nan Xuyue denied feeling upset and stated, “The outcome is already decided; no one can change it. It’s the same with Qian Guang and Feng Xiang, and now it’s the same with Mu Xuanling and Xie Xuechen. ”When Xie Xuechen brought Mu Xuanling to the gates of Yongxue City, Elder Cang came out to greet them, delighted to see Xie Xuechen.

But his expression changed when he noticed Mu Xuanling hiding behind Xie Xuechen. Elder Cang asked why Xie Xuechen had brought her back again. Without responding, Xie Xuechen turned to look at Mu Xuanling with a smile. Mu Xuanling spoke up, saying that Xie Xuechen had brought her back to atone for his sins. But instead of agreeing, Xie Xuechen took her hand, leaving Elder Cang wide-eyed with shock.

Xie Xuechen explained that Mu Xuanling had not been captured—he had brought her back to go home with him. Under the astonished gazes of everyone around, Xie Xuechen and Mu Xuanling walked away together. Mu Xuanling sat on her bed and remarked how much more comfortable it was compared to the ship’s cabin where she had been sleeping. She noticed her belongings neatly placed on the bed and picked up her diary, wondering if Xie Xuechen had read it.

Just then, Nan Xuyue entered the room. He asked why she wasn’t listening to Xie Xuechen and Elder Cang’s discussion about the Chaos Pearl. Mu Xuanling replied that she wasn’t interested, to which Nan Xuyue said he wasn’t either, adding that they might as well “huddle together for warmth. ”Mu Xuanling recalled how she had once urged Nan Xuyue to take her side, and she explained that it was only because she had been poisoned at the time.

Nan Xuyue said he understood. Mu Xuanling handed back the jade token he had given her. Then she asked Nan Xuyue how he truly felt about Xie Xuechen, asking if he cared about him at all. Nan Xuyue remained silent. Mu Xuanling declared that Xie Xuechen was her bottom line and warned that if Nan Xuyue ever harmed him, she would not let it go. Nan Xuyue replied that if such a day ever came, she could kill him herself.

Later, Mu Xuanling decided to listen in on Xie Xuechen’s conversation with Elder Cang. She overheard Xie Xuechen defending her and firmly expressing his belief in her. Feeling delighted, she whispered to herself that eavesdropping was worth it. When Xie Xuechen returned to his room, he found it filled with plants and flowers. He immediately realized it was Mu Xuanling’s doing. She explained that she had originally created them before being controlled by Sang Qi.

Xie Xuechen hugged her tightly and admitted that he hadn’t realized how much she had endured, promising it would never happen again. Mu Xuanling warned him to prepare himself, as his room would occasionally end up with random things in it. Xie Xuechen told her that his room was hers to manage. Mu Xuanling then grabbed his collar and asked, “What about the person in the room? ” Xie Xuechen replied that he still had work to do.

Meanwhile, Nan Xuyue had another dream about Mu Xuanling, leaving him agitated. He sought out the former master of the Decayed Pavilion to discuss collaborating on opening the Heavenly Ladder. He believed the scenes in his dream might be related to the Celestial Realm. While Xie Xuechen was working, he suddenly heard a voice calling out to him and collapsed. Mu Xuanling quickly summoned Nan Xuyue to examine him.

After checking his pulse, Nan Xuyue told her that everything seemed normal. Just as he spoke, Xie Xuechen woke up, saying he had heard someone calling him repeatedly. Nan Xuyue speculated that it might be a divine or demonic entity invading his body. Meanwhile, the former master of the Decayed Pavilion prepared to open the gates to the Myriad Immortal Realm, planning to destroy the human race and find the Chaos Pearl.

Xie Xuechen attempted to stop him but heard the mysterious voice again. The former master then sought out Sang Qi, hoping to collaborate with him.

Episode 24 Recap

Mu Xuanling was worried about Xie Xuechen going alone to repair the barrier, so she asked Nan Xuyue for help. Nan Xuyue told her to follow his gestures, and she could teleport. Mu Xuanling smiled and thanked him. Meanwhile, Xie Xuechen was battling the Decayed Pavilion’s master. The master broke free and headed to the Dark Abyss to find Sang Qi, hoping he could help and reveal the whereabouts of the Chaos Pearl.

However, Sang Qi was no longer interested in these matters; all he wanted now was to stay with Su Ningxi. The Decayed Pavilion master mentioned that five people had survived the Starfall Valley incident, and the others must also know where the Chaos Pearl was. When Sang Qi refused to cooperate, the Decayed Pavilion master decided to question the others.

Elsewhere, Nan Xuyue was painting when Feng Yao asked why he still had the mood to paint, considering the Myriad Immortal Array’s barrier was broken. Nan Xuyue replied that he had his own plans. Xie Xuechen, on his way to the barrier at the Myriad Immortal Realm, ran into Mu Xuanling, who had hurried to join him. They reached the barrier together but realized their combined strength wasn’t enough.

Mu Xuanling suggested he stay there and try while she sought Sang Qi for a solution. Xie Xuechen was worried about the danger but Mu Xuanling reassured him, saying she believed Sang Qi wouldn’t harm her. Mu Xuanling confronted Sang Qi and explained that the Dark Abyss clans were attempting to break free of the Myriad Immortal Realm and enter the human world. She asked him to come up with a solution.

Sang Qi replied that the clans only respected strength and that Mu Xuanling should understand this after spending so much time in the Dark Abyss. Sang Qi asked if she wasn’t afraid he might hurt her. Mu Xuanling responded that Sang Qi was the only one who had ever made her feel a sense of family, and she believed he felt the same about her. She trusted that he would never harm her.

Sang Qi was deeply moved by her words and hugged her, saying how happy it made him to hear that. Then, he gave Mu Xuanling his inner core. Sang Qi explained that his life had been full of hardships, and he had made many mistakes that he couldn’t undo. By giving his inner core to Mu Xuanling, he hoped she could still have a choice.

He reminisced about the first time he met her, thinking how much she reminded him of himself. In his heart, he thought that if he and Su Ningxi had a child, that child would look just like Mu Xuanling. In fact, it was Sang Qi who had given her the name Mu Xuanling. After Sang Qi’s inner core entered Mu Xuanling’s body, she fainted. Sang Qi then brought Su Ningxi to the place they had once planned to leave together.

There, he recalled how Su Ningxi had saved him when he was injured. Su Ningxi had praised him for his gentleness, and it was the first time he felt kindness from a human. However, his hatred had led him to make many mistakes over the years. Now, seeing Su Ningxi again, he decided to let go of everything. Holding her in his arms, Sang Qi left with her.

When Mu Xuanling woke up, she thought of Sang Qi but reminded herself that it wasn’t the time for sorrow—there was still work to do. She arrived at the Void Sea, where Xie Xuechen also appeared. Both of them, thinking alike, planned to freeze the Void Sea to prevent the Dark Abyss clans from escaping. Meanwhile, Zhan Ying of the Dark Abyss sensed the barrier breaking and prepared to lead an escape.

Elsewhere, Jiang Li, also known as A Bao’s father Fu Cangli, went to Bixiao Palace. He released all the imprisoned spirit clans and instructed them to work with the outside clans to destroy Bixiao Palace. Duan Xiaorong and Fu Yuanting were both injured in the chaos. Fortunately, Fu Lansheng arrived in time to take them to the dungeon. However, Jiang Li chased after them, accusing Fu Yuanting of killing his father to seize power.

Duan Xiaorong revealed the truth: Jiang Li’s father had tried to kill Fu Yuanting but was stopped and killed by Jiang Li’s grandfather. She added that Fu Yuanting had forbidden her from speaking about it. At this moment, A Bao appeared. Jiang Li urged her to come to him, but she said he wasn’t her father—her father would never be such a bad person.

Using Sang Qi’s inner core, Mu Xuanling and Xie Xuechen successfully froze the Void Sea, potentially halting the Dark Abyss clans’ escape. Just as they were about to leave, they heard the mysterious voice again.

Episode 25 Recap

Zhao Ming looked at Mu Xuanling’s face and said that after nurturing her for so long, it seemed she had forgotten him. Zhao Ming remembered that Mu Xuanling’s previous incarnation was a Chaos Pearl named A Zhu. Zhao Ming asked A Zhu why she was there. The man beside A Zhu spoke up, declaring that the human emperor Zhao Ming was full of sins, and they were here under heaven’s mandate to suppress him beneath the Molten Abyss.

Zhao Ming asked why A Zhu, who was supposed to be at home, had appeared there. A Zhu replied that as the ancient divine artifact, the Chaos Pearl, which maintained the balance of time and space, it was impossible for her to be hidden and nurtured in his home. A Zhu said that a thousand years was nothing more than a fleeting moment for her and accused Zhao Ming of killing gods to satisfy his selfish desires.

A Zhu declared she could no longer tolerate him and struck Zhao Ming down, imprisoning him beneath the Molten Abyss. Zhao Ming, trapped there, looked at Mu Xuanling’s face again, thinking that despite all this time, the face before him seemed increasingly innocent. He pondered how to exact his revenge on her and then pushed Mu Xuanling to the ground. Zhao Ming stated that he would reclaim everything from her through the blood formation.

He mocked her, saying that the once-supreme Chaos Goddess couldn’t even resist a small blood formation now. He urged her to beg for mercy. However, Mu Xuanling firmly replied that she was herself, not the Chaos Goddess he spoke of. Mu Xuanling told Zhao Ming that she had not experienced anything he claimed and that she would never beg for his mercy. Zhao Ming sneered, asking what Xie Xuechen would think if he saw her in this state.

Mu Xuanling said Zhao Ming should target her alone if he had a grudge. Zhao Ming teased her, noting how she cared for Xie Xuechen. At that moment, Xie Xuechen arrived and helped Mu Xuanling to her feet, intending to take her away. Zhao Ming laughed and revealed that Xie Xuechen was merely a fragment of himself. Xie Xuechen then took out Juntian. Zhao Ming commented on how Juntian had changed and summoned it.

