Feng Yao asked if he had long known that Xuan Xin was her younger brother. Tian Ming replied, "Not too early, not too late.

" Feng Yao admitted that while her brother was still alive, what Tian Ming said was also true—she and Xuan Xin were now estranged in their fates. Xuan Xin was a righteous man with a heart for the world, while she had become entangled in too many complexities. Feng Yao confessed that even if she were to meet Xuan Xin, she wouldn’t know how to face him.

She told Tian Ming that during this trip to Yongxue City, no matter what, he must ensure that Xuan Xin would not be harmed. Fu Cangli handed the Blackwood Seal to Tian Ming, warning him not to drag A Bao into the conflict. Tian Ming replied that as long as the Demon Lord remained, disaster was inevitable, and no one could stay uninvolved.

Mu Xuanling gazed at the Heart Insight Seal in her hand, recalling how Yan Tong had mentioned sensing the Yuque Aura within the Demon Lord during their encounter. Yan Tong believed that Xie Xuechen’s spirit was still within the Demon Lord and would inevitably awaken before long. Mu Xuanling wondered what the Demon Lord truly felt deep inside and decided to find a way to understand his inner thoughts.

Carrying a pot of wine, she approached the Demon Lord and remarked on the beautiful moonlight, asking why he was sitting there all alone. The Demon Lord coldly replied that she was bold for coming in uninvited. Mu Xuanling teased him, saying he was boring. The Demon Lord retorted that his greatest pleasure was killing people and threatened that if she didn’t leave, he would kill the two people trapped in the Molten Abyss.

Mu Xuanling nonchalantly said that since they were destined to die sooner or later, he might as well kill them now to spare them further suffering. Furious, the Demon Lord grabbed her by the neck and demanded the chaos power, stating he needed nothing else. The Demon Lord noticed the Heart Insight Seal on Mu Xuanling’s body and mocked her, inviting her to look into his heart if she dared.

Mu Xuanling saw the scars on his body, but he immediately pushed her away. He told her to stop pitying him and explained that the scars were from his time trapped in the Molten Abyss. Mu Xuanling pointed out that the scar on his arm was likely caused by A Zhu, but the Demon Lord quickly denied it. He dismissed her attempt to read his heart and ordered her to leave.

Mu Xuanling later saw Yan Tong collapse on the ground and noticed that the Demon Lord appeared to be restrained. She asked if he had killed Yan Tong, to which the Demon Lord replied that he would have liked to. At that moment, Tian Ming arrived and ordered Chi Ying to transform the Blackwood Seal into a sword to strike the Demon Lord.

However, Mu Xuanling stood in front of the Demon Lord to shield him, causing Tian Ming’s plan to fail once again. Feng Yao asked Tian Ming what to do next, and he assured her that he had contingency plans no matter what happened. When Mu Xuanling regained consciousness, she saw the Demon Lord standing at the door, gazing at the Xuanling Flower.

She shared with him her past with Xie Xuechen, but the Demon Lord said he wasn’t interested in hearing about it. Mu Xuanling then declared her intention to join the Demon Lord and promised to give him all her chaos power. Her condition, however, was that he release Gao Qiumin and the others, accompany her to Qifeng Forest to retrieve the Everlasting Lotus, and recover the Juntian Sword.

The Demon Lord agreed, saying he only wanted the chaos power and cared little for anything else. The two of them reached the location of the Everlasting Lotus, where Mu Xuanling warned him about the spirit illusion realm, urging him to be cautious. Just as they spoke, they entered the illusion realm. Having visited the place before, Mu Xuanling quickly realized that everything she saw was an illusion and managed to escape.

However, she couldn’t find the Demon Lord, and even using her chaos power, she was unable to sense him. Inside the illusion, the Demon Lord encountered A Zhu, who told him she had been waiting for him to return and had even finished the last piece of candy. She handed him a marriage contract and asked him to sign it.

Meanwhile, Tian Ming watched his painting and remarked that the Demon Lord’s deep obsessions would keep him trapped forever if he couldn’t break free. However, the Demon Lord saw through the fake A Zhu and killed her, successfully escaping the illusion. Mu Xuanling found him, and the two continued together toward the location of the Everlasting Lotus.
