Feng Lixue quietly came to deliver something to Xuyuan Yunchao. As soon as she entered, she saw Xuyuan Yunchao frozen unconscious. Feng Lixue gave him the Cold-Repelling Gold and planned to rescue him, but Xuyuan Yunchao, afraid that Wushuang was still angry, refused to leave. He only told Feng Lixue that there was an echo here. Feng Lixue found it strange, as normally ice walls don't echo.

She looked around and discovered that one area was actually left behind by her father. Feng Lixue recalled that in her childhood, she was quite lonely, always without friends or playmates. So she often clung to Feng Xingtian, not letting him practice martial arts. Feng Xingtian then taught her a technique that could preserve the words she spoke, so he could hear them later. It became an important tool for communication between father and daughter.

Following her father's method, Feng Lixue saw a voice message left by him before his death. At that time, her father wanted to cultivate a technique in this extremely cold place that could cure the strange cold illness in her body. But in the end, Feng Lixue heard Chong Guang’s voice instead. Chong Guang felt a sharp pain in his chest and then arrived at the place where Xuyuan Yunchao was being held.

On the surface, he thanked Xuyuan Yunchao for saving Feng Lixue, but in reality, he was asking how to merge with the Ice-Soul Butterfly, as Xuyuan Yunchao, being the custodian of ancient texts, was naturally knowledgeable. Chong Guang specifically came to see Feng Lixue and informed her that something important would be announced the next day, requesting her to attend in full ceremonial dress.

As Feng Lixue watched Chong Guang's departing figure, she began to suspect that her father's death might be related to him. Xuan Zhen discovered that some new ingredients had been added to Yuan Beichen's medication, which triggered her to question Lu Jianchuan. However, Lu Jianchuan denied any involvement. Just then, Murong Ce returned, and Murong Changfeng didn’t say much more—rescuing Yuan Beichen was now the priority.

Zi Ying, under orders, specially brought a luxurious outfit for Feng Lixue but refused to explain its purpose. Mo Xiao, meanwhile, was blending in with the crowd, secretly watching everything. Chong Guang waited until Feng Lixue arrived. Wushuang demanded punishment for Feng Lixue and urged Chong Guang not to show favoritism, insisting that she be thrown into the Demon Abyss as a spirit sacrifice.

But Chong Guang ignored Wushuang's words and instead publicly declared that from that day forward, Feng Lixue would be the Imperial Consort. Everyone was shocked, but they raised their cups to congratulate them. Feng Lixue spotted Mo Xiao among the crowd, and as he turned to leave, it felt like he was taking her heart with him. Chong Guang then asked Wushuang if she also wanted to send the Imperial Consort into the Demon Abyss, leaving Wushuang speechless.

Feng Lixue hurriedly chased after Mo Xiao. Mo Xiao asked if she refused to leave with him because she wanted to become the Imperial Consort. Feng Lixue didn’t explain, only saying that becoming the Imperial Consort was the only way to uncover the truth behind her father’s murder. She also reminded Mo Xiao that he was the young master of Shushan and bore the responsibility of protecting the world.

The two of them ultimately had different paths, and Mo Xiao had his own mission to fulfill. Ji Xingluo caught up with Feng Lixue and discussed why Chong Guang insisted on marrying her. As the master of the Desire Demon Stone, Chong Guang could not harbor love or desire, or he would suffer magical backlash. But Feng Lixue was the only one in the world who could help him find the third Sacred Stone.

Wushuang believed that Chong Guang's motive was to keep Feng Lixue by his side—but he couldn’t truly fall in love with her. Nevertheless, Wushuang had already decided that whether or not Chong Guang truly had feelings, she would make sure he “fulfilled his desire. ”Chang Ming, under Feng Lixue’s orders, went to find Mo Xiao and informed him that the Rootless Flower was in his small bamboo courtyard.

Mo Xiao arrived, noticed that the place was protected by formations, and after breaking through them, quickly retrieved the Rootless Flower. However, he soon felt dizzy and collapsed just as he left. Po Yun had no choice but to carry him back. Feng Lixue learned that Mo Xiao's condition had worsened. Po Yun suggested healing at the Longqiu Spring, which might be more effective—but it was Wushuang’s territory, and Feng Lixue feared she wouldn't allow it.

Po Yun advised her to seek Tianxin’s help. With Tianxin’s assistance, Feng Lixue obtained a token and brought Mo Xiao to Longqiu Spring. Upon hearing that Chong Guang had gone to the Shaohao Palace, she rushed back. Chong Guang brought rare items for her, hoping she would like them, and even offered to tailor clothes for her. Feng Lixue quickly knelt down, begging Chong Guang to revoke the marriage order, believing it was only issued to protect her.

At that moment, Wushuang delivered the White Phoenix Brocade, a wedding gift specially sent from Night Abyss to Wushuang. Chong Guang accepted the robe and again pointed out that he knew Feng Lixue rejected him because of Mo Xiao. But he also reminded her that the people’s expectations could not be disappointed. Feng Lixue realized that if she didn’t marry Chong Guang, he would definitely not let Mo Xiao go.

The reason Wushuang sent the White Phoenix Brocade was because she had tampered with it. On the wedding day, regardless of whether Chong Guang had feelings for Feng Lixue, the robe would ultimately cause magical backlash. Wushuang ordered Tianxin to bring Xuyuan Yunchao out to help prepare for the wedding. Xuyuan Yunchao felt uneasy upon learning that Feng Lixue had agreed to become the Imperial Consort.

He went to question her, asking why she would marry someone she didn’t love and urging her not to go through with it. He promised he would find a way to convince Chong Guang to cancel the wedding. After Po Yun left, he too expressed his feelings and didn't want Feng Lixue to sacrifice herself, no matter the reason. But Feng Lixue only asked him to take care of Mo Xiao and ensure he left the place safely.

Po Yun went to find Mo Xiao and pleaded with him to take Feng Lixue away. He didn’t want her to do something that made her unhappy but also feared she would become the subject of public scorn. Mo Xiao promised that he would take Feng Lixue away and protect her from harm. Po Yun was grateful and agreed to help Mo Xiao relay a message to Xie Lingyun.

Xie Lingyun was also worried about Mo Xiao but had no solution, so he decided to investigate himself. Just then, Hualang appeared and guided him to meet Po Yun. Po Yun handed over the antidote made from the Rootless Flower, asking him to bring it back. Xie Lingyun arranged for Zimu to deliver the antidote, while he and the others waited at the foot of Mount Suyu to receive Mo Xiao.
