Feng Lixue returned to the Shaohao Palace and was deeply pained to see Po Yun injured from the beating. Po Yun blamed Feng Lixue for coming back, saying she should have left with Mo Xiao to live a good life.

At this moment, Zi Ying brought her new Empress attire and revealed that Chong Guang wanted to marry Feng Lixue not because he liked her, but because she had an Ice Clear Gu inside her, which needed to merge with the Ice Clear Gu in Chong Guang’s body to unleash its full power. Feng Lixue recalled that when she was a child, Feng Xingtian had made her eat something, claiming it was the key to preserving her life.

Ji Xingluo was imprisoned, and Wu Chen specifically came to visit her. Ji Xingluo was unhappy that they had stolen something together, but Wu Chen was unharmed. Yuan Beichen highly valued Mo Xiao and hoped he could become the sect leader, but Murong Changfeng believed Mo Xiao still needed more training. Mo Xiao suddenly disappeared, and everyone searched for him in vain.

Xie Lingyun suddenly remembered a place Mo Xiao might go and led Zi Su, Murong Jing, and others to search for him. At that moment, Mo Xiao was sitting cross-legged in the illusory world, repeatedly thinking of his moments with Feng Lixue. Xie Lingyun, seeing Mo Xiao in this state, went over to sit beside him and inquired about Feng Lixue.

Mo Xiao collected many building materials and then locked himself in a barrier, forbidding Xie Lingyun and the others from entering. While they were worried, Mo Xiao eventually removed the barrier, revealing that he had built a home where he and Feng Lixue could be together. It was the only thing he could do for her—to give her a home. Mo Xiao then led Xie Lingyun and the others back to Shushan.

Feng Lixue came to find Chong Guang again and requested to return home, to become the leader of the Tianxing Sect. Chong Guang gave her a Forgetfulness Gu, promising that if she drank it, she could leave, but if she didn’t, she would have to obey him and be his Empress, without any further desires. Drinking the Forgetfulness Gu meant she would forget Mo Xiao. After a painful struggle, Feng Lixue chose to drink the potion.

Chong Guang’s eyes reddened, tears falling involuntarily, and he allowed Feng Lixue to leave, no longer the Star Lord of Shaohao Palace, but instead the Deputy Leader of the Tianxing Sect. After returning, Feng Lixue told Po Yun the news. Po Yun, overjoyed, quickly gathered his subordinates. Alone, Feng Lixue repeatedly thought of her time with Mo Xiao. Her heart ached, and she constantly reminded herself not to forget Mo Xiao.

Keeping him in her heart was her only comfort in this life. Feng Lixue activated her cultivation, forcing the Forgetfulness Gu to merge with the Ice Clear Gu, but she spat out blood and fainted from exhaustion. Chong Guang immediately sensed something was wrong with the Ice Clear Gu and rushed over to take Feng Lixue away, intending to treat her. When Feng Lixue woke up, she wished that Chong Guang had never met her and would completely forget her.

She believed she could neither hate nor love Chong Guang, and their master-disciple bond ended there. Chong Guang, furious, decided to fulfill Feng Lixue’s wish by taking back all the demonic powers he had granted her. From that point on, they would have nothing to do with each other. Feng Lixue screamed in agony as the demonic powers were extracted from her. Chong Guang ordered Feng Lixue to be expelled from Mount Suyu, severing all ties with the mountain.

Po Yun carried Feng Lixue away from Mount Suyu. Chong Guang lay there, disheartened and unmoving. It was the first time Chang Ming had seen him like this and reminded him not to forget the greater goal. Chong Guang closed his eyes in pain. Mo Xiao returned to Shushan, where Xie Tianjun noted that Yuan Beichen was recovering, and Mo Xiao had returned. He suggested a celebration.

Yuan Beichen proposed that during the annual Immortal Sect Conference, he would pass the leadership of Shushan to Mo Xiao. Xie Tianjun was pleased, even considering giving the position to Xie Lingyun so he could enjoy a carefree life. Yuan Beichen believed Mo Xiao had the ability to lead Shushan against Chong Guang, fearing that Chong Guang might bring the Asura Clan to cause chaos just like Ye Yuan did.

Mo Xiao, as Feng Yue’s disciple, was widely supported and could stop Chong Guang’s ambitions. The others did not speak further. Yuan Beichen later called Mo Xiao into a private room, while Murong Changfeng privately praised Lu Jianchuan’s abilities, saying he had high hopes for him and recommending he read more books. Murong Ce did not believe that Mo Xiao was truly ill. He secretly asked Murong Jing, who, under pressure, revealed the truth.

She also hoped Murong Ce wouldn’t spread the news. Since Feng Lixue left, Mo Xiao had been despondent for three days before finally recovering. Murong Ce hoped Mo Xiao could truly focus and be ready to take on the responsibilities of the sect leader.
