The heads of the immortal sects all blamed Mo Xiao for the mistakes. Murong Changfeng also shifted the blame onto Mo Xiao, only criticizing the others for causing trouble at Mount Shu, and promising that Mount Shu would punish Mo Xiao accordingly. The heads of the sects agreed with Murong Changfeng's words, and Yuan Beichen had no way to refute it.

At that moment, Mo Xiao, dragging his injured body, arrived and expressed his willingness to bear all the blame, vowing to perform the spirit-sending ritual using only his physical body, without any immortal arts. Feng Lixue woke up to find Chong Guang right in front of her and realized that he had not removed the demonic energy from her body. She placed all her resentment onto Chong Guang and questioned him as to why he treated her like this.

Chong Guang, however, believed that hatred could reshape a person, just as love could destroy one. Just as he had reshaped Feng Lixue once before, he did not mind reshaping her again now. Xuan Qing felt that Mo Xiao’s body was too weak to perform the spirit-sending ritual physically. But Mo Xiao believed that if doing so could dispel everyone's resentment and unite the sects, he would not care about anything else.

Yuan Beichen asked Mo Xiao if he did not feel wronged by being slandered, but Mo Xiao stated that if it could crush Chong Guang's schemes, he would gladly die a thousand deaths. Chong Guang activated three demonic stones to absorb energy. At the same time, Feng Lixue sought out Zi Ying to discuss a deal.

Feng Lixue offered the Ice Qing Fu within her body as bargaining chips and understood that Zi Ying most wished for her death, so that she could replace her as the most important person to Chong Guang. Zi Ying expressed distrust toward Feng Lixue. In response, Feng Lixue placed a dagger in Zi Ying’s hand and guided her to stab herself in the chest.

Just as Zi Ying was feeling triumphant, Chong Guang suddenly arrived, saw Zi Ying trying to kill Feng Lixue, and struck Zi Ying with a palm, severely injuring her. However, Chong Guang did not even spare Zi Ying a glance and took Feng Lixue away with him. Chong Guang tried to save Feng Lixue with his own cultivation. Chang Ming reminded him that doing so would cost him the chance to acquire Wushuang’s demonic power.

However, Chong Guang ignored him and infused Feng Lixue’s body with the supreme demonic power of the three sacred stones, willing to destroy his long-cherished dream just to save Feng Lixue. Seeing that Feng Lixue was out of danger, Chong Guang asked Chang Ming to send her back to rest while he himself went into seclusion to cultivate. Xuyuan Yunchao reported to Wushuang that her brother might be Xie Lingyun.

However, Xie Lingyun did not have the Heavenly Demon Mark on his body, and his personality was far from what Wushuang had expected. Wushuang ordered Xuyuan Yunchao to continue investigating. If it turned out to be true, then Xie Lingyun would have only one identity: the bloodline of Night Abyss. Chong Guang, after secluding himself and cultivating the three demonic stones, finally obtained the Thousand Years Token.

Meanwhile, Mo Xiao at Mount Shu was preparing to perform the spirit-sending ritual for the departed souls. Everyone had already arrived, but Mo Xiao was late. The others criticized him for being irresponsible, but Xie Lingyun thought Mo Xiao had it too hard, and his body was too weak. Xie Lingyun had drugged Mo Xiao's tea the previous day to prevent him from coming, intending to replace him in the spirit-sending ritual.

At that moment, however, Mo Xiao suddenly appeared, and a faint, almost unnoticeable smile appeared at the corner of Murong Changfeng's mouth. Mo Xiao flew to the center of the altar and sat down, activating the spirit-sending formation. The souls flew about unwillingly, blaming Mo Xiao for causing their deaths and questioning why he betrayed them. During this time, Lu Jianchuan quietly left while everyone was distracted.

Murong Jing also left immediately after him, and Murong Changfeng, standing below the altar, noticed it. Lu Jianchuan went to an isolated place to manipulate the spirits to attack Mo Xiao. Mo Xiao struggled against the spirits tearing at him, and the demonic nature within his body began to spread. Lu Jianchuan released even more demonic energy into Mo Xiao’s body.

Mo Xiao’s eyes glowed red as he stared at everyone, a sinister smile curling at his lips, terrifying everyone present. Suddenly, Mo Xiao recalled the words of Sword Sovereign Feng Yue, reminding him that no matter where he was, as long as his heart remained righteous, he would be righteous. For a moment, Mo Xiao lost focus and cried out for his master. However, he soon lost control again and burst into maniacal laughter.

Murong Jing saw Lu Jianchuan sitting there and went over to confront him. Lu Jianchuan fled in panic, leaving behind a Soul Crossing Spell on the ground. Xuan Qing and Yuan Beichen noticed Mo Xiao's abnormal state and flew over to take him away. Murong Changfeng and Xie Tianjun hurriedly calmed the crowd, urging them not to act rashly. Murong Jing remembered having seen the Soul Crossing Spell before in her father's room.

At that time, her father had explained that the spell was meant to dispel evil spirits and that those with low spiritual power should not look at it. The sects accused Yuan Beichen of shielding Mo Xiao and collectively put pressure on him. Murong Changfeng was also dissatisfied with Mo Xiao’s behavior.

However, Xuan Qing stood up to defend Mo Xiao, arguing that since Mo Xiao had absorbed demonic energy while purifying it from others, it was natural for some to leak out. But the others remained unconvinced. Murong Changfeng had to step forward to urge everyone not to cause chaos and proposed using the Demon Subduing Palace’s methods to test whether Mo Xiao was truly demonic.

Xuan Qing argued that the Demon Subduing Palace was built to deal with monsters and demons and should not be used on Mo Xiao. Seeing the argument escalate, Yuan Beichen agreed to let Mo Xiao go to the Demon Subduing Palace. Feng Lixue awoke dressed in bridal attire but looked vacant and dazed. Chong Guang was furious and questioned Chang Ming about what he had done.

Fearing that Feng Lixue might harm Chong Guang, Chang Ming had placed a Puppet Spell on her. Chong Guang understood Chang Ming’s loyalty, but warned that he would not forgive anyone who harmed Feng Lixue. Chang Ming accepted the punishment and offered to hand over the Ice Qing Fu and go to the Demon Prison to atone for his sins. However, Chong Guang ignored his request and warned him that if it happened again, he would take his life.

Chong Guang then brought Feng Lixue before everyone, announcing that she would soon become the Empress of the Demonic Realm. He also declared that the Thousand Years Token had reappeared in the world and that he would let everyone witness the grand ceremony of Feng Lixue’s coronation.
