Wen Liangyu was dancing in the palace when a stranger suddenly broke in. Yu Heng told her that Wen Liangyu had disappeared and the emperor had sent him to protect the princesses from other countries. Yu Heng told Chu Jinghong that the emperor and empress really wanted to kill her, but they didn't act on it before because they were afraid of Yu Longyuan.
Chu Jinghong felt that as long as there was still fear, she would be safe. Yu Heng said that Yu Longyuan couldn't come back, and on the battlefield, swords have no eyes. Chu Jinghong couldn't wait for Yu Heng to come back and marry her, because she was already his. Yu Heng went to see the empress and wanted to marry Chu Jinghong. He thought that Yu Longyuan liked Chu Jinghong and if he found out that she had married someone else, he would be in chaos.
The Empress told the Emperor about Yu Heng's intention to marry Chu Jinghong. The Emperor agreed, and the Empress promised to handle the matter well. However, she was unsure when the wedding should take place. The Emperor emphasized that the wedding of a prince should not be taken lightly and suggested that it be held on the 15th day. The Empress was pleased to hear this and thanked the Emperor before leaving.
In order to develop an antidote to the blood curse for Yu Longyuan, Chu Jinghong stayed up all night. The Empress came to find Chu Jinghong and gave her a hairpin. Chu Jinghong was shocked to see it and asked why her hairpin was with the Empress. The Empress said she got it from Yu Longyuan, and whether or not Yu Longyuan would die in the future depended entirely on whether or not Chu Jinghong listened to her.