Juntian instantly transformed into a different form. Xie Xuechen and Mu Xuanling froze in surprise before Mu Xuanling quickly realized they were still trapped in Zhao Ming’s illusion. Xie Xuechen took her and left. Zhao Ming watched them go, saying they would meet again. Once outside, Xie Xuechen and Mu Xuanling saw that Xuan Xin and the others were gathered outside the Dark Abyss.

Xie Xuechen asked about the situation, and Fa Jian informed him that Bixiao Palace had suffered heavy casualties. Xie Xuechen and Mu Xuanling went to Bixiao Palace, where Xie Xuechen used his power to awaken Fu Yuanting and Duan Xiaorong. He told Fu Lansheng to cherish the remaining time with his parents. Mu Xuanling asked Xie Xuechen about their condition, and he said they were merely experiencing a fleeting revival of energy but had already depleted their powers.

Fu Lansheng, devastated, held his parents’ hands. Fu Yuanting and Duan Xiaorong reassured him, asking him to live well on his own as they could no longer accompany him. Through tears, Fu Lansheng clung to them, but Duan Xiaorong urged him to leave, saying that she and Fu Yuanting wanted to leave with dignity, just as they had lived their lives. Fu Lansheng left, and Fu Yuanting remarked to Duan Xiaorong how unpleasant it was to wait for death.

He suggested they do something meaningful. Fu Yuanting had Duan Xiaorong sit at her dressing table, where he combed her hair. As they chatted, they passed away peacefully. Fu Yuanting placed Duan Xiaorong on the bed and lay beside her, following her into death. Xie Xuechen later met Jiang Li, also known as Fu Cangli, and asked why he was so loyal to He Xianwo.

Fu Cangli replied that He Xianwo had promised to create a harmonious world for humans and spirit clans. He admitted he would do anything for A Bao and his wife Xiuxiu. At that moment, A Bao appeared, accusing Fu Cangli of being selfish rather than acting for her. She said she enjoyed being with Mu Xuanling and the others, and now, because of Fu Cangli, Fu Lansheng had lost his parents. A Bao cried bitterly.

Fu Cangli told Xie Xuechen that He Xianwo planned to open the Celestial Ladder but claimed to know nothing else. Fu Lansheng then informed Xie Xuechen that Gao Qiumin was missing. Meanwhile, Gao Qiumin had been taken away by Nan Xuyue.

Episode 26 Recap

A wanted notice was posted in Bixiao Palace, revealing that He Xianwo had been declared a fugitive. Everyone in the palace was in heated discussion, shocked at He Xianwo's audacity to kidnap Gao Qiumin. Fu Lansheng, deeply saddened, sat alone before the memorial tablets of his parents. A Bao brought him some food, expressing her fears that Fu Lansheng no longer liked her or wanted to see her.

Fu Lansheng reassured her, explaining that while he could no longer bear to see Fu Cangli after what he had done, A Bao would always be A Bao, and he would never dislike her. Just then, Fu Lansheng received news about Gao Qiumin’s whereabouts and rushed to inform Xie Xuechen and the others. Nan Xuyue informed them that Gao Qiumin had been taken by He Xianwo to the Dark Abyss. They couldn’t understand why He Xianwo would bring her there.

Nan Xuyue speculated it was for He Xianwo’s ultimate plan, though they didn’t know exactly what it entailed. Mu Xuanling recalled Fu Cangli once mentioning that He Xianwo wanted to open the Celestial Ladder. She voiced this possibility, and they deduced that He Xianwo had likely mistaken Gao Qiumin for the Chaos Pearl and intended to use her to open the Celestial Ladder. Fu Lansheng, confused, asked how Gao Qiumin could be the Chaos Pearl.

Mu Xuanling clarified that Gao Qiumin was not the Chaos Pearl. Nan Xuyue then revealed that the Chaos Pearl was the one who had severed the Celestial Ladder in the past, which was why He Xianwo sought its power to restore it. Nan Xuyue explained that the ancient divine artifacts, the Chaos Pearl and the Book of Destiny, were heavenly deities far above the human race.

The Chaos Pearl governed time and space as Si Chen, while the Book of Destiny controlled causality as Si Ming. Since the whereabouts of the Book of Destiny were unknown, He Xianwo focused on finding the Chaos Pearl. Fu Lansheng declared that no matter what, he would go to the Dark Abyss to bring Gao Qiumin back. Mu Xuanling stopped him, saying it was impossible for him to go alone and suggesting they needed leverage.

Nan Xuyue instantly understood her implication, gripping his fan tightly. Elsewhere in the Dark Abyss, Gao Qiumin was released from a painting by He Xianwo. It turned out Nan Xuyue had imprisoned her in a painting of his creation. He Xianwo pointed to the spot where the Celestial Ladder had once been severed, demanding Gao Qiumin help restore it. Gao Qiumin insisted she wasn’t the Chaos Pearl. He Xianwo dismissed her denial, claiming she could at least lure the Chaos Pearl.

He revealed that Mu Xuanling was the true Chaos Pearl. Gao Qiumin argued that Mu Xuanling was merely a spirit clan member and couldn’t possibly be the Chaos Pearl. He Xianwo accused her of lying, claiming her denials only confirmed his belief. At that moment, Mu Xuanling and the others arrived. Gao Qiumin immediately accused Nan Xuyue and He Xianwo of being accomplices.

Seeing the real Chaos Pearl, He Xianwo threw Fu Lansheng and Gao Qiumin into a nearby black hole, leaving Nan Xuyue and the others behind. Nan Xuyue then activated the Death Gate Formation against He Xianwo. Xie Xuechen had previously consulted Lord Qian Guang about the Ten Thousand Immortals Formation, learning that it required three powerful individuals but involved one Death Gate.

He Xianwo, realizing Nan Xuyue had set a Death Gate on him, questioned Xie Xuechen’s trust in Nan Xuyue. It turned out Nan Xuyue had confided in Xie Xuechen earlier, claiming he had been coerced. However, Nan Xuyue soon revealed his true intentions, setting the Death Gate on all three individuals. The formation, once activated, could not be stopped, and no one could escape. Mu Xuanling collapsed to the ground, severely injured, while Xie Xuechen was only wounded.

Before the battle, Mu Xuanling had given Xie Xuechen a jade token from Nan Xuyue after overhearing a conversation between him and Xuan Xin, learning it could save a life. Nan Xuyue miscalculated, as the person he loved, Mu Xuanling, perished because of him. Staring at her lifeless body in disbelief and agony, he moved forward to check on her. Xie Xuechen warned him that if he took another step, he would kill him.

Feng Yao arrived and took the injured Nan Xuyue away. Mu Xuanling’s blood flowed across the ground, unexpectedly opening the Celestial Ladder. He Xianwo ascended the ladder, finding no gods but discovering the long-lost Book of Destiny.

Episode 27 Recap

He Xianwo saw Zhao Ming’s appearance in the Book of Destiny, which resembled Xie Xuechen. He muttered to himself that the person he had schemed so hard to kill was actually the one he admired. Furious, He Xianwo raised his sword and struck the Book of Destiny, but the book emitted a powerful light, knocking him to the ground. Kneeling, He Xianwo infused his own blood into the sword in his hand.

He recalled how, on that fateful day, he hadn’t gotten a clear look at Zhao Ming, but he had never forgotten his resolve to slay the gods. Zhao Ming stated that he wished for a world where only the human race existed—this was his lifelong aspiration. He Xianwo responded that it was his aspiration as well. Meanwhile, Xie Xuechen held the lifeless body of Mu Xuanling in his arms. He whispered that Mu Xuanling always found boredom unbearable.

He continued, saying that if she simply slept like this, she would fall into eternal silence. Xie Xuechen begged Mu Xuanling to wake up, promising to take her to see the mortal world if she did. He swore to accompany her in whatever she wished to do, then carried her in his arms, preparing to leave. Suddenly, Zhao Ming began to speak.

He taunted Xie Xuechen, saying that despite ending the chaos and freezing the Void Sea, his supposed victory was a complete defeat. Zhao Ming continued, blaming Xie Xuechen’s arrogance for Mu Xuanling’s death. Xie Xuechen firmly replied that he would not let her die. Zhao Ming coldly stated that Mu Xuanling was already dead and reminded him that she had once suppressed him in this place, only to die for Xie Xuechen now.

Zhao Ming concluded that they would meet again in the future. Xie Xuechen brought Mu Xuanling back to Yongxue City and placed her on an ice bed, telling her to wait for him there while he went to take care of something. He left Jun Tian, a sensing artifact, with her. Through its connection to him, he would know if she were ever in danger. Meanwhile, Feng Yao brought Nan Xuyue back to Yunxiu Manor.

She intended to transfer her spiritual power to Nan Xuyue, but it had no effect. They realized that Nan Xuyue didn’t want to accept spiritual power because he had a death wish. Nan Xuyue fell into his own mental state, where he saw Mu Xuanling. She questioned him about why he wanted to kill Xie Xuechen and what Xie Xuechen had done wrong. Nan Xuyue replied that Xie Xuechen had done nothing wrong—the fault lay with himself and his destiny.

Nan Xuyue admitted that he had once cast a divination for Xie Xuechen and Mu Xuanling, foreseeing that they were destined to meet but not fated to stay together. Mu Xuanling asked what that had to do with him wanting to kill Xie Xuechen. Nan Xuyue explained that he hadn’t understood the reason behind their ill-fated connection until he learned that Mu Xuanling was the Chaos Pearl.

He realized it was a tribulation of life and death—only one of them could survive. Originally, Nan Xuyue had planned to kill Xie Xuechen to protect Mu Xuanling, but Mu Xuanling sacrificed herself for Xie Xuechen instead. After saying this, Mu Xuanling disappeared, and Nan Xuyue desperately begged her not to leave. Nan Xuyue vowed to give his life to Mu Xuanling. He performed a spell on himself, releasing his essence.

