Later, the two returned to their high school and Gui Xiao sighed that the campus hadn't changed at all. Lu Yanchen looked at Gui Xiao's back and softly said, "You haven't changed at all either." Their late-night date came to an end and Lu Yanchen sent Gui Xiao to Meng Xiaoshan's house for the night. They were reluctant to part and Lu Yanchen invited Gui Xiao to go back to Qining with him. Gui Xiao happily agreed and both of them couldn't contain their excitement. Gui Xiao went back to Qining with Lu Yanchen and Qin Xiaonan was happy about their reunion. Duan Rou was worried that Hai Dong wouldn't be able to take care of Qin Xiaonan and offered to take care of the child herself. Meng Xiaoshan thought that their relationship was progressing too quickly and was worried about Gui Xiao, but her husband Qin Feng always believed that Gui Xiao and Lu Yanchen were meant to be together and thought that Meng Xiaoshan was worrying too much. On the way back to Qining, Gui Xiao advised Lu Yanchen not to dwell on Meng Xiaoshan's previous words and Lu Yanchen promised to marry Gui Xiao once he paid off his debts. That night, they stayed at a vacation villa owned by one of Lu Yanchen's former colleagues, Sun Hao. Sun Hao personally welcomed them and in the evening, they all gathered together and Sun Hao talked about Lu Yanchen's past dangerous experiences. Gui Xiao also found out that Lu Yanchen had been shot before and felt very sorry for him. After dinner, Lu Yanchen and Gui Xiao returned to the yurt hotel. The atmosphere was just right and they kissed. Gui Xiao touched the gunshot wound on Lu Yanchen's body and felt very sorry for him. She also realized that she didn't know much about Lu Yanchen's past career experiences.
