Early the next day, Lu Yanchen prepared to return to his team. Gui Xiao and Lu Yanchen agreed to reschedule their prenatal check-up from Friday to Saturday, so that Lu Yanchen could accompany her. While at work, Gui Xiao received a call from Lu Yanchen's mother and learned that Lu Yanchen's father had heard they had already registered for marriage and hoped that the two sets of parents could meet and chat. Gui Xiao explained that her father was not in Beijing and that she would go to the appointment with her mother tonight. After hanging up, Gui Xiao contacted Lu Yanchen and informed him that both sets of parents would meet and have dinner tonight. Gui Xiao was initially anxious, but everything went smoothly. Upon hearing the news, Lu Yanchen was also very happy.

On Saturday, Lu Yanchen accompanied Gui Xiao to her prenatal check-up. Gui Xiao let Lu Yanchen listen to the baby's heartbeat and he was very excited. Seven months later, Lu Yanchen was assigned by his superiors to go to the Qining Special Police Training Team for special training and to carry out confidential missions. During the mission, they received a report from the public and found suspicious material, which was suspected to be a bomb, at a waste recycling station. Lu Yanchen and Qin Mingyu rushed to the scene to carry out bomb disposal work.