The Book of Destiny sensed Nan Xuyue’s actions and recalled how Mu Xuanling had once said he didn’t understand emotions, which was why he had descended to the mortal world. The Book of Destiny took over Nan Xuyue’s body. Feng Yao, believing Nan Xuyue had awakened, was overjoyed, but the Book of Destiny spoke, revealing that Nan Xuyue’s desire for death meant he could not be saved.

When Feng Yao asked who it was, the entity identified itself as the Book of Destiny. Xie Xuechen and Jiang Li made a pact. Jiang Li promised that the spirit clan would no longer cause trouble and would live in peace with the human race. In return, Xie Xuechen vowed that humans and spirits would coexist harmoniously. Xie Xuechen then proposed the election of a new alliance leader.

Based on his observations, Xie Xuechen suggested that Xuan Xin was the most suitable candidate for the position. The other members of the Immortal Alliance agreed. Xie Xuechen confided in Elder Cang, revealing that Mu Xuanling was the Chaos Pearl. He explained that Mu Xuanling had sacrificed far too much for the human race and that she was also the one he loved.

Xie Xuechen entrusted Elder Cang with the management of Yongxue City while he set out to find a way to save Mu Xuanling. Xie Xuechen arrived at the site of the Eternal Lotus, determined to wait for it to bloom so he could meet the Mirror God. He waited through the cycles of spring, summer, autumn, and winter, and finally, the lotus bloomed. Consuming the Eternal Lotus, Xie Xuechen ascended to the Divine Execution Platform and met the Mirror God. He pleaded to return to the moment before the Ten Thousand Immortals Formation was activated to change Mu Xuanling’s fate.

Episode 28 Recap

The Mirror God told Xie Xuechen that he could help him return to the past and change Mu Xuanling's fate. However, only Xie Xuechen's spiritual form could return, while his physical body would remain in the present. Each journey back would deplete his spirit. Xie Xuechen replied that as long as he could save Mu Xuanling, it didn’t matter what it cost. The Mirror God asked him to decide which point in time he wanted to return to.

Xie Xuechen chose to go back to the moment before the Ten Thousand Immortals Formation was activated, as that event had ultimately led to Mu Xuanling's death. He was determined to stop He Xianwo. As Xie Xuechen’s spirit traveled back, he opened his eyes and saw Mu Xuanling. Overcome with emotion, he gazed at her with deep affection and gently touched her face. Mu Xuanling was confused by his sudden behavior but still embraced him.

Nearby, Elder Cang turned away, unwilling to witness their affectionate exchange. Xie Xuechen revealed that He Xianwo was the leader of the Decaying Immortal Pavilion and that he had to stop him from activating the Ten Thousand Immortals Formation. When Elder Cang asked how he knew this, Xie Xuechen said there was no time to explain and immediately teleported to confront He Xianwo. Xie Xuechen and He Xianwo engaged in a fierce battle.

He Xianwo was shocked by how powerful Xie Xuechen’s abilities had become. Just as Xie Xuechen was about to defeat him, he was abruptly pulled back to the present. The Mirror God watched everything unfold and wondered if Xie Xuechen might be the person he had been waiting for. When Xie Xuechen returned, he was frustrated. He said he had been so close to succeeding and asked why the Mirror God had pulled him back.

The Mirror God explained that it wasn’t his doing—Xie Xuechen's time had simply run out. Despite the failure, Xie Xuechen insisted on trying again. This time, he planned to prevent Mu Xuanling from staying in the Dark Abyss. When Xie Xuechen awoke, he found himself secluded on a snowy cliff. To avoid drawing attention, he used a hairpin that Mu Xuanling had taught him to alter his appearance.

He traveled to the Dark Abyss, where Mu Xuanling had already defeated numerous spirit clansmen and stood alone. As Xie Xuechen approached, he accidentally fell into a trap. Annoyed, he muttered, “Who sets traps at their own doorstep? ”Mu Xuanling appeared before him and reached out to pull him up, but just as Xie Xuechen grabbed her hand, she let go. She wasn’t sure if he was a friend or foe.

Left to his own devices, Xie Xuechen climbed out of the trap. He told Mu Xuanling not to stay in the Dark Abyss and urged her to live a normal life. Confused, Mu Xuanling questioned his intentions. Xie Xuechen explained that if her elder brother were still alive, he would want the same for her. Hearing this, Mu Xuanling was startled and asked how Xie Xuechen knew about her elder brother.

She declared that she needed to become stronger to avenge him. Realizing dawn was approaching, Xie Xuechen had no time to explain further and attempted to take Mu Xuanling away. However, she refused to leave with him. Determined, Xie Xuechen insisted, but Mu Xuanling pulled out a flare and threatened to fire it if he didn’t leave. She warned him that Sang Qi would return if she did so. Fearing exposure, Xie Xuechen reluctantly left.

Upon returning, he found the lights in his room still on. Peeking inside, he discovered his father there. For the first time, Xie Xuechen realized that his father truly loved him. But he also knew he couldn’t change his father’s fate. Back in the present, the Mirror God informed Xie Xuechen that his actions had still not changed anything. Xie Xuechen resolved to try a third time.

The Mirror God warned him that his spirit was already damaged, but Xie Xuechen insisted, saying that Mu Xuanling was still waiting for him. This time, Xie Xuechen returned to rescue Mu Xuanling, who was being forced to work as a spirit slave at Mingyue Manor. He bought her clothes, treated her to good food, and learned during their time together that the “elder brother” Mu Xuanling often spoke of was actually him.

Determined to take her away from the manor, Xie Xuechen went to find Gao Fengxu, seeking his approval to take Mu Xuanling with him. He arrived at Mingyue Manor and came face-to-face with Gao Fengxu.

Episode 29 Recap

Xie Xuechen went to meet Gao Fengxu, who assumed he was there to attend Gao Qiumin's birthday banquet. However, Xie Xuechen clarified that he wasn’t there for the banquet but had come to request a spiritual slave. Xie Xuechen hoped Gao Fengxu could unlock the Spirit Lock Ring. Outwardly, Gao Fengxu agreed immediately and told Xie Xuechen to wait in a room.

Once Xie Xuechen left, Gao Fengxu instructed his subordinates to investigate which spiritual slave had caught Xie Xuechen’s attention, suspecting that the slave must be extraordinary if Xie Xuechen had traveled so far to request them. Meanwhile, Mu Xuanling returned wearing new clothes. The supervisor, seeing her attire, mistakenly assumed she had stolen them from Gao Qiumin. The supervisor beat Mu Xuanling, and Sang Qi arrived at that moment.

Xie Xuechen hadn’t expected Sang Qi to arrive so quickly and immediately went out to search for Mu Xuanling. In a courtyard, Xie Xuechen found Gao Qiumin wearing Mu Xuanling's clothes. Initially, he mistook Gao Qiumin for Mu Xuanling and prepared to leave with her. However, once Gao Qiumin spoke, Xie Xuechen realized it wasn’t Mu Xuanling. Gao Qiumin explained that Gao Fengxu had made her wear Mu Xuanling’s clothes so that Mu Xuanling could die in her place.

Recognizing Xie Xuechen, Gao Qiumin suggested they escape together and pointed out a way to flee. Xie Xuechen, however, told her that letting someone else die in her place was wrong and urged her to leave immediately if she could escape. Xie Xuechen eventually found Mu Xuanling under a large tree and intended to take her away. However, Gao Fengxu intercepted them.

Upon seeing the patterns on Mu Xuanling’s face, which resembled the patterns on the Chaos Pearl, Gao Fengxu became suspicious of a connection between Mu Xuanling and the Chaos Pearl. As a result, he refused to let Xie Xuechen take her. Determined to protect Mu Xuanling, Xie Xuechen knew he couldn’t defeat Gao Fengxu directly. As a last resort, Xie Xuechen destroyed his own inner core to fight Gao Fengxu.

In the end, Xie Xuechen died in front of Mu Xuanling, causing her immense grief. Overwhelmed by sorrow, Mu Xuanling unleashed the chaotic power within her, which flowed into Xie Xuechen’s body. At that moment, Sang Qi arrived with the intent to kill Mu Xuanling. However, after seeing her eyes, he changed his mind. Sang Qi offered to take Mu Xuanling with him and promised to make her stronger.

Xie Xuechen’s spirit, watching from the side, desperately called out to Mu Xuanling, unwilling to see her leave with Sang Qi. Unfortunately, she couldn’t hear him and ultimately followed Sang Qi. Xie Xuechen’s father then appeared and forcibly brought Xie Xuechen’s spirit back into his body. However, the Mirror of Reincarnation deity informed Xie Xuechen that nothing had changed despite his efforts. Accepting his failure, Xie Xuechen listened as the deity suggested one last method.

Since Xie Xuechen had been revived by Mu Xuanling’s chaotic power, the deity explained that if Xie Xuechen destroyed his inner core again, the chaotic power would return to Mu Xuanling, bringing her back to life. However, doing so would mean Xie Xuechen would die permanently. Hearing this, Xie Xuechen smiled with relief, happy to sacrifice himself to save Mu Xuanling. After all, the chaotic power originally belonged to her.

Without hesitation, Xie Xuechen destroyed his inner core, and the chaotic power returned to Mu Xuanling, reviving her. Meanwhile, a fragment of Xie Xuechen’s soul returned to Zhao Ming’s body, freeing Zhao Ming from the depths of Rong Yuan. When Mu Xuanling awoke, it was as though she already knew everything that had happened. She vowed to protect the human world on Xie Xuechen’s behalf, lamenting that he had once again left her alone.

