Xuyuan Yunchao was punished and imprisoned, but he remained calm and leisurely read books. Feng Lixue, feeling guilty, came to visit him, thanking him for saving her twice. A benefactor is definitely more important than a friend, and she didn’t want to see Xuyuan Yunchao locked up for seven days. She took the initiative to plead with Chong Guang for his release.

Feng Lixue explained that it was Ji Xingluo who had set a trap that day, deliberately leading her into the chamber. She had only gone in out of curiosity to see what the Wuyan Stone looked like. Chong Guang openly admitted that he wanted to help Feng Lixue seek revenge, but he also had his own plans to fulfill. When Feng Lixue asked what those plans were, Chong Guang didn’t tell her.

Feng Lixue asked if he was afraid she might betray him. Unexpectedly, Chong Guang said that he and Feng Lixue were one and the same, and it was impossible for her to betray him. He moved closer to her, looked into her eyes, saying they could melt ten thousand miles of snow and ice. As he gently stroked her face, seemingly lost in the moment, Chang Ming came to report that Mo Xiao had broken in.

Chong Guang did not blame Mo Xiao; instead, he generously invited him to drink. Mo Xiao refused the drink and asked for the antidote from Ai Yu Valley, offering himself in exchange. He had already seen through Chong Guang’s elaborate scheme to lure him to Tongming Island. In fact, the Wuyan Stone could have been acquired without alerting Shushan, but Chong Guang had gone to great lengths, hoping to use those people's spiritual power to nourish the Demon Stone.

Mo Xiao alone was worth more than all of them. Chong Guang agreed to first send the antidote to Shushan’s disciples and urged Mo Xiao to drink the wine before him. Just as Mo Xiao was about to drink, Feng Lixue knocked the cup from his hand. Seeing her arrive made Mo Xiao very happy—they could finally be together.

Seeing the expression on Mo Xiao’s face pleased Chong Guang as well, because there was no poison in the wine itself, but the fragrance was already laced with venom. Once the love poison entered the heart, it would override all moral boundaries and compel one to follow their true desires. Though Mo Xiao’s cultivation was strong, even Chong Guang was unsure how many days it would take for him to succumb.

Precisely because Mo Xiao was Feng Yue’s disciple and a rare talent, Chong Guang was willing to wait. After learning from Chong Guang that Mo Xiao had already been poisoned, Feng Lixue went to see Mo Xiao specifically. She had imagined countless ways to take revenge, but never this one. Seeing the deep affection in Mo Xiao’s eyes made her feel terribly sad. Xie Lingyun and Murong Ce had already guessed that Mo Xiao would offer himself in exchange for everyone.

Seeing that he hadn’t returned for a long time, the two donned dark clothing to go find him. Chang Ming, following orders, entered the prison to retrieve the three from Shushan and gave them the antidote. Lu Jianchuan and the others quickly returned to normal. They were shocked to find themselves in the dungeon of Ai Yu Valley.

Chang Ming warned Lu Jianchuan that if they didn’t want to die, they had better take their brothers and leave immediately; if they stayed, they would become spiritual offerings for the Demon Stone. After handing the three over to Xie Lingyun and Murong Ce, Chang Ming quietly left. Xie Lingyun suspected that Lu Jianchuan had secretly hidden the antidote. Lu Jianchuan explained that he woke up after being force-fed the medicine.

Xie Lingyun didn’t press further and urged the three to quickly rejoin their sect leader. Meanwhile, Chang Ming secretly observed everything and later reported to Chong Guang. Upon learning that Shushan’s sect leader had arrived, Chong Guang began preparing for a “proper reception. ”Mo Xiao spent every day alone with Feng Lixue, telling her stories of his travels, hoping to never be separated from her. Feng Lixue was happy but couldn’t understand why she so easily believed Mo Xiao’s promises.

Just then, Chang Ming arrived to inform Feng Lixue that the people of Shushan had reached the outskirts of the city. Chong Guang wanted her to hasten the activation of the poison in Mo Xiao’s body. Once Mo Xiao fell into darkness, Shushan’s forces would fall into disarray. Feng Lixue warned Chang Ming not to meddle, saying she had her own plan. When he tried to say more, Mo Xiao grabbed him by the throat.

Feng Lixue once again ordered him to leave. Knowing he couldn’t defeat Mo Xiao, Chang Ming left. Mo Xiao declared with deep emotion that he would never let anyone hurt her, and Feng Lixue promised that as long as she was there, nothing would happen to Mo Xiao. Feng Lixue and Mo Xiao wandered through Ai Yu Valley together. Mo Xiao bought glutinous rice dumplings for her and carried her in his arms.

Murong Ce saw this scene and hurried back to fetch Xie Lingyun. Mo Xiao then flew with Feng Lixue up beside the high-altitude Demon Stone. The two looked deeply into each other's eyes and drank wine together in front of everyone. Murong Ce suspected Mo Xiao had been poisoned. Just as everyone was offering their blessings, Yu Yao suddenly attempted to assassinate Mo Xiao.

Feng Lixue stopped her and warned her that Mo Xiao’s life belonged to her, and no one else could touch him. Mo Xiao held Feng Lixue close, telling her that her eyes should see only him. The two shared a smile and walked away as if no one else existed. Chong Guang sat alone in a chair, but another version of him appeared in the mirror, warning that he had developed feelings for Feng Lixue.

If the lord of Ai Yu City fell in love, he would inevitably suffer a magical backlash. Chong Guang, however, refused to admit it, claiming instead that he was an immortal fallen god. Ji Xingluo went to find Wushuang and told her that Shushan was planning to act against Chong Guang. Wushuang believed that since even Mo Xiao had been poisoned, the other disciples were even less of a threat.

There was no need to rush to watch the chaos unfold. Ji Xingluo had waited for decades for this day, to see how Yuan Beichen would fall into the demon lord’s hands. Over twenty years ago, Yuan Beichen had humiliated and abandoned her. That hatred had never faded. But Wushuang didn’t seem interested in going. She remained in her palace, claiming she no longer felt love or sorrow.
