Mu Xuanling sat quietly to the side. Nan Xuyue approached her, asking why she claimed to be unwell when speaking to Elder Cang, yet was still here. Mu Xuanling explained that she didn’t want to see the people from the Immortal Alliance. She then asked Nan Xuyue why he wasn’t joining them either. Nan Xuyue replied that since he wasn’t a part of the Immortal Alliance, he didn’t want to get involved in the commotion.

Mu Xuanling asked if they might discover the demonic energy within her. Nan Xuyue reassured her that the spirit ink sigil on her body would typically conceal it. When Mu Xuanling asked about unusual circumstances, Nan Xuyue smirked and said it would depend on how strong her fate was. Mu Xuanling muttered that seeing the people from Xuantian Sect was even less desirable than the Immortal Alliance and cast a glance at Su Ningzhen, standing not far away.

Mu Xuanling sighed, “It seems enemies are always bound to cross paths. ” Nan Xuyue remarked that back at Mingyue Manor, she had conflicts with high-ranking cultivators. This reminded Mu Xuanling of when Sang Qi attacked the Gao family. Gao Qiuyun’s father had forced her and Gao Qiuyun to exchange clothes, even saying it was Mu Xuanling’s honor to die in Gao Qiuyun’s place.

As the two watched the Immortal Alliance arrive at Yongxue City, Nan Xuyue pointed out that the Bixiao Palace had also arrived. He told Mu Xuanling that Bixiao Palace was the wealthiest sect. He introduced her to Fu Lansheng, the young palace master of Bixiao Palace. As he finished, Fu Lansheng noticed Nan Xuyue and told his mother, Duan Xiaorong, that he wanted to join them. After glancing at the group, Duan Xiaorong permitted him to go.

Fu Lansheng approached Nan Xuyue but was intrigued by Mu Xuanling standing beside him. He asked who she was, and Nan Xuyue introduced her. Fu Lansheng, meeting Mu Xuanling for the first time, wasn’t sure what gift would suit her. He took out several magical artifacts and offered them to her, saying they were newly acquired and she could take her pick.

Mu Xuanling hesitated, not wanting to accept, but Nan Xuyue encouraged her, saying Fu Lansheng’s family had plenty of such items. At that moment, A Bao called out, “Daddy! ” Fu Lansheng, startled, asked who had spoken. Mu Xuanling explained it was her spirit beast. Fu Lansheng urged her to let the spirit beast out, and after glancing at Nan Xuyue for approval, Mu Xuanling summoned A Bao. A Bao emerged, immediately calling Fu Lansheng “Daddy.

” Fu Lansheng was startled again, and A Bao declared that her father was the wealthiest cultivator. Fu Lansheng laughed and replied that he wasn’t the wealthiest—his father was. Curious, he asked for the name of A Bao’s father. A Bao proudly said, “Fu Cangli. ”Fu Lansheng was surprised and commented that the name sounded like someone from Bixiao Palace. He promised to keep an eye out for A Bao’s father and then bid farewell to them.

Meanwhile, the Immortal Alliance members convened in the main hall to discuss matters. Xie Xuechen informed them that his father had passed away. The couple from Bixiao Palace immediately concluded it must have been the work of Sang Qi and the people of Xiu Xian Pavilion. They vowed to avenge the late alliance master. However, Xie Xuechen shifted their focus to the Chaos Pearl, stating that the true goal of their enemies was undoubtedly the pearl.

Xie Xuechen proposed electing a new alliance leader to safeguard the Chaos Pearl. The Immortal Alliance unanimously recommended Xie Xuechen for the role, believing he was the most capable. Xie Xuechen declined, stating that his powers had yet to recover fully. Su Ningzhen then expressed her desire to become the alliance leader. Her suggestion was met with immediate opposition, leading to a physical altercation. Fortunately, the leader of Xuantian Sect intervened and stopped the fighting.

Xie Xuechen suggested postponing the discussion and invited the Immortal Alliance members to stay in the city for the time being. Su Ningzhen told Gao Qiuyun to observe and learn, as once she became the alliance leader, she would make Gao Qiuyun her successor. Meanwhile, Sang Qi ordered Chi Ying to warn Mu Xuanling not to forget her responsibilities. Chi Ying arrived at Yongxue City by possessing someone.

A Bao detected the aura of the Dark Clan and alerted Mu Xuanling and Nan Xuyue. Mu Xuanling told Nan Xuyue to stay behind while she went to investigate. Mu Xuanling confronted the possessed person and began fighting Chi Ying. Gao Qiuyun, witnessing the scene, mistakenly believed Mu Xuanling was attacking a human and struck her to the ground. The Xuantian Sect leader also recited a spell that severely injured Mu Xuanling. Lying injured, Mu Xuanling thought back to the time when she had defeated everyone and approached Sang Qi’s side.
