Xie Xuechen was preparing to take Mu Xuanling back to Yongxue City. Mu Xuanling asked how he planned to introduce her, suggesting they could just tell everyone she was the Chaos Pearl. Xie Xuechen refused, warning that if they found out, they would all come after her with swords drawn. As the two were chatting intimately, Nan Xuyue appeared in the distance. He watched them with a displeased expression.

Feng Yao teased him, saying, “If it makes you unhappy, why did you come? ” Nan Xuyue denied feeling upset and stated, “The outcome is already decided; no one can change it. It’s the same with Qian Guang and Feng Xiang, and now it’s the same with Mu Xuanling and Xie Xuechen. ”When Xie Xuechen brought Mu Xuanling to the gates of Yongxue City, Elder Cang came out to greet them, delighted to see Xie Xuechen.

But his expression changed when he noticed Mu Xuanling hiding behind Xie Xuechen. Elder Cang asked why Xie Xuechen had brought her back again. Without responding, Xie Xuechen turned to look at Mu Xuanling with a smile. Mu Xuanling spoke up, saying that Xie Xuechen had brought her back to atone for his sins. But instead of agreeing, Xie Xuechen took her hand, leaving Elder Cang wide-eyed with shock.

Xie Xuechen explained that Mu Xuanling had not been captured—he had brought her back to go home with him. Under the astonished gazes of everyone around, Xie Xuechen and Mu Xuanling walked away together. Mu Xuanling sat on her bed and remarked how much more comfortable it was compared to the ship’s cabin where she had been sleeping. She noticed her belongings neatly placed on the bed and picked up her diary, wondering if Xie Xuechen had read it.

Just then, Nan Xuyue entered the room. He asked why she wasn’t listening to Xie Xuechen and Elder Cang’s discussion about the Chaos Pearl. Mu Xuanling replied that she wasn’t interested, to which Nan Xuyue said he wasn’t either, adding that they might as well “huddle together for warmth. ”Mu Xuanling recalled how she had once urged Nan Xuyue to take her side, and she explained that it was only because she had been poisoned at the time.

Nan Xuyue said he understood. Mu Xuanling handed back the jade token he had given her. Then she asked Nan Xuyue how he truly felt about Xie Xuechen, asking if he cared about him at all. Nan Xuyue remained silent. Mu Xuanling declared that Xie Xuechen was her bottom line and warned that if Nan Xuyue ever harmed him, she would not let it go. Nan Xuyue replied that if such a day ever came, she could kill him herself.

Later, Mu Xuanling decided to listen in on Xie Xuechen’s conversation with Elder Cang. She overheard Xie Xuechen defending her and firmly expressing his belief in her. Feeling delighted, she whispered to herself that eavesdropping was worth it. When Xie Xuechen returned to his room, he found it filled with plants and flowers. He immediately realized it was Mu Xuanling’s doing. She explained that she had originally created them before being controlled by Sang Qi.

Xie Xuechen hugged her tightly and admitted that he hadn’t realized how much she had endured, promising it would never happen again. Mu Xuanling warned him to prepare himself, as his room would occasionally end up with random things in it. Xie Xuechen told her that his room was hers to manage. Mu Xuanling then grabbed his collar and asked, “What about the person in the room? ” Xie Xuechen replied that he still had work to do.

Meanwhile, Nan Xuyue had another dream about Mu Xuanling, leaving him agitated. He sought out the former master of the Decayed Pavilion to discuss collaborating on opening the Heavenly Ladder. He believed the scenes in his dream might be related to the Celestial Realm. While Xie Xuechen was working, he suddenly heard a voice calling out to him and collapsed. Mu Xuanling quickly summoned Nan Xuyue to examine him.

After checking his pulse, Nan Xuyue told her that everything seemed normal. Just as he spoke, Xie Xuechen woke up, saying he had heard someone calling him repeatedly. Nan Xuyue speculated that it might be a divine or demonic entity invading his body. Meanwhile, the former master of the Decayed Pavilion prepared to open the gates to the Myriad Immortal Realm, planning to destroy the human race and find the Chaos Pearl.

Xie Xuechen attempted to stop him but heard the mysterious voice again. The former master then sought out Sang Qi, hoping to collaborate with him.
