Mu Xuanling lay gravely injured on the ground when Xie Xuechen rushed over. She told him her body hurt terribly, and Xie Xuechen replied that he knew. He picked her up and left immediately. Gao Qiuyun watched their departing figures and muttered, “It’s not like I did it on purpose. ” Just as she finished speaking, someone called her name from behind. Startled, she turned around to see Fu Lansheng.

Fu Lansheng thought to himself that Gao Qiuyun and Xie Xuechen had been engaged, but now it seemed Xie Xuechen and Mu Xuanling were entangled with each other. Worried that Gao Qiuyun might feel upset, he tried to comfort her. However, Gao Qiuyun’s real concern was that Fu Lansheng might have seen her harming Mu Xuanling. Their conversation ended with mutual misunderstandings. Gao Qiuyun quickly took both her sword and Mu Xuanling’s sword and left.

Shortly after, people from Xuantian Sect arrived, finding the area deserted. Their leader remarked that if Mu Xuanling had been truly strong, she could have fought back. Since she had fled, it was likely someone had rescued her. Xie Xuechen looked at Mu Xuanling lying on the bed, still groaning in pain, and felt deeply distressed. He prepared to use his spiritual energy to heal her wounds, but Mu Xuanling’s body couldn’t absorb it.

Xie Xuechen recalled how Mu Xuanling had once told him that her spiritual core was damaged, making it impossible for her to cultivate spiritual energy. He was shocked to find that not only could she not use spiritual energy, but she couldn’t absorb it either. Determined, Xie Xuechen took Mu Xuanling’s hand and transferred the curse from her body onto his own. Mu Xuanling’s injuries healed instantly.

Nan Xuyue, seeing this, remarked that Xie Xuechen had gone to great lengths for Mu Xuanling. Xie Xuechen explained that with the jade amulet protecting him, he didn’t feel much pain, but Mu Xuanling couldn’t endure it. Nan Xuyue said it was the first time he’d seen Xie Xuechen afraid of someone else being in pain and asked what Xie Xuechen truly felt about Mu Xuanling.

Xie Xuechen replied that since he was the one who brought her to Yongxue City, it was his responsibility to look after her. Then, Xie Xuechen told Nan Xuyue to stay and watch over Mu Xuanling, as it wasn’t appropriate for him to remain there. With that, he left. Watching him walk away, Nan Xuyue muttered, “Loving someone like him is exhausting. ” Meanwhile, Xie Xuechen repaired the curse on his body alone.

One of his disciples approached and told him it wasn’t worth it. Xie Xuechen asked how Mu Xuanling had been behaving recently. The disciple reported that she was on the verge of using up her ten warnings and would soon be expelled from Yongxue City. Xie Xuechen asked for the record book, erased all her recorded mistakes, and told the disciple, “I asked you to watch over her, not to document her faults.

”When Mu Xuanling woke up, she remembered that Xie Xuechen had been the one to bring her back. She was about to get out of bed when she heard someone coming and quickly lay down again. Nan Xuyue entered, carrying food. Mu Xuanling asked where Xie Xuechen was. Nan Xuyue explained that the Dark Clan had infiltrated the city, and Xie Xuechen was handling it.

Mu Xuanling scoffed at the curse from Xuantian Sect, saying it wasn’t as terrible as she’d imagined. Nan Xuyue told her she wasn’t in pain because someone had taken it on for her. He revealed that Xie Xuechen had transferred the curse onto himself. Angrily, Mu Xuanling asked who had told him to do that and said she would go find him. Nan Xuyue stopped her, saying it wouldn’t change anything.

Meanwhile, Xie Xuechen was discussing the Dark Clan’s infiltration with the leader of Xuantian Sect. They agreed that someone inside the city must have been aiding the Dark Clan. The leader assigned his junior, Xuan Xin, to assist Xie Xuechen in uncovering the traitor. Mu Xuanling found Xie Xuechen’s room cold and lifeless, so she decorated it with flowers and plants. Suddenly, she was pulled into an illusion by Sang Qi.

Sang Qi reminded her not to forget her mission—to kill Xie Xuechen and steal the Chaos Pearl. When Mu Xuanling woke up, she was in tears, having decided to sacrifice her life to save Xie Xuechen’s. Gao Qiuyun had been standing outside her door, hesitating to apologize. Just as she gathered her courage, Mu Xuanling appeared behind her. Gao Qiuyun gifted her a magical artifact that could create pleasant dreams and apologized.

That night, Mu Xuanling dreamed of sweet moments with Xie Xuechen. Meanwhile, Xie Xuechen and the Immortal Alliance were discussing the selection of the new alliance leader.
