Destiny and Saving Episode 34 Recap
> Destiny and Saving Recap
Shi Bujiu revived Mo Xiao and realized that Mo Xiao had not actually died—he simply refused to wake up. Shi Bujiu cleared the resentment and turbid energy within Mo Xiao's body, allowing him to awaken. Shi Bujiu had long heard about the events at Mount Shu, which led him to search everywhere for Mo Xiao. He sealed Mo Xiao's spiritual and demonic energy so that no one could locate him. Now, no one could find Mo Xiao anymore.
Shi Bujiu demanded that Mo Xiao stay in the fishing village to recover, reassuring him that those people would not come after him here. However, Mo Xiao wept, recalling everything that had happened. After cultivating for eighteen years, he had discovered he was of demonic blood. He even wanted to kill himself, but unexpectedly, Shi Bujiu had saved him. Mo Xiao opened the door and saw the villagers standing outside, all wearing fearful expressions.
Mo Xiao gave a bitter smile, never having imagined that people could fear him so much. He walked into the crowd, asking them to beat him or kill him, promising that if they killed him, they would obtain cultivation techniques, and he would not fight back. Mo Xiao loudly declared that he was the son of the demon lord, seeking death with all his heart. Among the crowd, the clan leader struck Mo Xiao with a palm, sending him flying.
Mo Xiao spat blood and collapsed to the ground. An old Daoist approached him, but Mo Xiao still looked half-dead. The clan leader raised his cane to strike again but was stopped by Shi Bujiu. Shi Bujiu reproached the Little Hammer Clan Leader, saying he should not have struck Mo Xiao and demanded compensation. Shi Bujiu was originally the Elder Wuxin here.
The Little Hammer Clan Leader believed Mo Xiao carried demonic energy and that the fishing village could not keep him. He ordered that Mo Xiao be thrown into the Lishui River. Enraged, Shi Bujiu stomped his feet and scolded the Little Hammer Clan Leader for abandoning someone in need.
Shi Bujiu reminded him that he had once protected him when he was being chased, enabling him to become the clan leader today, but the Little Hammer Clan Leader turned a deaf ear. After hearing about the son of Night Abyss, the Four Great Sect Masters came together to see Chong Guang. The Seven Caves and Nine Netherworlds had received a letter from Xuyuan Wushuang asking them to help find Mo Xiao.
Everyone gathered to ask Chong Guang whether they should search for him. Chong Guang publicly stated that Mo Xiao should indeed be brought back. Someone reminded Chong Guang that if Mo Xiao returned, his position would be threatened and suggested that Chong Guang activate the Heavenly Demon Token so he would remain their lord.
Chong Guang understood their real intention—although they seemed to seek advice, they had already made up their minds: whoever could activate the Heavenly Demon Token would become the sovereign. Chong Guang reminded everyone that Mo Xiao was the disciple of the Sword Sovereign of Wind and Moon. Though Mo Xiao could activate the Heavenly Demon Token, it did not mean he would lead them to seize the Thousand Years Token.
Chong Guang showed everyone a scene in the dark mirror where he once captured the Thousand Years Token, reminding them that only he could seize it. Immediately, everyone bowed and pledged loyalty to Chong Guang. Xuyuan Yunchao came to find Feng Lixue, revealing that Mo Xiao was the true son of Night Abyss. He was unsure if Mo Xiao would come upon hearing about Feng Lixue’s wedding, but Feng Lixue remained expressionless.
At that moment, Chong Guang arrived, remarking that Xuyuan Yunchao should be at home accompanying Wushuang instead of visiting Feng Lixue. He also told Xuyuan Yunchao that he had already announced his wedding to Feng Lixue to the entire world. If Mo Xiao was still alive, he would surely return; this was his ploy to lure Mo Xiao back.
After Xuyuan Yunchao left, Chong Guang noticed that Feng Lixue’s hand, which was pouring water, had not stopped, and the water had overflowed. Chong Guang gently held Feng Lixue’s hand and placed the Wind Moon Sword before her, entrusting her to keep it safe until Mo Xiao returned so that they could return the sword to him together. Shi Bujiu rescued Mo Xiao from the river again and scolded the Little Hammer Clan Leader once more.
The Little Hammer Clan Leader persuaded Shi Bujiu and Mo Xiao to stay and see how the villagers struggled to survive. Mo Xiao walked through the fishing village, watching everyone work together daily to transport stones. Due to the undercurrents in the Lishui River, the Little Hammer Clan Leader feared that one day the village might be submerged. As descendants of the Nuwa Clan, they had to plan ahead.
Several men were hauling a giant rock upward when a child came below to deliver water to his father. Suddenly, the rope snapped, and the giant rock fell. Everyone panicked, but the Little Hammer Clan Leader remained calm, believing that Mo Xiao would save the child—and sure enough, Mo Xiao intercepted the rock and rescued the child.
The Little Hammer Clan Leader deliberately made Mo Xiao do hard labor in the village, believing that physical hardship was far better than suffering of the heart. Mo Xiao worked alongside everyone but sat alone during meals. By accident, he overheard the villagers discussing Chong Guang and Feng Lixue’s wedding. Upon hearing this, Mo Xiao quickly left. Feng Lixue, dressed in the crimson robes of the Empress Consort, appeared before Mo Xiao.
Mo Xiao, with Feng Lixue by his side, stood atop the Grand Hall of the Heavenly Demon Clan, ordering three days of celebratory drinking to honor the demon lord’s wedding. Wushuang could not sleep through the night, knowing that Chong Guang’s wedding was merely a trap to lure Mo Xiao back. She resolved to wait for Mo Xiao’s return. Chong Guang suddenly asked Feng Lixue whether she was happy at that moment. Feng Lixue remained expressionless.
Chong Guang, excited, gripped Feng Lixue’s hand and asked again loudly, causing the dancers to stop and look at them. Chong Guang begged Feng Lixue to wake up and speak to him. It was the happiest night of his life, but Feng Lixue remained dazed. Chong Guang did not want Feng Lixue to become his puppet; he wanted her to be his beloved.
Seeing her remain unresponsive, he tried to force a kiss on Feng Lixue, but the backlash caused a sharp pain in his chest. Even so, Chong Guang still pursued his dream of happiness. He believed that once the Iceclear Silkworm merged and he harnessed the power of the Three Sacred Stones, he could overcome the backlash. Yet the pain tormented Chong Guang greatly. Meanwhile, Mo Xiao floated lanterns on the river, recalling his joyful days with Feng Lixue.
The intense pain in his wrist reminded him that he was also the Sect Leader of Mount Shu. When Shi Bujiu realized Mo Xiao had disappeared, he searched all night. Eventually, he found Mo Xiao passed out by the riverside. Shi Bujiu revived him again and noticed that Mo Xiao had been crying. Thinking that Mo Xiao had learned of Yuan Beichen’s death, Shi Bujiu consoled him, saying that the dead could not return.
Upon hearing about Yuan Beichen’s death, Mo Xiao was shocked. He learned that the new Sect Leader was Murong Jing’s elder brother, Murong Changfeng, who intended to throw Yuan Beichen’s corpse into Ghost Soul Valley and demanded all disciples of Mount Shu to stand vigil there. Mo Xiao flew off at once.
Xie Tianjun wanted to seek justice for Yuan Beichen from Murong Changfeng, but Xuan Zhen opposed him, telling Xie Tianjun that Yuan Beichen had forbidden them from standing up for him.