As she regained consciousness, Nan Xuyue appeared. However, as soon as he spoke, Mu Xuanling realized the person before her wasn’t Nan Xuyue. The stranger revealed himself as the Celestial Deity Tian Ming. In Tian Ming’s eyes, Mu Xuanling was the Chaos Pearl that had accompanied him for a century. Tian Ming brought Mu Xuanling to Yunxiu Manor and forcibly declared their marriage, explaining that in the human world, marriage symbolized a lifetime commitment between two people.

Mu Xuanling refused, but Tian Ming told her that as long as they journeyed together, the long road ahead would be theirs to share.

Episode 30 Recap

Mu Xuanling decided to mourn for Xie Xuechen, so Yunxiu Manor combined the celebration of her wedding with the funeral. Everywhere, white decorations of the Chinese character for joy could be seen. Feng Yao approached Tian Ming and questioned him, saying that he had once insisted that destiny could not be forcibly changed. She asked why he was now insisting on forcing this union, pointing out that there was no love between the two of them.

Tian Ming replied that people who love each other might not necessarily marry, and people without love might still marry. He then asked Feng Yao if she was willing to officiate the ceremony. Feng Yao refused, saying she didn’t want to be part of this farce, and walked away. Feng Yao remembered a rainy night eleven years ago when she arrived at Yunxiu Manor.

At that time, she knelt at the gates for three days and nights, begging Nan Xuyue for medicine to save her sick younger brother. Nan Xuyue came out and told her that he had already calculated her fate and that her familial ties were destined to end. Feng Yao, however, refused to give up. She insisted that no matter what, she had to try.

She promised Nan Xuyue that if he gave her the medicine, she would stay by his side for ten years. In the end, Nan Xuyue gave her the medicine. Six months later, Feng Yao returned to Yunxiu Manor, but by then, her younger brother had passed away. Around the same time, Nan Xuyue, due to family misfortune, had also become alone. From that moment, Feng Yao stayed by his side.

Thinking back, she muttered to herself, wondering why she hadn’t left even though ten years had already passed. Zhao Ming emerged from the Dark Abyss, and Xuan Xin led the Immortal Alliance to investigate the unusual activity there. When they arrived, they found Zhao Ming. At first, Xuan Xin mistook him for Xie Xuechen. Zhao Ming explained that Xie Xuechen had died and that his soul had merged into his body.

Zhao Ming then attacked Xuan Xin and the others, claiming he wanted to test Xie Xuechen’s abilities. After trying them out, Zhao Ming remarked that they were nothing special. Sparing their lives for now, he left. Meanwhile, Tian Ming was forcing Mu Xuanling to go through with the wedding ceremony. Just as they completed the ritual bows, Mu Xuanling conjured a hairpin and attempted to stab Tian Ming. While they were speaking, they sensed a commotion outside.

When they went out, they saw Zhao Ming. Mu Xuanling, seeing Zhao Ming’s face identical to Xie Xuechen’s, thought it was him. However, Tian Ming realized that Xie Xuechen’s soul had merged into Zhao Ming’s body. Zhao Ming prepared to attack Mu Xuanling, but Tian Ming intervened. Already injured, Tian Ming was no match for Zhao Ming and soon collapsed, coughing up blood. Zhao Ming tried to strike Tian Ming again, but Mu Xuanling stopped him.

Taking advantage of the moment, Tian Ming escaped with Mu Xuanling. They fled to a house deep in a bamboo forest. Tian Ming placed Mu Xuanling on a bed and said that he would explain everything once she woke up. He then went to the Celestial Tribe and met Hao Tian. Hao Tian, who oversaw the Book of Destiny and the Chaos Pearl, helped Tian Ming heal his wounds and assigned him some tasks before leaving.

Tian Ming returned to the bamboo house, where Mu Xuanling had already woken up. When she saw him outside, she told him that saving his life didn’t mean she had forgiven him. Tian Ming replied that he understood. He then proposed that they work together to deal with Zhao Ming. When Mu Xuanling asked why, Tian Ming explained that he knew Zhao Ming’s weakness—A Zhu.

He then asked Mu Xuanling if she dared to experience the past from A Zhu’s perspective. Mu Xuanling replied that there was nothing she was afraid of, so Tian Ming sent her back ten thousand years to witness A Zhu’s life. Ten thousand years ago, Hao Tian created the Book of Destiny and the Chaos Pearl. One controlled time and space, while the other governed cause and effect. The two artifacts accompanied each other on the divine altar for millennia.

One day, chaos erupted in the Celestial Tribe, and a massive crack appeared in the sky. Hao Tian instructed the Chaos Pearl to repair it. Severely weakened, the Chaos Pearl fell to the human world and transformed into a bead. Tian Ming found the bead and placed it in Emperor Zhao Ming’s pond. Zhao Ming discovered the bead and meditated on it daily.

As Zhao Ming’s royal advisor, Tian Ming told him that a fragment of his soul could be used to refine the Chaos Pearl. Following Tian Ming’s advice, Zhao Ming did so, and the Chaos Pearl eventually transformed into a human. Zhao Ming named her A Zhu.

Episode 31 Recap

A Zhu told He Zhou that although the Linglong Palace looked beautiful, she hadn't seen Zhao Ming for many days. She asked if Zhao Ming was really that busy. He Zhou replied that as the Holy Lord, Zhao Ming’s time belonged to the people of the world, so of course, he was very busy. A Zhu then asked if it wasn’t true that she was the most important person beside Zhao Ming—why was He Zhou so idle?

He Zhou said that he had important duties, but when A Zhu asked what those duties were, he replied that such responsibilities were not to be casually disclosed. He Zhou then suggested that A Zhu play a game of dice with him, offering to wager the most precious thing she had. A Zhu took out the last remaining pastry, explaining that it was her favorite and that she was reluctant to eat it.

He Zhou looked at her with a blank expression and suggested that she wager something ordinary instead. He then asked her to place the gold and silver jewelry that Zhao Ming had given her on the table as her bet. He Zhou won all of her jewelry, but A Zhu had not yet learned her lesson. Just then, Zhao Ming and his guard, A Yan, arrived. Zhao Ming said that He Zhou should teach him as well.

He took off his large signet ring and placed it as his bet. In no time, Zhao Ming won all of A Zhu’s gold and silver jewelry. He Zhou sadly slumped onto the table. Zhao Ming ordered A Yan to issue a decree, banning gambling in the palace from now on.

He told A Zhu that gambling was a bad habit, and A Zhu replied that when Zhao Ming was not around, it was always He Zhou who kept her company. Zhao Ming told her that if she stayed with He Zhou, she would inevitably be led astray. He said he would find a teacher for her to teach her how to read and write. The teacher Zhao Ming referred to was the National Teacher.

A Zhu went to meet the National Teacher. She arrived a little late and asked if the National Teacher was angry, but he assured her it was fine. A Zhu explained that He Zhou had told her to show utmost respect, but she found the National Teacher very approachable. She told him that she felt as though they had known each other for a long time.

Upon hearing this, the National Teacher was very surprised and delighted, as A Zhu was the Chaos Pearl who had accompanied him for thousands of years, and he was the Book of Destiny. The National Teacher continued to stay by A Zhu’s side, carrying with him the memories of their long past. He began teaching her some simple Chinese characters.

He explained that the character for "Heaven" (天) has two horizontal lines above the character for "person" (人), symbolizing that Heaven controls humanity. A Zhu said she didn’t like Heaven. She then brought some pastries to the National Teacher and said that she had made them herself. A Zhu asked if she had made him angry because she was too slow to learn, but the National Teacher assured her that she was very smart and would understand soon.

A Zhu requested that he continue teaching her to recognize characters the next day. The National Teacher said that once someone becomes human, simple joys are enough, and he gave her a brush as a gift. After A Zhu left, the National Teacher tried one of the pastries she had brought. His servant, Zi Chen, came to ask how they tasted. The National Teacher replied that they were sweet, but Zi Chen corrected him, saying they were actually savory.

The National Teacher thought back to his days in the heavens. He and the Chaos Pearl had spent thousands of years together, without any emotions, and had never experienced the joys or sorrows of the mortal world. He then asked Zi Chen why, when he had met someone from his homeland, he hadn’t brought her back, as their elders were full of restrictions and lacked interest.

Zi Chen responded that one’s homeland should be a place of happiness, and if it wasn’t, then there was no reason to go back. Meanwhile, A Zhu was practicing her calligraphy when Zhao Ming arrived. She told him that she knew he followed the path of the Son of Heaven. Zhao Ming replied that the path of the Son of Heaven was not something he had sought; he wished for people to break free from Heaven’s restrictions.

He looked at A Zhu and said he hoped she would live for a long time. A Zhu replied that since she was Zhao Ming’s pearl, she would always be with him. The Emperor of Gods, in search of the Divine Child, ordered his subordinates, Yi, Chi, and Zhan, to descend to the mortal world and search. However, the three of them were unable to find the Divine Child.

They planned to use Zhao Ming for their own purposes and make him help them find the Divine Child. The National Teacher received a divine edict from the Emperor of Gods and showed it to Zhao Ming. Zhao Ming told him to destroy the edict, saying that as long as he was alive, he would never be under the control of the Celestial Tribe.

Zhao Ming was troubled by this matter every day, his brow furrowed, and he couldn’t sleep peacefully. A Zhu noticed his discomfort and asked the National Teacher about it. The National Teacher explained the situation, and A Zhu, feeling that Zhao Ming had it hard, decided to stay by his side. Zhao Ming, seeing A Zhu, felt a sense of peace.

Episode 32 Recap

Inside the borders of the Western Lin Kingdom, the people were suffering, and the common folk had no food to eat. A Yan was sent by Zhao Ming to investigate the situation in the kingdom. Upon arriving at the Western Lin Palace, he overheard a conversation between the King and the God of Desire. The God of Desire suggested that the King start a war to disrupt Zhao Ming’s thoughts on a larger scale.

