Senior Brother Haotian from Penglai Island received a letter from Senior Brother Lu asking for help and rushed over immediately. Senior Brother Lu told Haotian that the Young Sect Leader had entered Tongming Island alone, which caused dissatisfaction among other sects. They believed he was trying to monopolize the secret treasure and expressed their discontent with Mo Xiao being appointed as the Young Sect Leader.

Haotian had also heard from Yu Yao before that Mo Xiao had just come out of seclusion and was already named the Young Sect Leader. He didn’t expect such an unreliable person. Po Yun and the masked woman entered the same secret tunnel. The masked woman was displeased that Po Yun always protected Wu Chen. However, after a fierce battle, Wu Chen defeated the masked woman and absorbed her divine consciousness into her own body. The masked woman reverted to the appearance of Xue’er. Wu Chen was shocked—it turned out the person before her was Xue’er. Chong Guang suddenly felt a sharp pain in his chest. He sensed that Wu Chen’s heart had been moved—she had feelings for Mo Xiao. Chong Guang believed it was time to reclaim what they wanted.

Wu Chen awoke from her ten-year dream to find that everything had been real. She remembered what happened on the mountaintop all those years ago and called out Mo Xiao’s name loudly. Mo Xiao heard her and rushed into the cave, revealing that he was Feng Lixue. He also told her that the divine consciousness of the masked woman and Wu Chen had merged into one. Now was the time to resolve the grievance between them.

Mo Xiao also said that he had spent ten years in seclusion just to uncover the truth of the past. His heart burned every day. Whether it was Wu Chen or the masked woman, they had both been pawns of others. He hoped Wu Chen could wake up, not let hatred cloud her judgment, not be manipulated, and not be driven by revenge. Wu Chen struck Mo Xiao with the Phoenix Feather Chain, tears streaming down her face.

One voice told her not to kill him, but another insisted on doing so. Seeing Mo Xiao in pain, Feng Lixue was heartbroken. She hoped Mo Xiao could take her away with him. Mo Xiao reached out to take Wu Chen’s hand, wanting to leave with her. But Wu Chen stabbed him again with a sword. Mo Xiao’s blood instantly dripped to the ground—he hoped to end this cycle of hatred with his own life.

Seeing Mo Xiao lying before her, Wu Chen was overwhelmed with sorrow. She knelt down silently and looked at his face, remembering how she had seen him as a child and how he had taken her away from Mang Mountain and cared for her all along. Wu Chen collapsed weakly to the ground, tears falling uncontrollably, and let out a heartbreaking scream to release her inner pain.

Po Yun, hearing the sound, rushed in to check on Feng Lixue, but Chong Guang appeared and with a wave of his hand, knocked Po Yun unconscious. Feng Lixue saw Chong Guang appear behind her and didn’t understand why, even after taking revenge, her heart still hurt so much. Chong Guang comforted her, causing her to fall asleep unknowingly.

Then, Chong Guang woke Mo Xiao with a slap, but a cloud of black mist swept across Mo Xiao’s face, and he once again closed his eyes. Chong Guang walked alone into the treasure chamber and took the spirit stones within. Ten years ago, Chong Guang saved Feng Lixue by dripping his own blood into her mouth at the foot of a cliff.

When Feng Lixue opened her eyes, she saw Chong Guang before her, with snow falling heavily outside and the world cold and frozen. She fainted again. Chong Guang saved a snow fox that was about to freeze to death and had her stay in the snow cave to take care of Feng Lixue and ensure her survival. Since then, Xue’er became Feng Lixue’s only companion in that place. The Tianxing Secret Treasure suddenly opened.

As everyone on the shore tried to explore it, they found Tongming Island suddenly overturning. Countless people were thrown into the water. Xie Lingyun, who had fallen into the water, was still worried about Murong Jing’s safety, calling out to the nearly unconscious Murong Jing. Xie Lingyun barely survived and returned to Shushan, but he remained unconscious for several days. Murong Jing and the others were missing.

Murong Jing’s brother, Murong Ce, was furious—why did so many people die, and only Xie Lingyun returned? Why had Murong Jing not come back? But Murong Changfeng believed that no news might mean they weren’t dead. Yuan Beichen believed Feng Lixue was the root of all this and hated her deeply, convinced that she had orchestrated everything. Now that Feng Lixue and the disciples of the Immortal Sect had disappeared together, he suspected it was a mutual destruction plan.

Murong Changfeng thought that if they could find Feng Lixue, they could find out what happened to Murong Jing and the others. Murong Feng volunteered to search for news of Feng Lixue. Yuan Beichen had no choice but to assign the task to Murong Ce, reminding him that the goal was to retrieve their sect members. If he encountered Feng Lixue, he should avoid her and prioritize his safety. Murong Ce then took his leave.

Before Murong Ce left, Murong Changfeng told him one thing in particular: Mo Xiao’s fate was currently unknown, but the events on Tongming Island had caused Mo Xiao great disaster. Even if he survived, his future was bleak. He advised Murong Ce, who had great capability, to consider the future leadership of the sect. However, Murong Ce only wanted to find his sister and had no interest in such long-term matters.
