Xuyuan Wushuang admitted that she was indeed trying to find her real son—he was the bloodline of Ye Yuan, the true demon lord. The current Chong Guang was nothing more than an impostor who had usurped the rightful place. Wushuang believed the third stone must be on Mo Xiao, which was why he could move freely within the Abyss of Demons and even take people from Shushan with him, yet Chong Guang never killed him.

Chong Guang didn’t deny her words and could also see that her hatred stemmed from his failure to avenge Ye Yuan. He promised that he would take revenge for Ye Yuan and help her find Ye Yuan’s true heir. Upon hearing this, Wushuang nearly broke down, already aware that Chong Guang knew the child’s whereabouts but refused to reveal it. She tore at his robes in desperation, demanding he tell her.

Chong Guang only said that to achieve great things, one must remain calm, and that Mount Suyu was never his ultimate goal—he would leave eventually. He then ordered Chang Ming to escort Wushuang back to the palace and threw Ji Xingluo into prison. In the illusory world, Mo Xiao and Feng Lixue changed into commoner clothes and joyfully spent a peaceful day together.

Murong Jing and Xie Lingyun brought the finest wine to Shi Bujie, delighting him into cooperating with their plan to fool Lu Jianchuan. Shi Bujie wrapped Xie Lingyun entirely in bandages like a zongzi and claimed that Mo Xiao’s condition was still poor, with no clear date of recovery.

Lu Jianchuan wanted to ask more questions to report back, but under Murong Jing’s persuasion, Shi Bujie reluctantly agreed to let him take a glance from afar, warning not to get close. Seeing “Mo Xiao” in such a bad state, Lu Jianchuan secretly handed Shi Bujie a Heavenly Sun Herb and inquired how to cure the deep-rooted Wugenhua poison. Shi Bujie stated it would take forty-nine days and, when asked about curing demonic poison, simply replied that it was incurable.

Lu Jianchuan rushed out, forcibly suppressing the demonic poison surging within him, hoping to recover before Yuan Beichen or Mo Xiao returned, so no one would notice he had been poisoned. After Lu Jianchuan left, Shi Bujie unwrapped the bandages from Xie Lingyun and departed, confident that Lu Jianchuan wouldn’t return. Meanwhile, Chong Guang still couldn’t locate any trace of Feng Lixue and, sensing nothing, ordered Chang Ming to continue the search.

In the illusory world, Feng Lixue’s Bingqing Gu began to act up again, causing pain in her chest. Mo Xiao’s token also made a sound, but both chose to ignore it, treasuring the rare time they had together. Feng Lixue gently touched his face, reminding him that the time had come—they had to return and do what they must. As the illusory world began to dissolve, Mo Xiao passed out. Feng Lixue held him, weeping, reminiscing about the blissful days they had just shared, her heart breaking. Even in unconsciousness, Mo Xiao kept calling Feng Lixue’s name. Meanwhile, Feng Lixue had already returned to Mount Suyu.

Hua Lang, unable to wake Mo Xiao, flew off to seek help from Xie Lingyun. Murong Jing was also worried that Yuan Beichen and others would come soon to check on Mo Xiao. She hurried to locate him and saw off Shi Bujie, who was reluctant to leave. Murong Jing promised him fine wine in the future, but Shi Bujie only asked for Nu’er Hong. At that moment, Zi Su and the others arrived.

Xie Lingyun truthfully told them about Mo Xiao’s condition. Just as he finished speaking, Hua Lang arrived, and they all followed him to the unconscious Mo Xiao. Zi Su examined him and found he was merely drugged, with no major issues. She questioned Xie Lingyun about whether Mo Xiao had gone to Mount Suyu. Xie Lingyun admitted it, but said the rest would have to wait until Mo Xiao woke up.