At that moment, Princess Qingyang of Western Lin arrived, asking her father for medicine. Her father scolded her and ordered her to leave. A Yan reported what he had seen to Zhao Ming, who confirmed his suspicions that it was indeed the gods interfering in the mortal world. Zhao Ming ordered people to quell the unrest and conflicts between the various kingdoms. The God of Desire, seeing that this plan had failed, soon devised another one.

The National Teacher's servant, Zi Chen, happily came to inform him that members of the Celestial Tribe had arrived. They wanted to bestow godhood upon Zhao Ming. The National Teacher dismissed the idea, saying that the divine decree was nothing more than a useless order for Zhao Ming. Meanwhile, the God of Desire came up with a new condition: Zhao Ming had to offer 3,000 children, and in return, she would make him a god.

Zhao Ming took the decree and, with his sword, severed it. To him, becoming a god was meaningless. He then issued an order that any members of the Celestial Tribe who entered Dongze should be killed on sight. With that, Zhao Ming prepared to take action against the God of Desire. The God of Desire turned into a wisp of smoke and fled, warning Zhao Ming that defying the gods would bring retribution.

She returned to meet with the gods Zhan and Chi to discuss their next move. They decided that sending armies from the various kingdoms to confront Dongze would be an effective strategy. Zhao Ming learned of this plan and instructed A Yan to notify the generals to prepare for battle at any moment. A Zhu, bringing food, asked Zhao Ming to eat with her, saying that she couldn’t eat without him.

Zhao Ming replied that A Zhu was only worried that he wouldn’t eat, so she came to keep him company. A Zhu said that nothing could escape Zhao Ming’s notice. She told him that while she didn’t understand many things, she knew that not eating properly would make it hard to solve problems. Zhao Ming told A Zhu that he had to personally lead the battle.

A Zhu understood that there was a difference between a general going to war and a king leading the charge. She asked him if he really had to go, and Zhao Ming explained that in the way of warfare, it was all about tactics and strategy, but more importantly, it was about one’s heart and will. He said that this battle wasn’t just a fight between humans, but a battle against the gods.

Zhao Ming said he had to go, and he had to win. That night, as A Zhu thought about Zhao Ming's words, she felt uneasy. She didn’t understand why she felt this way—was it because she was worried about him or because she didn’t want to part from him? While she was lost in thought, a bolt of lightning suddenly struck. Thankfully, the National Teacher arrived just in time to block it for her.

A Zhu fainted, and the National Teacher gently placed her on the bed. Looking at her, he thought about what she had said before: that as long as she thought of him, she would always be with him, no matter what happened. The National Teacher went to the altar to meet with Gao Tian, telling him not to harm A Zhu. Gao Tian explained that the lightning was a warning for A Zhu, a sign of her emotional attachment.

He asked the National Teacher if he loved A Zhu. The National Teacher replied that he didn’t. Zhao Ming came to say his goodbyes to A Zhu. He gave her a bag of candy, telling her that after she ate it, he would return. A Zhu said she wanted to practice swordsmanship because she wanted to protect Zhao Ming. Two months passed, and A Zhu had written Zhao Ming’s name all over the room.

The National Teacher came to ask if she planned to continue like this. A Zhu said the days without Zhao Ming felt unbearably slow. The National Teacher explained that he had given her the brush so she could write her own life story. A Zhu didn’t fully understand the National Teacher’s words, but he then took her to Zhao Ming’s secret base. The National Teacher asked A Zhu if she truly understood Zhao Ming.

He revealed that Zhao Ming wanted to use her Chaos Pearl’s power to fight against the Celestial Tribe, that Zhao Ming only sought to exploit her. A Zhu said she didn’t remember anything the National Teacher was talking about. She didn’t even know what the Chaos Pearl was, but she only knew that she was A Zhu. The National Teacher then asked if she dared to bet with him.

A Zhu refused, but the National Teacher pulled out a Qiankun Pearl. He explained that this pearl could alter time and space to save Zhao Ming if he was in danger. He insisted that A Zhu had no choice but to enter this bet. A few days later, A Yan came to tell A Zhu that Zhao Ming had been injured. She followed him to the battlefield and found Zhao Ming.

Fortunately, his injuries weren’t severe, and Princess Qingyang was also there. A Yan explained that she was a gift sent by the King of Western Lin after their defeat. A Zhu immediately objected, saying that a person could never be a gift.

Episode 33 Recap

A Yan watched Princess Qingyang from a distance. A Zhu asked him what he was looking at. A Yan replied that she was the princess sent by the Western Lin Kingdom after their defeat, as a gift. A Zhu, confused, said, "How could a noble princess be a gift? " A Yan told her that in times of chaos, there is no such thing as nobility. As they were speaking, they heard He Zhou announce that they had captured a spy.

He Zhou brought out the military map that the spy had stolen. Zhao Ming asked the spy why he did such a thing, but the spy remained silent and bit down on the poison in his mouth. It became clear that the spy had come with the intention of dying, knowing the consequences of being caught. Fortunately, Zhao Ming and his forces had won. Zhao Ming took A Zhu and Princess Qingyang back to the palace.

On the way back, the common people lined the streets, thanking Zhao Ming for giving them a peaceful life. A Zhu lifted the curtain of the carriage and looked outside. The people mistook her for Princess Qingyang and commented, "Princess Qingyang is so beautiful, she and the Holy King are such a perfect match. " A Zhu looked at Princess Qingyang sitting across from her.

Once they arrived back at the palace, A Zhu thought to herself, "If Princess Qingyang is someone who can help Zhao Ming fight against the gods, then what is my role? "Princess Qingyang held up a stone and said it had fallen from the Heavenly Ladder when it broke. She told Zhao Ming that it could help him endure the pain. Zhao Ming asked her what she wanted in return. Princess Qingyang replied that she wished to stay in Dongze.

She explained that her father, the King, had colluded with the Celestial Tribe to create an elixir for immortality, and since Princess Qingyang was young, they had used her to test the potion. To control her, her father poisoned her mother, and only he had the antidote. Princess Qingyang told Zhao Ming that she hoped he would either allow her to stay in Dongze, or at least pretend to marry her. That night, A Zhu woke up with a painful arm.

Tian Ming quickly arrived by her side. He saw that the pain in her arm was caused by the emotional pulse (qingmai), a punishment from Gao Tian for A Zhu’s feelings. Tian Ming told A Zhu that this was a consequence of her emotional attachment, and urged her to return to the altar with him immediately. A Zhu refused, saying that she had tasted love, and it wasn’t only sweet but also bitter and sour.

Tian Ming said that if she didn’t return with him, she would die. A Zhu replied that everyone dies, and Tian Ming realized that even if she died, she still wouldn’t return with him. He eased the pain in her arm before leaving. The three gods—Yu, Chi, and Zhan—were discussing how to deal with Zhao Ming. Tian Ming arrived and instructed them to continue distracting Zhao Ming with the war or make him disappear.

Meanwhile, Zhao Ming was struggling with the Heavenly Ladder’s divine fire. He was finding it difficult to endure his first exposure to it. At that moment, A Zhu went to find Zhao Ming. He Zhou stopped her at the door, telling her that Zhao Ming was busy and couldn’t meet with her. Just then, Princess Qingyang emerged from the room. She told them that Zhao Ming had already gone to sleep and asked them not to disturb him.

Every day, Zhao Ming continued to battle the Heavenly Ladder’s divine fire, while A Zhu waited to see him but was never able to. One day, she went to Princess Qingyang’s palace and saw two palace maids standing at the door, unsure of whether to go inside. A Zhu approached and asked them what was going on. The maids explained that a maid had been scolded by Princess Qingyang a few days ago and had cried.

They were afraid to go inside to deliver some snacks. A Zhu took the snacks from them and went inside to give them to Princess Qingyang. Princess Qingyang asked why it was A Zhu who had come. A Zhu replied that the maids were too afraid to deliver them. Princess Qingyang said that from now on, the maids didn’t need to come.

She added that even though she was a princess, she wasn’t someone who had been pampered her whole life. Looking out at the beautiful scenery, Princess Qingyang said that she was constantly thinking about where she would die. A Zhu replied that since she was still alive and well, it meant that her heart must still be tethered to something. With that, A Zhu left. Just as she stepped outside, she encountered A Yan.

A Yan advised A Zhu to stay away from Princess Qingyang, warning her that she was no good. The King of Western Lin told the God of Desire that Princess Qingyang had gained Zhao Ming’s favor. The God of Desire dismissed this, saying she wasn’t interested in matters of love. She asked when Princess Qingyang would act to kill Zhao Ming. If it didn’t happen soon, she suggested the King of Western Lin could do it himself.

The National Teacher told Zhao Ming that he was about to leave. Zhao Ming learned that the King of Western Lin would come to celebrate Princess Qingyang’s birthday, and he began preparing in the palace. A Zhu soon discovered that A Yan and Princess Qingyang had known each other in the past. She learned more about their connection from He Zhou.

Episode 34 Recap

A Zhu brought two bottles of wine to find A Yan. She said that she had never drunk before and wanted to try, asking A Yan to drink with her. A Zhu told him that she had never had parents and had never celebrated her birthday. A Yan replied that although he had parents, he also had never celebrated his birthday. A Zhu then said she had heard about A Yan’s past.

She asked him if he truly believed Princess Qingyang’s words. She asked if he had spent time with her and whether he couldn’t feel her true emotions. A Yan said A Zhu’s questions were really too many. A Zhu responded that he couldn’t even answer a single one of them. A Zhu decided to go find Zhao Ming instead, as he could always give her an answer.

Just as she was about to leave, she accidentally cut her hand on a stone nearby. A Yan poured some of the wine onto A Zhu’s wound, saying it would disinfect it. Afterward, A Zhu went to find Zhao Ming, and A Yan went to ask Princess Qingyang if her words about using him were truly sincere.

