The Minghuang Sect sent over a set of ceremonial attire for the future Empress. Chong Guang was quite satisfied with it. When he saw Feng Lixue approaching, he insisted that she try on the Hundred Phoenix Brocade. Noticing her reluctance, Chong Guang deliberately took Feng Lixue’s hand and reminded her that starting tomorrow, she would be the Empress. He then brought out the Demon Mirror, intending to conduct another heart-probing ritual.

Feng Lixue spotted Mo Xiao, disguised as a guard from the Demon City, not far away. She objected to the ritual and questioned whether Chong Guang himself could truly control his heart. Chong Guang’s expression changed noticeably but he quickly composed himself and ordered for Feng Lixue to be dressed in the ceremonial attire. Feng Lixue took Mo Xiao, who was carrying the Hundred Phoenix Brocade, to the back to change.

Mo Xiao pressed Feng Lixue about whether the figure she saw during the last Demon Mirror ritual was him. Feng Lixue admitted it was. When he asked why she wouldn’t leave with him, Feng Lixue replied that not everyone follows their heart. Many have responsibilities and missions that force them to live against their will.

Knowing that if Feng Lixue became the Empress there would be no turning back, Mo Xiao said he would rather risk his life than let that happen. He invited her to leave with him again, but Feng Lixue refused once more. Chong Guang waited for Feng Lixue to emerge in the Hundred Phoenix Brocade. He was very pleased with her appearance as the Empress. Taking her hand, he praised her beauty and stared at her without blinking.

Suddenly, he tried to kiss her. Feng Lixue instinctively dodged, but Chong Guang pulled her close. Just then, both of them were influenced by the Q Desires. Feng Lixue mistook Chong Guang for Mo Xiao and began calling out Mo Xiao’s name repeatedly. Chong Guang gradually snapped out of it and, noticing something strange about the attire, guessed it was poisoned. As Feng Lixue leaned closer, he pushed her away.

At that moment, Mo Xiao struck and knocked Chong Guang down, taking Feng Lixue with him. Po Yun, waiting outside, came to assist them. Mo Xiao used his spiritual power to transfer the poison from Feng Lixue onto himself. Overcome with emotion, the two kissed. Feng Lixue thanked Mo Xiao for arriving in time, allowing her to hold him once more. Chong Guang sat on a chair, smiling as he saw Feng Lixue approaching.

But upon closer look, he realized it was Zi Ying. His smile faded immediately. Zi Ying knelt before Chong Guang and volunteered to become the vessel to nourish the Ice Silkworm, pleading with him not to marry Feng Lixue. In response, Chong Guang slapped her away and warned her that if she dared to speak another word, he would take her life. Xuyuan Yunchao heard that Feng Lixue was recovering by the spring and brought clothes for her.

But upon seeing her with Mo Xiao, he didn’t go in. Instead, he left the clothes at the door and said he didn’t like owing others — now they were even. Before leaving, he reminded Feng Lixue that Chong Guang was looking everywhere for her. Feng Lixue and Mo Xiao tried to escape together, pursued by demonic soldiers. Feng Lixue wanted to use the Ice Technique, but Mo Xiao stopped her, fearing she would suffer backlash.

Chong Guang captured Po Yun, but Po Yun refused to reveal Feng Lixue’s whereabouts. Rather than killing him, Chong Guang sent him back to Shaohao Palace, intending to show Feng Lixue how he treats those loyal to her. Minghuang believed that the backlash from desire would bring Chong Guang immense suffering. Ji Xingluo wanted to join forces with Wushuang to confront Chong Guang, but Minghuang, wary of Chong Guang’s strength, declined to go with them.

As Mo Xiao and Feng Lixue fled together, Mo Xiao suddenly lost strength, sweat beading on his forehead. Feng Lixue helped him sit down to rest. Mo Xiao hoped to take her to Mount Shu, the only place Chong Guang didn’t dare to go. But Feng Lixue didn’t want to. She longed for a place free of good and evil, where the two of them could live in peace.

Mo Xiao agreed, saying even a single day would be enough, even if he had to give up being the young master of Mount Shu. But such a place didn’t exist in this world. Then Feng Lixue took out a blue pearl and brought Mo Xiao into another world. It was a world created by an ancient seclusion spirit pearl, filled with peace and serenity. Mo Xiao’s wounds healed completely here.

Feng Lixue revealed that Feng Xingtian had given her the pearl so that if the human world could no longer accept her, she could hide in this created realm. Feng Lixue admitted she had been wrong, had hated the wrong person, and said that if one day they could truly escape the world, she hoped to be with Mo Xiao. Mo Xiao embraced her, grateful for the second chance.

In this place, there were no factions of good and evil — only the two of them. Even one day together was enough. Murong Jing, through the bell of the treasure tower, saw Mo Xiao and Feng Lixue escape. Fearing the sect leader would find out, she and another hurriedly sent a message back to Mount Shu, falsely claiming that Mo Xiao had gone to Peach Blossom Dock to seek treatment from Shi Bujio.

Mo Xiao was still worried about Yuan Beichen. Feng Lixue advised him to forget everything for now and enjoy this time of seclusion. Mo Xiao realized his mistake and smiled in agreement. The medicine Mo Xiao sent back was indeed the antidote to the rootless flower, but Yuan Beichen was already deeply poisoned, so it couldn’t be cured quickly.

As everyone worried about Mo Xiao, Xie Lingyun sent back false news to reassure them, claiming Mo Xiao had gone to Peach Blossom Dock to recuperate. Everyone was relieved. Lu Jianchuan visited Murong Changfeng, saying he wanted to go check on Mo Xiao. Murong Changfeng agreed and praised Lu Jianchuan’s abilities, saying that if not for Mo Xiao, the position of young master would have gone to him.

In the illusory world, Mo Xiao and Feng Lixue ran around and played in a small courtyard. But Mo Xiao suddenly noticed signs that someone else had been there. Feng Lixue guessed it might be the original owner of the spirit pearl. Mo Xiao speculated about where the owner might have gone, but Feng Lixue wasn’t eager to know. Her mindset now was: take things as they come.

Xie Lingyun suspected someone would check on Shi Bujio, so he and Murong Jing hurried to Peach Blossom Dock to respond. Meanwhile, Wushuang and Ji Xingluo went to find the Wuyan Stone but were discovered by Chong Guang. He didn’t understand why Wushuang was ungrateful and kept opposing him. Wushuang made no effort to hide her feelings. She blamed Chong Guang for instigating Ye Yuan back then, leading to Ye Yuan’s death, and for the disappearance of her child. She was determined to settle all accounts with Chong Guang.
