Feng Lixue kept Mo Xiao protected behind her, skillfully maneuvering and wielding the Phoenix Feather Chain to fight off the soldiers of the demon clan. Mo Xiao tried to forcefully activate his inner energy to protect Feng Lixue, but he coughed up blood and couldn’t catch his breath. Feng Lixue defeated all the enemies and was about to leave with Mo Xiao, but they were blocked by Ming Huang and Xuyuan Wushuang. A fierce battle broke out once again.

Mo Xiao was struck and fell to the ground, vomiting blood. Feng Lixue was also critically injured while protecting Mo Xiao. She tried to summon snow and ice, but Ming Huang saw through it and struck her again. Feng Lixue collapsed, and Mo Xiao, determined to protect her, set up a barrier to keep Wushuang and the others out. Seeing Feng Lixue unconscious, Mo Xiao remembered Shi Bujiu’s advice and attempted to transfer blood to her.

At that moment, Chong Guang arrived nearby. Seeing the scene, he suddenly vomited blood, and Chang Ming quickly helped him away. When Feng Lixue regained consciousness, she insisted that no one but her could kill Mo Xiao. Ji Xingluo tried to forcibly enter the barrier but was stopped by Wushuang. Wushuang thought the situation was fine—no one could enter, and those inside couldn’t escape.

Ming Huang activated a mechanism, creating a crack beneath Feng Lixue and Mo Xiao, causing the two of them to fall instantly. Murong Jing and Xie Lingyun were trying to figure out how to escape. Xie Lingyun crafted a bamboo dragonfly to scout the way. Only then did Murong Jing realize that the person she had liked all along was actually the one who made the bamboo dragonfly.

She had mistakenly thought that the boy who saved her as a child was Mo Xiao. After being bitten by a snake, a boy had given her a bamboo dragonfly and guided her down the mountain. For ten years, she believed that boy was Mo Xiao, but now she learned that Mo Xiao didn’t even know how to make one—it had been Xie Lingyun all along. Overwhelmed, Murong Jing began to cry.

Xie Lingyun assumed she was crying out of fear that they couldn’t escape and quickly comforted her, assuring her he’d get them out. He even teased that if they couldn’t escape, maybe they’d just live there and have a few children, which made Murong Jing chase him around in anger. Suddenly, Chang Ming appeared and knocked Xie Lingyun unconscious, warning Murong Jing to keep him in check. Murong Jing gently cared for the unconscious Xie Lingyun.

When he woke up, he noticed traces of tears on her face and couldn’t help but tease her again. Murong Jing worried they might starve to death in there. At that moment, two people brought food, but no matter how much Xie Lingyun asked, they said nothing. Left with no choice, he started eating. As Mo Xiao still hadn’t returned, Zi Su proposed going to check out Shuyu Mountain. At that moment, Yuan Beichen returned, severely injured.

Everyone rushed out to meet him. Feng Lixue and Mo Xiao had fallen into a deep abyss known as the Abyss of the Demon Clan. Feng Lixue came to believe there was more to her father’s death than she had thought and expressed trust in Mo Xiao—but also warned that if he ever betrayed her, she would still kill him. Mo Xiao laughed happily at that.

When Chong Guang heard that Feng Lixue and Mo Xiao had fallen into the Abyss of the Demon Clan, he was overwhelmed with pain. Chang Ming thought Chong Guang should not get involved anymore, or else their plan would be exposed. But Chong Guang couldn’t leave Feng Lixue in the abyss and ignored Chang Ming’s warning, flying off to find her. Inside the abyss, glowing insects filled the air and illuminated the stone walls.

Suddenly, the two saw a figure in the darkness. Upon hearing that Mo Xiao was a disciple of Shushan, a powerful force pulled him toward it. At the same time, Chong Guang arrived and took Feng Lixue away. The black-robed figure concluded that Mo Xiao was not truly of Shushan, as nothing here could harm him. It must be the call of the Demon Spirit.

The figure told Mo Xiao to leave and said he believed Mo Xiao would return someday—and that he would be waiting right there. Seeing that the figure refused to follow him, Mo Xiao had no choice but to leave. The two people who brought food had stayed nearby and only left after Murong Jing and Xie Lingyun finished eating. Murong Jing had tampered with a bowl of soup, piercing the bottom to let the liquid leak out.

By following the trail, they finally found a way out of the courtyard. Xie Lingyun praised Murong Jing’s cleverness. Just as they escaped, they overheard two guards talking and learned that Mo Xiao was trapped in the Abyss of the Demon Clan. Chong Guang brought a bowl of medicinal wine for Feng Lixue, but she refused to drink it. Chong Guang blamed her for using the Ice Silkworm Technique, which had damaged her body.

The medicinal wine was the key to her recovery, but Feng Lixue said she was almost fully recovered and didn’t need it. She insisted on getting Mo Xiao out—no one was allowed to kill him before she got her revenge. Chong Guang asked what if it were him who wanted to kill Mo Xiao. Feng Lixue read the meaning in her master’s eyes and silently accepted the bowl and drank it. Xuyuan Yunchao was constantly worried about Feng Lixue.

When Wushuang returned, he immediately asked about her. Wushuang was unhappy with Yunchao’s concern for Feng Lixue and reminded him not to forget her kindness and their plan. Eighteen years ago, Wushuang lost her husband and child and nearly died. When she returned, she found Yunchao by the river and adopted him as her foster son, raising him to become the youngest Star Lord, all for the purpose of someday finding her son.

Zi Ying saw Feng Lixue combing Chong Guang’s hair and left angrily. Chong Guang, however, greatly enjoyed the moment, recalling the first time he met Feng Lixue ten years ago. He said he planned to enter closed-door cultivation that night and wanted Feng Lixue to protect him. But she asked to have Chang Ming do it instead, claiming she didn’t feel well.

Chong Guang sensed that Feng Lixue was no longer the same as before and asked whether she was still his. Feng Lixue replied that she would always be his disciple. Unsatisfied with that answer, Chong Guang reminded her they were more than just master and disciple—that they were one. Then, with a wave of his hand, he knocked her unconscious.

Murong Jing covered for Xie Lingyun as he descended into the Abyss of the Demon Clan, but Ming Huang discovered her and used a lotus spike to wound her, ordering everyone to guard the entrance. Just then, Mo Xiao arrived. He and Xie Lingyun told Murong Jing to wait at the entrance while they searched for another exit. After finding the exit, Mo Xiao insisted on rescuing Feng Lixue.

Xie Lingyun reminded him that she was Chong Guang’s disciple and would be fine. No one really cared about Mo Xiao’s promise. But Mo Xiao cared deeply about the promise he made to Feng Lixue. Left with no choice, Xie Lingyun took Murong Jing to leave first and find a cure for her poisoning.