Princess Qingyang confirmed they were, and she said that no matter how many times A Yan asked, her answer would always be the same. A Yan called her heartless before leaving. Watching him leave, Princess Qingyang picked up the wine bottle he had dropped and drank from it. A Zhu presented a jade ring that she had carved and polished herself to Zhao Ming. She explained that it was a gift to celebrate his relationship with Princess Qingyang.

Zhao Ming remarked that she had been busy for days working on it. A Zhu asked Zhao Ming if he liked it. Zhao Ming said he liked it very much and told her not to drink wine anymore. As he said this, Zhao Ming carried A Zhu on his back, walking her back. A Zhu, resting on his back, wished time could slow down and the road could stretch farther.

The day of Princess Qingyang’s birthday banquet arrived, and the King of Western Lin was also there. He asked Princess Qingyang to dance for Zhao Ming. During the dance, she removed a hairpin from her head and threw it toward Zhao Ming, intending to assassinate him. However, she was quickly captured by Zhao Ming's guards, along with the King of Western Lin, who was also arrested. Zhao Ming ordered the execution of the King of Western Lin.

Princess Qingyang, alone in her chamber, set fire to her room, intending to burn herself and everything around her. A Yan suddenly arrived and told her that he now understood that her words had been to make him leave because she knew the King of Western Lin would continue to use him, leading to his death. A Yan said it was no wonder that Princess Qingyang had called him foolish before; now, he realized it was true.

Princess Qingyang told him there was no need to say such things and urged him to leave quickly. A Yan said that he had once vowed to protect the princess, and though he had broken that vow before, now he would stay by her side forever. Princess Qingyang was deeply moved. The two embraced and kissed in the midst of the flames. Not far away, Zhao Ming and A Zhu watched the burning building.

A Zhu asked him if this matter had been resolved. Zhao Ming replied that from now on, there would be no more A Yan and Princess Qingyang. The God Emperor asked Zhan, Chi, and Yu if Tian Ming had said anything about the child of destiny (shenzi). The three gods answered that he hadn’t. The God Emperor then ordered them to bring down a drought and make the people believe that everything was Zhao Ming’s fault.

He wanted to force them to offer sacrifices of children in hopes of finding the child of destiny. Soon, the people of Dongze had no food or drink left. They began sacrificing to the Celestial Tribe, blaming Zhao Ming as a tyrant. Zhao Ming arrived at a place where they were conducting the sacrifices and saw that the children around him were starving. He remarked that the children and the elderly were starving, yet they were still here making sacrifices.

Zhao Ming then overturned the sacrificial table and saw several children behind it. He realized they were sacrificing children. Zhao Ming immediately arranged for three thousand children to be brought to the Dongze Palace for safety. At that moment, Gao Tian ordered Tian Ming to help Zhao Ming. Tian Ming told Zhao Ming how to find the Jun Tian Sword.

Zhao Ming bid farewell to A Zhu and set off to find the sword, telling A Zhu to protect the children in the palace. Stirred by the manipulations of Zhan and Chi, the people gathered at the palace to kill Zhao Ming. They charged in, a large crowd intent on storming the palace. A Zhu was about to be injured by them, but Tian Ming arrived just in time and pulled her onto the roof. He told her that she had lost their bet and must return with him, but A Zhu refused.

Episode 35 Recap

A Zhu saw a large mob of civilians rioting. As she struggled to resist their attacks, she was nearly injured, but Tian Ming arrived just in time, shielding her. He pulled A Zhu onto the rooftop and told her, “This is human nature. ” A Zhu pleaded for his help, but Tian Ming responded that divine artifacts could not interfere with mortal affairs.

A Zhu declared that if he wouldn’t help, she would do it herself, and she prepared to leave. Tian Ming stopped her, saying that A Zhu had already lost, as this was the truth of human nature. A Zhu insisted she had not lost. She looked toward the palace gates, where Qingyang and A Yan appeared together, swords in hand, fighting against the rioters.

A Zhu told Tian Ming that she had won and demanded to know how to use the Qiankun Pearl. Tian Ming opened the Qiankun Pearl, revealing a contract. He explained that as long as two people signed their names on it, it would work. A Zhu took the Qiankun Pearl back, saying if Tian Ming wouldn’t help, she would. She soon joined the battle.

Just as A Zhu was about to be struck by a sword, Qingyang rushed in to shield her, taking the blow instead. Qingyang fell to the ground, and A Zhu told her to hold on, promising she would find a way to save her. Qingyang grabbed A Zhu’s hand and told her not to go. She said that A Zhu had once saved her with her blood, and now, this sword strike was her way of repaying her debt.

A Zhu had no time to say more to Qingyang as she returned to fight the enemies. Before long, A Yan was also wounded. Staggering, he made his way to Qingyang and took her hand. The two leaned against each other as they sat on the ground. A Yan said he hoped that in their next life, Qingyang could be free and happy. Qingyang promised him she would.

She also hoped that in his next life, A Yan could be wealthy, so he wouldn’t have to risk his life for a piece of gold. After saying this, Qingyang passed away. A Yan told her to wait for him, and soon, he also died, leaning against her. At this moment, Zhao Ming appeared, holding the Jun Tian Sword. He warned the rioters that if they didn’t retreat, there would be no sacrifices tomorrow. Frightened, the mob dispersed.

A Zhu saw that Zhao Ming had returned and ran to him, embracing him. She tearfully told him she hadn’t been able to protect them. Zhao Ming comforted her, saying she had already done very well. The two returned to the palace. That night, A Zhu wrote a marriage contract, intending for Zhao Ming to sign it. Zhao Ming asked her why it had to be that night.

A Zhu explained that since Zhao Ming was going to ascend to the heavens tomorrow to confront the Celestial Tribe, she wanted them to be married today. Zhao Ming replied that they needed a betrothal gift before marrying. He retrieved the jade ring A Zhu had given him, saying it would serve as both the gift she gave him and the one he gave her. Zhao Ming poured two glasses of wine and proposed they drink a ceremonial toast.

A Zhu, however, insisted he sign the marriage contract first, saying she couldn’t marry him without clarity. Zhao Ming saw through the marriage contract and noticed something suspicious. He secretly drugged A Zhu’s wine, and after drinking it, she fell asleep. Zhao Ming commented that while A Zhu was human, she wasn’t good at deception.

He placed the marriage contract and the Qiankun Pearl beside her pillow, telling her to have a good rest and assuring her that everything would be fine when she woke up. The next day, Zhao Ming ascended to the heavens and confronted the God Emperor. The God Emperor asked why Zhao Ming dared to ascend without being summoned. Zhao Ming declared that if the God Emperor wouldn’t enforce the heavenly laws, he would do so in his place.

He vowed to rid the world of the Celestial Tribe, fulfilling his lifelong wish. Zhao Ming then killed the Celestial Tribe and the God Emperor. In his final moments, they realized that Zhao Ming was the child of destiny they had been searching for all along. Zhao Ming then arrived at Tian Ming’s domain, where the Celestial Tribe begged the Tian Ming Book to subdue him.

The Tian Ming Book complied, labeling Zhao Ming as a Fallen God and imprisoning him in the Molten Abyss. Before his imprisonment, Zhao Ming dispersed his divine power to the people of the world. When A Zhu woke and learned of Zhao Ming’s fate, she ascended to the heavens to confront Tian Ming. The two fought fiercely.

A Zhu believed Zhao Ming’s final actions were a testament to his great righteousness, as even in his last moments, he thought of the world. She accused Tian Ming and the others of failing to understand love and compassion. Saying this, A Zhu descended into the mortal realm. Mu Xuanling, seeing A Zhu’s journey through life, opened the Tian Ming Book in search of a way to save the Demon Lord.

Episode 36 Recap

Tian Ming looked at Mu Xuanling’s face and said he had been searching for her for many years. Fortunately, he found her in this lifetime with Nan Xuyue. Mu Xuanling wanted to heal Nan Xuyue’s injuries, but Nan Xuyue told her that his wounds required half of the power of chaos to heal. He asked if she was willing to give up half of her chaos power.

Mu Xuanling responded that saving him didn’t mean she had forgiven him, but that she no longer wanted to have any connection with him from that moment onward. With that, she gave half of her chaos power to Nan Xuyue. Watching the injured Mu Xuanling, Nan Xuyue felt a whirlwind of emotions. Feng Yao then arrived to inform them that the Demon Lord had captured the members of the Immortal Alliance and burned five incense sticks as a countdown.

If Mu Xuanling didn’t go, the Demon Lord would kill the members of the Immortal Alliance. Meanwhile, the Demon Lord was holding A Bao in his arms. He declared that one incense stick had already burned out and wondered aloud which sect he should attack first. As he moved to target Fu Cangli, Xuan Xin stepped forward to block him.

The Demon Lord mocked Xuan Xin’s futile efforts, injecting demonic energy into him, hoping to turn Xuan Xin into a member of the Dark Abyss. Mu Xuanling arrived and announced that she had come to pledge her allegiance to the Demon Lord. The Demon Lord didn’t believe her and demanded she hand over the chaos power within her.

Mu Xuanling countered by asking him to release the members of the Immortal Alliance, promising to give him the chaos power in return. The Demon Lord ignored her and tried to extract the chaos power from her body. However, he was unable to take it. Mu Xuanling explained that the chaos power could only be given voluntarily. Hearing this, the Demon Lord released the members of the Immortal Alliance and took Mu Xuanling back to the Dark Abyss.

There, he once again demanded that she hand over the chaos power. Mu Xuanling told him that she only had half of the chaos power in her body and suggested he keep her around. She promised that once the other half returned, she would give it to him. Using his magic, the Demon Lord confirmed she was telling the truth.

He asked about the other half of the chaos power, but Mu Xuanling refused to tell him, saying that revealing it would put her at a disadvantage. The Demon Lord then released Gao Qiumin and Fu Lansheng, using them as leverage to force Mu Xuanling to hand over the chaos power. Mu Xuanling told him that neither Fu Lansheng nor Gao Qiumin had ever betrayed him.

