Chong Guang brought Feng Lixue, dressed in splendid attire, to the highest point of the Abyss of the Demon Lords and announced that Feng Lixue was about to become the Queen of the Demon Lords. At the same time, he had Chang Ming present the Thousand Years Token. At first, Xuyuan Wushuang was a little shocked, but when she saw Chong Guang fail multiple times to command the Demon Soldiers, she finally let out a relieved laugh.

Standing beside him, Feng Lixue also muttered the word "failed" with a blank expression. Chong Guang admitted it was a bit awkward, but he said the best way to dissolve the awkwardness was to find a way to activate the Thousand Years Token, a method he already had in mind. Afterward, Chong Guang went into the Abyss of the Demon Lords to find Tu Shuo, who had been imprisoned there years ago for opposing Chong Guang's succession as the supreme ruler.

The demonic spirits released by Tu Shuo could not harm Chong Guang. Chong Guang learned from Tu Shuo that it was all part of Yeyan's plan. Years ago, after Yeyan's plan failed, he heard a baby's cry at the foot of Buzhou Mountain, realizing his child had been born. Thus, Yeyan handed the asura clan over to Chong Guang, hoping he would use his power to reconstruct the Thousand Years Token.

However, only Yeyan's biological son could truly summon the Demon Army, meaning Chong Guang would have to work for someone else to achieve his ambition. Chong Guang had already guessed that the child of Yeyan was Mo Xiao. As Mo Xiao’s demonic nature flared up, Xuan Zhen also realized his identity, and Yuan Beichen could no longer hide the truth. Xuyuan Yunchao also deduced that Mo Xiao was Yeyan's son.

He reasoned that among those present when the Demon-Dispelling Array was activated, it wasn't only Xie Lingyun but also Mo Xiao. This time, Chong Guang failed to activate it precisely because Mo Xiao was absent. Chong Guang played the zither for Feng Lixue, but she recalled her memories with Mo Xiao, causing an emotional reaction. When Chang Ming reported that Mo Xiao was about to enter the Suppressing Demon Palace, Feng Lixue became even more agitated.

Chong Guang hurriedly held her protectively. Mo Xiao had long doubted his own identity and why he harbored so much demonic energy. Although Yuan Beichen had explained that he was only wounded by demonic energy, Mo Xiao remained suspicious. After regaining his senses, Mo Xiao knelt before Yuan Beichen, deeply remorseful. Yuan Beichen reminded him to remember the master's dying wish: to stay true to his heart.

Whether Mo Xiao could survive the Suppressing Demon Palace would depend on the firmness of his heart. Yuan Beichen instructed Xuan Zhen that no matter what happened, she must prioritize protecting herself and not intervene for Mo Xiao, because whether or not he was of demonic blood, Mo Xiao could not be allowed to fall. Mo Xiao arrived outside the Suppressing Demon Palace, with everyone waiting outside. After bowing to Yuan Beichen, he entered.

Everyone respectfully stated they would wait for his return. Meanwhile, Xuyuan Wushuang and Chong Guang also came to the Suppressing Demon Palace with Feng Lixue and Xuyuan Yunchao. Xuyuan Wushuang blamed Chong Guang for keeping secrets from her for years. Chong Guang said he could help rescue Mo Xiao, but Xuyuan Wushuang insisted on saving her son herself. Inside the Suppressing Demon Palace, Mo Xiao suddenly opened his eyes and declared that such an array could not trap him.

He fiercely attacked the array. Fengyue appeared before him again, reminding him that as long as his heart was righteous, he had nothing to fear. Mo Xiao once more began refining the demonic energy within him. Outside, everyone was growing increasingly anxious. Suddenly, a mass of black mist emerged from the palace, and Mo Xiao appeared. Everyone rejoiced, thinking he had overcome it. But on closer look, a glowing mark appeared on Mo Xiao's forehead.

Lu Jianchuan immediately accused Mo Xiao of becoming a demon and attacked first but was struck down instead. At that moment, Xuyuan Wushuang flew over, recognizing the mark as the Heaven Demon Seal—it was indeed her son. Murong Changfeng immediately ordered Mo Xiao’s capture. To protect her son, Xuyuan Wushuang fought the disciples of Shushan with all her might. Murong Changfeng drew his sword against her.

Mo Xiao, unwilling to believe he was a demon, roared in anger but suddenly soared into the sky. Yuan Beichen grabbed Mo Xiao’s foot, urging him to remember that he was the heir of the Sword Sovereign. However, Chong Guang coaxed Yuan Beichen to stop pretending—Mo Xiao was indeed the descendant of the demon. Mo Xiao roared again, shaking off Yuan Beichen. Yuan Beichen shouted desperately for Mo Xiao to resist his demonic transformation.

Mo Xiao tried to suppress the demonic energy using the Fengyue Sword. Chong Guang ordered Feng Lixue to seize the sword. Distracted by his fear of hurting Feng Lixue, Mo Xiao was caught off guard. Chong Guang and Feng Lixue snatched the Fengyue Sword together. Murong Changfeng tried to continue the pursuit, but Mo Xiao, fearing he would harm the Shushan disciples, fled. Murong Changfeng pursued relentlessly.

Yuan Beichen hoped Xuan Zhen would protect Mo Xiao, but Xuan Zhen was focused only on Yuan Beichen’s safety. Meanwhile, Lu Jianchuan, who led others in chasing Mo Xiao, had already succumbed to his own demonic nature. When his fellow disciples noticed, Lu Jianchuan, afraid of being exposed, killed them all. Mo Xiao, enraged, seized Lu Jianchuan by the neck, accusing him of murdering his comrades.

Xie Lingyun and others arrived and, seeing this scene, mistakenly believed that Mo Xiao had killed his fellow disciples. Murong Changfeng ordered the formation to execute Mo Xiao. A golden light shot toward Mo Xiao, but Xie Lingyun broke through the sword formation and stabbed Mo Xiao in the chest. Mo Xiao, bleeding from his mouth, could not believe that Xie Lingyun had attacked him. Memories of their past flooded his mind.

Heartbroken, he saw Xie Lingyun in tears, believing Mo Xiao had turned into a demon and could not stand by while Mo Xiao slaughtered his comrades. Mo Xiao tried to explain that he had not killed them.
