The story follows Chu Qiao, a slave girl rescued by Yan Xun, the heir of Yanbei, with whom she forms a deep bond. However, Yan Xun betrays her, using her as bait to ambush Zhuge Yue, a nobleman of Da Xia. Both Chu Qiao and Zhuge Yue fall into an icy lake, but Chu Qiao is rescued and vows revenge against Yan Xun, who becomes a ruthless oppressor driven by hatred. While opposing Yan Xun, Chu Qiao discovers Zhuge Yue might still be alive and eventually reunites with him as they work together to bring peace to the warring states and protect their homeland.

Synopsis
Chu Qiao, a slave girl who is rescued by Yan Xun, the heir of Yanbei. The two form a deep bond, and Chu Qiao dedicates herself to assisting Yan Xun. However, Yan Xun betrays her by using her as bait to ambush and kill Zhuge Yue, the noble son of the Da Xia aristocracy. Chu Qiao and Zhuge Yue both fall into an icy lake during the incident. Chu Qiao is later rescued and vows revenge against Yan Xun for Zhuge Yue's sake.
After fleeing back to Yanbei, Yan Xun becomes consumed by his ambition to overthrow Da Xia. The once idealistic young man transforms into a ruthless oppressor, driven by hatred and an obsession with making Chu Qiao submit to his will. Meanwhile, Chu Qiao struggles against Yan Xun and begins to suspect that Zhuge Yue, who fell into the icy lake with her, might still be alive. Determined to uncover the truth, she searches for him.
During her efforts to help Bian Tang quell an internal rebellion, Chu Qiao is repeatedly saved by a mysterious man who feels strangely familiar to her. It is eventually revealed that he is Zhuge Yue. In the end, Chu Qiao works to bring peace to the warring states, standing side by side with soldiers and civilians to protect their homeland and build a better future.