She reminded him that, just like A Yan and Qingyang from ten thousand years ago, they had remained loyal. A Yan and Qingyang could have left but chose to return to the palace instead. However, the Demon Lord dismissed her words as nonsense, insisting that he had endured ten thousand years of torment in the Molten Abyss. Mu Xuanling tried to explain that none of it was real—that it was all the result of Tian Ming rewriting his fate.

In reality, Zhao Ming was a wise ruler, and Xie Xuechen was also a man with a heart for the world. The Demon Lord refused to believe her, trapping Fu Lansheng and Gao Qiumin beneath the Molten Abyss to coerce Mu Xuanling into handing over the chaos power. Meanwhile, Tian Ming helped Xuan Xin purge the demonic energy from his body. He told Xuan Xin that they now shared the same goal: defeating the Demon Lord.

During this time, Feng Yao noticed a birthmark on Xuan Xin’s shoulder and brought him medicine. Under the Molten Abyss, Fu Lansheng confessed his feelings to Gao Qiumin, admitting that he liked him. Gao Qiumin replied that if they survived this ordeal, they could be together. Elsewhere, Yan Tong, a disciple of Yongxue City, suspected that part of his senior brother Xie Xuechen’s soul still remained in the Demon Lord’s body.

Believing he could awaken Xie Xuechen, Yan Tong ventured alone into the Dark Abyss. Standing before the Demon Lord, Yan Tong spoke of his past with Xie Xuechen, hoping to revive him. However, his efforts were in vain, and the Demon Lord imprisoned him. Mu Xuanling, sitting in her room, knew she had to come up with a plan. Gao Qiumin and Fu Lansheng were still trapped beneath the Molten Abyss.

Overhearing some people talking outside her door, she learned that Yan Tong was also being held there. She sought him out, and Yan Tong gave her the Heart Insight Seal, hoping it would help her defeat the Demon Lord. Meanwhile, Feng Yao visited Xuan Xin again. She began to suspect that Xuan Xin was actually her younger brother, A Yuan.

Episode 37 Recap

Tian Ming was in unbearable pain because he had transferred the Emotional Pulse from Mu Xuanling’s hand to his own. He recalled how Hao Tian had once told him that possessing this pulse would bind him to Hao Tian’s will. As Tian Ming endured the agony, Feng Yao quickly came to support him. Feng Yao asked if he had long known that Xuan Xin was her younger brother. Tian Ming replied, "Not too early, not too late.

" Feng Yao admitted that while her brother was still alive, what Tian Ming said was also true—she and Xuan Xin were now estranged in their fates. Xuan Xin was a righteous man with a heart for the world, while she had become entangled in too many complexities. Feng Yao confessed that even if she were to meet Xuan Xin, she wouldn’t know how to face him.

She told Tian Ming that during this trip to Yongxue City, no matter what, he must ensure that Xuan Xin would not be harmed. Fu Cangli handed the Blackwood Seal to Tian Ming, warning him not to drag A Bao into the conflict. Tian Ming replied that as long as the Demon Lord remained, disaster was inevitable, and no one could stay uninvolved.

Mu Xuanling gazed at the Heart Insight Seal in her hand, recalling how Yan Tong had mentioned sensing the Yuque Aura within the Demon Lord during their encounter. Yan Tong believed that Xie Xuechen’s spirit was still within the Demon Lord and would inevitably awaken before long. Mu Xuanling wondered what the Demon Lord truly felt deep inside and decided to find a way to understand his inner thoughts.

Carrying a pot of wine, she approached the Demon Lord and remarked on the beautiful moonlight, asking why he was sitting there all alone. The Demon Lord coldly replied that she was bold for coming in uninvited. Mu Xuanling teased him, saying he was boring. The Demon Lord retorted that his greatest pleasure was killing people and threatened that if she didn’t leave, he would kill the two people trapped in the Molten Abyss.

Mu Xuanling nonchalantly said that since they were destined to die sooner or later, he might as well kill them now to spare them further suffering. Furious, the Demon Lord grabbed her by the neck and demanded the chaos power, stating he needed nothing else. The Demon Lord noticed the Heart Insight Seal on Mu Xuanling’s body and mocked her, inviting her to look into his heart if she dared.

Mu Xuanling saw the scars on his body, but he immediately pushed her away. He told her to stop pitying him and explained that the scars were from his time trapped in the Molten Abyss. Mu Xuanling pointed out that the scar on his arm was likely caused by A Zhu, but the Demon Lord quickly denied it. He dismissed her attempt to read his heart and ordered her to leave.

Mu Xuanling later saw Yan Tong collapse on the ground and noticed that the Demon Lord appeared to be restrained. She asked if he had killed Yan Tong, to which the Demon Lord replied that he would have liked to. At that moment, Tian Ming arrived and ordered Chi Ying to transform the Blackwood Seal into a sword to strike the Demon Lord.

However, Mu Xuanling stood in front of the Demon Lord to shield him, causing Tian Ming’s plan to fail once again. Feng Yao asked Tian Ming what to do next, and he assured her that he had contingency plans no matter what happened. When Mu Xuanling regained consciousness, she saw the Demon Lord standing at the door, gazing at the Xuanling Flower.

She shared with him her past with Xie Xuechen, but the Demon Lord said he wasn’t interested in hearing about it. Mu Xuanling then declared her intention to join the Demon Lord and promised to give him all her chaos power. Her condition, however, was that he release Gao Qiumin and the others, accompany her to Qifeng Forest to retrieve the Everlasting Lotus, and recover the Juntian Sword.

The Demon Lord agreed, saying he only wanted the chaos power and cared little for anything else. The two of them reached the location of the Everlasting Lotus, where Mu Xuanling warned him about the spirit illusion realm, urging him to be cautious. Just as they spoke, they entered the illusion realm. Having visited the place before, Mu Xuanling quickly realized that everything she saw was an illusion and managed to escape.

However, she couldn’t find the Demon Lord, and even using her chaos power, she was unable to sense him. Inside the illusion, the Demon Lord encountered A Zhu, who told him she had been waiting for him to return and had even finished the last piece of candy. She handed him a marriage contract and asked him to sign it.

Meanwhile, Tian Ming watched his painting and remarked that the Demon Lord’s deep obsessions would keep him trapped forever if he couldn’t break free. However, the Demon Lord saw through the fake A Zhu and killed her, successfully escaping the illusion. Mu Xuanling found him, and the two continued together toward the location of the Everlasting Lotus.

Episode 38 Recap

Mu Xuanling tried to tease the Demon Lord by attempting to push him into the nearby pool. She knew that to purify the demonic energy on his body, he needed to immerse himself in the pool and later visit the Frozen Lands. However, the Demon Lord saw through her intentions and asked how long she planned to continue playing games.

As they spoke, Mu Xuanling noticed her bracelet was missing and asked the Demon Lord to help her find it quickly. Secretly, she still wanted to get him into the pool, but just then, Lord Fengxiang appeared. Mu Xuanling thought it was a good opportunity for Fengxiang to help her out. However, upon seeing the Everlasting Lotus in Mu Xuanling’s hand, Fengxiang attacked her.

Mu Xuanling resigned herself to taking the blow, thinking, *If I have to get hit, so be it. * Just as Fengxiang was about to knock her into the water, the Demon Lord quickly caught her in his arms. Noticing the demonic energy emanating from the Demon Lord, Fengxiang exclaimed that he was from the Dark Abyss and had dared to set foot here.

The Demon Lord then attacked Fengxiang, but Mu Xuanling stopped him, urging him not to kill her. The Demon Lord turned day into night, and Qian Guang appeared. Qian Guang and Fengxiang finally met face-to-face. Mu Xuanling remarked that this was a trap set by the Mirror God, asking how it could possibly be broken. The Demon Lord confidently replied that he had killed gods before and wasn’t afraid of such things, vowing to rewrite his fate.

Mu Xuanling sarcastically remarked that the Demon Lord had gone to great lengths to ensure Fengxiang and Qian Guang could meet. The Demon Lord recalled approaching Lord Qian Guang, offering a way to free Fengxiang from this day’s trap—by trading one life for another. Qian Guang hesitated, questioning if he needed to sacrifice his own life to save Fengxiang. The Demon Lord told him to think it through carefully.

Before leaving, the Demon Lord warned Mu Xuanling not to think too highly of him, as everything came with a cost. Mu Xuanling muttered, “Whatever he says, so be it,” and followed after him. Fengxiang looked at Qian Guang and lamented that the everlasting life she sought amounted to nothing more than one day of memories. She asked how Qian Guang planned to break this trap. Qian Guang revealed that he intended to sacrifice his own life.

He explained that he only had one day left and hoped Fengxiang could take this opportunity to truly see the world. Fengxiang refused, saying she didn’t want him to trade his life for hers. Qian Guang admitted that it was his own weakness that had caused their mistakes and distance over the years. Fengxiang replied that it wasn’t entirely his fault—she was partly to blame as well. She questioned why he would involve himself again after everything they had missed.

Qian Guang revealed that he had already accompanied Fengxiang for six thousand years. He recalled how he first found her when she was trapped in a one-day cycle of reincarnation. Every morning, he would confess his feelings to her, silently staying by her side for six millennia. Hearing his story, Fengxiang admitted that Qian Guang had suffered the most.

Qian Guang told her that he would erase her memories of him because he didn’t want her to live in pain every day. Qian Guang urged Fengxiang to take a good rest and, upon waking, to explore the world, feel its beauty, and break free from her confinement. He cast a spell on Fengxiang, who fell asleep. When Mu Xuanling and the Demon Lord arrived, Qian Guang entrusted them with watching over Fengxiang for the night.

