Gui Xiao returned to reality from her memories. She was cooking the dumplings that Lu Yanchen had prepared for her when she received a text message from him saying that he was busy and couldn't come home this weekend. Gui Xiao replied with a simple "received" and reminded Lu Yanchen to keep in touch. He replied with the same. The two of them had matured and understood how to maintain a relationship. One busy day at work, Lu Yanchen took the time to call Gui Xiao and update her on his situation. However, Gui Xiao was about to attend a meeting and forgot to say goodbye before hanging up. This small detail made Lu Yanchen unsure and he wondered if Gui Xiao was upset. He consulted his teammates, who also had no experience in love, and they all agreed that Gui Xiao was angry. So Lu Yanchen called her back immediately. Gui Xiao was surprised to see the call and asked what was wrong. Lu Yanchen didn't know what to say and suddenly brought up the topic of marriage, trying to test if Gui Xiao was angry. Gui Xiao was both surprised and amused and half-heartedly agreed to let him visit her family next weekend. Before hanging up this time, Gui Xiao emphasized saying goodbye, and Lu Yanchen smiled with relief when he heard it.
