Everyone was shocked when they heard that the way to break the curse was the Su Yu Cauldron. It was as if no solution had been offered at all. The Su Yu Cauldron was hidden in its lair on Su Yu Mountain, and to destroy it would mean attacking its stronghold—an almost impossible feat. Yet it was the only method. Everyone wanted to go, but Yuan Beichen forbade them, deciding to go to Su Yu Mountain himself.

Mo Xiao also learned of the situation and wrote a letter to Murong Changfeng, informing him of his journey to Su Yu Mountain, which made everyone anxious for his safety. Feng Lixue came to deliver something to Chong Guang. Seeing him asleep, she tried to investigate the matter of demonic energy. But just then, Changming arrived to inform Chong Guang that Mo Xiao had attacked Su Yu Mountain. Chong Guang dispatched Feng Lixue to go confront him.

At the same time, Xuyuan Wushuang also received the news and immediately rushed over to avenge her husband. When Feng Lixue saw Mo Xiao, she scolded him for coming. But suddenly, Wushuang attacked and took Mo Xiao away. When Chong Guang heard the news, he didn’t stop her. Instead, he knew Wushuang was seeking revenge for Ye Yuan.

He also knew Wushuang wasn’t strong enough to kill Mo Xiao and that Feng Lixue was one of his people, so Wushuang wouldn't harm her either. Thus, Chong Guang remained unmoved. Wushuang bound Mo Xiao, intending to kill him to avenge her husband. Feng Lixue rushed to stop her, and the two fought. Meanwhile, Chong Guang observed coldly. Suddenly feeling a sharp pain in his chest, he realized something had happened to Feng Lixue.

Xuyuan Yunchao arrived, kneeling and begging his mother to release Feng Lixue. Ming Huang also arrived to persuade her not to provoke Chong Guang, reminding Wushuang of the years she had endured under Chong Guang’s rule and for what purpose. Wushuang wept bitterly. Her own child was still missing, and her husband had been killed. She no longer knew why she should continue to endure.

After saying this, she tried to summon the Black Dragon to kill Feng Lixue and Mo Xiao. But Feng Lixue froze the lake and the Black Dragon, then fainted. In a panic, Mo Xiao broke free from his bindings and took Feng Lixue away. Xie Lingyun pretended to go relieve himself, but in fact, he planned to break through to Su Yu Mountain. Murong Jing saw through him and brought out the Jade Osmanthus Scarf from Murong Ce.

The scarf could protect against all poisons. The two of them used it to force their way through the poisonous barrier toward Su Yu Mountain. Mo Xiao had planned to take Feng Lixue away but was blocked by Wushuang. Just then, Chong Guang arrived and took Feng Lixue away. During the fight, Wushuang nearly fell but was saved by Mo Xiao. Not wanting to keep fighting her, he left first.

At the foot of Su Yu Mountain, Xie Lingyun didn’t want Murong Jing to follow him into danger and told her to wait below. But Murong Jing insisted on coming, and Xie Lingyun had no choice but to let her. However, just as the two climbed up, they were captured by Changming’s men. Changming sent his subordinates away and led Xie Lingyun and Murong Jing to a bamboo house in a bamboo forest. The house was actually a formation.

Changming untied Murong Jing and told them to stay there. Their meals would be delivered three times a day, and even if they wanted to leave, they couldn’t—there were illusions everywhere. Xie Lingyun was puzzled why Changming didn’t kill them but instead imprisoned them here. Inside Su Yu Mountain, immortals’ magic was restricted. Yuan Beichen was no match for Chong Guang, yet he still made it here.

Ji Xingluo came to stop him out of hatred, feeling abandoned by Yuan Beichen in the past. But Yuan Beichen shattered her whip. All these years, Ji Xingluo had hoped Yuan Beichen would feel some guilt, but he felt none and believed he had done no wrong. Yuan Beichen continued forward and heard drums coming from Su Yu Mountain. Just as he was puzzled, Ji Xingluo stabbed him from behind, hitting a vital point and knocking him unconscious.

Meanwhile, Mo Xiao pushed down the Su Yu Cauldron, but Chong Guang did not appear, as if nothing had happened today. Yet he believed Mo Xiao could not escape Su Yu Mountain. Just then, Feng Lixue woke up and, ignoring Chong Guang’s obstruction, charged ahead to rescue Mo Xiao. Wushuang still hadn't given up her desire to avenge Ye Yuan. Under Ji Xingluo’s instigation, she planned to go see how Mo Xiao would meet his end.