After saying this, Qian Guang disappeared. The next morning, Fengxiang woke up and saw Mu Xuanling and the Demon Lord. She asked why they hadn’t left yet. Mu Xuanling was surprised and asked if she remembered them. Fengxiang replied that they were the ones who came yesterday to take the Everlasting Lotus and even fought her. When Mu Xuanling mentioned Qian Guang’s name, Fengxiang said she didn’t know who that was.

Fengxiang then declared that she wanted to leave, saying it was too lonely there. With that, she departed. Watching her leave, Mu Xuanling asked the Demon Lord if Fengxiang had truly forgotten. The Demon Lord replied that whether she had forgotten or not was something only she would know. As Fengxiang walked away, she thought to herself that her cultivation was on par with Qian Guang’s, and if she didn’t want it, he couldn’t erase her memories.

She resolved that even if they were painful, those memories were hers to keep. Meanwhile, Tian Ming attempted to awaken Xuan Xin’s inner obsession, but Xuan Xin resisted being controlled by it. Mu Xuanling and the Demon Lord arrived at the Frozen Cliff in Yongxue City, only to find that Tian Ming had set up a deadly trap there.

Episode 39 Recap

The Demon Lord let out a roar, shattering everything in his path. Tian Ming was shocked, realizing that the Demon Lord had gathered the power of the Nine Days to break through the Jade Quenching Seal. The Demon Lord declared that the Melting Abyss couldn’t trap him, and neither could the power of the Jade Quenching or Tian Ming's killing formation. Tian Ming, stunned, could not believe that the Demon Lord had broken his killing formation.

He took out his Destiny Book, preparing to deal with the Demon Lord. The Demon Lord entered the Destiny Book, intending to destroy it. However, inside the book, he witnessed events from a thousand years ago between Zhao Ming and A Zhu. The Demon Lord’s thoughts shifted, and he realized that he had misunderstood A Zhu. A Zhu had never abandoned him.

Emerging from the Destiny Book, the Demon Lord intended to take the Jun Tian Sword, but it did not recognize him. The Demon Lord said that whether the sword recognized him or not, he was taking it. With Jun Tian in his hand, he cleaved through the killing formation set by Tian Ming. The Demon Lord then took Mu Xuanling and left. Meanwhile, Hao Tian blamed Tian Ming for not following his orders, which had led to the current situation.

In the heavens, Hao Tian addressed Tian Ming, telling him to choose whether to obey his commands or face his demise. With that, Hao Tian took control of Tian Ming. Tian Ming sat alone, feeling hopeless. At that moment, Feng Yao arrived. She told him she had come to bring him home. Hao Tian scoffed, claiming Feng Yao was overestimating herself and could never shake his power. Hao Tian began attacking Feng Yao, but she continued to approach Tian Ming.

Hao Tian warned her that if she didn’t stop, he would kill her. Yet Feng Yao ignored him, resolutely walking toward Tian Ming. Seeing her determination, Tian Ming began to fight back. He told Hao Tian that as his pawn, he too could destroy himself. It would then be up to Hao Tian, the one who controlled the game, to see how he would respond.

Tian Ming was about to destroy his divine aperture when Hao Tian, seeing his intent to sacrifice himself, canceled his connection with Tian Ming's emotional pulse. But Tian Ming didn’t stop. Hao Tian asked if it was really worth it for a mere human, and declared that he had severed his emotional pulse. Tian Ming mockingly smiled and commented that it seemed even Hao Tian could get nervous at times. Hao Tian left.

Tian Ming, holding the dying Feng Yao in his arms, told her that he didn’t love her. Feng Yao replied that she didn’t love him either. She said she loved the man who had held an umbrella for her in the rain eleven years ago. Tian Ming watched as she died in his arms. The Demon Lord returned to the Dark Abyss, holding the marriage contract he had recovered. He now understood that A Zhu had always loved him.

It was he who had believed in a false outcome and lived in hatred. As he looked at the contract, the Demon Lord seemed to see A Zhu again. He was lost, not knowing who he truly was. A Zhu appeared to him, telling him that whether he was Saint King Zhao Ming, Fallen God Zhao Ming, or Demon Lord Zhao Ming, it was all his choice.

She told him that if he didn’t know, he could always ask his heart. Tian Ming buried Feng Yao, and Xuan Xin arrived. Tian Ming asked when Xuan Xin had known about Feng Yao’s identity. Xuan Xin replied that he had sensed it long ago due to their blood connection. However, he had been waiting for Feng Yao to recognize him. Now, it seemed there would be no chance for that. As they talked, Hao Tian appeared.

He told Tian Ming that he could not prevent Hao Tian's arrival. Hao Tian declared that he would soon reveal himself and instructed Tian Ming to sit and wait as he destroyed the world. Meanwhile, Zhao Ming and Mu Xuanling noticed strange occurrences in the Dark Abyss. They knew the world was heading toward destruction, and that the anomalies in the mortal world would likely be even more apparent. Sure enough, Hao Tian began attacking humanity.

People in the streets were forced into a corner. Xuan Xin, leading the Immortal Alliance, stood to protect the common folk, fighting back against Hao Tian. Gao Qiumin and Fu Lansheng arrived with an airship to pick them up. Zhao Ming instructed Zhi Ying and Chi Ying to find Tian Ming. Eventually, Tian Ming and Zhao Ming met again.

Together, they discussed how to deal with Hao Tian, ultimately deciding that the only way to defeat him was to kill him with his own hands. Mu Xuanling, who overheard, said that now she understood and was ready to join them. She had retrieved the Mirror of Time and Space from the Mirror God, intending to use it to pull the Hao Tian of the past and the present into the same timeline so they could kill each other.

Episode 40 (Ending) Recap

Mu Xuanling used the Mirror of Time and Space to open a connection between the present and a thousand years ago. Tian Ming, Zhao Ming, and the others each had a conversation with their past selves. They revealed their plan to kill Hao Tian to Zhao Ming, A Zhu, and Tian Ming from a thousand years ago. The past versions of them were cooperative. Next, Mu Xuanling and Tian Ming took the stage.

They connected the timelines, and both Zhao Mings from the past and present pretended to comply with Hao Tian, allowing him to possess them. Eventually, the two Hao Tians met in the same timeline, and they saw through Zhao Ming's plan. Hao Tian mocked them for finding a way to confront him but insisted that they were still no match for him. Hao Tian began brainwashing the two Zhao Mings.

He told the Zhao Ming from the past that he had been suppressed in the Melting Abyss, with no one to love or care for him. To the present Zhao Ming, he said that Mu Xuanling's heart belonged to Xie Xuechen and not him. Both Zhao Mings fell into their respective inner demons. Mu Xuanling and Tian Ming witnessed this scene. They knew they only had a single incense stick’s worth of time to carry out the plan.

As the time ticked down, Mu Xuanling realized that this was Hao Tian’s strategy—he wanted to let the incense burn down, at which point they would be sent back to their own timelines. Mu Xuanling grew anxious, but Tian Ming told her they couldn’t interfere with the timelines of the two Zhao Mings. Mu Xuanling offered all her chaotic power to Tian Ming, asking him to go to their timelines and wake them up.

Tian Ming was reluctant to let Mu Xuanling sacrifice herself and insisted he should be the one to do it. Though Mu Xuanling didn’t want to see him perish, Tian Ming was adamant. Mu Xuanling agreed that if this was the case, she wouldn’t let Tian Ming sacrifice himself for nothing. She went to Zhao Ming's side, and A Zhu went to the side of the Zhao Ming from a thousand years ago.

They both tried to wake up Zhao Ming, but Hao Tian was still in the background, constantly brainwashing him. Finally, Mu Xuanling and A Zhu, with no other choice, gave their chaotic power to Zhao Ming. Zhao Ming woke up, and the two Hao Tians faced each other. They drew their swords and killed each other. Zhao Ming returned to the past and retraced the path he had walked before.

He went to the Eastern Ze Imperial Palace, where he met A Zhu. A Zhu told him that no matter what his fate was, she would stay by his side. She said that even if they were a foolish monarch and a demon queen, it wouldn’t be so bad. But Zhao Ming, even knowing the outcome from a thousand years later and enduring the pain for so long, still chose the world.

Zhao Ming told A Zhu that the time had come, and they must part ways. The two of them shared a deep embrace before parting. Zhao Ming took the Jun Tian sword and flew up to the heavens. He killed the Divine Emperor and all the gods, and finally, he reached the place where Tian Ming was. Other gods in the heavens were begging Tian Ming to stop Zhao Ming.

Zhao Ming stood before Tian Ming and asked if he would still act the same way after Hao Tian had been eliminated. Tian Ming replied that he controlled the cause and effect of time and there was no hypothetical scenario. Zhao Ming told him to make his move. Tian Ming asked if Zhao Ming had anything left to say. Zhao Ming replied that he had no regrets. With that, Zhao Ming was once again sealed beneath the Melting Abyss.

A Zhu, using her chaotic power, returned to the heavens. They now knew what would happen a thousand years later, and A Zhu asked Tian Ming if he would stop her this time. Tian Ming replied that she could do whatever she wished. A Zhu asked Tian Ming what Zhao Ming’s last words were. Tian Ming told her that Zhao Ming had no regrets.

A Zhu sighed, knowing he had endured a thousand years of pain and still made that choice. She then said that since this was the case, they would no longer fight. A Zhu went to the Mirror God and gave him the Mirror of Time and Space, then bade farewell to Tian Ming, descending back to the mortal world. She told him to enjoy his life. After A Zhu left, Tian Ming realized the Destiny Book had lost its meaning.

He destroyed it. Mu Xuanling woke up from her bed and noticed the Spirit Lock Ring around her ankle. She stepped outside and saw a man standing under the Xuanling tree. Mu Xuanling was about to call out Xie Xuechen’s name, but then she saw him use his demonic power to make the tree blossom. Mu Xuanling hesitated, but when the man turned around, she saw that it was indeed Xie Xuechen. The two of them joyfully embraced and kissed.
