Xiang Yuan saw the moments posted by Lu Dong on WeChat and understood why Xu Yanshi was angry. She said she was hungry and wanted to eat something made by Xu Yanshi. When Xu Yanshi returned home, he made her a bowl of noodles but asked her to season it herself, while he quietly peeled grapes for Xiang Yuan. Eventually, Xu Yanshi couldn't hold back and asked Xiang Yuan for an explanation. Xiang Yuan calmly called Lu Dong and asked him about the ticket. Lu Dong said it was given by the organizer. Xu Yanshi realized that this matter had nothing to do with Xiang Yuan and suddenly became the passive party. The next day, Xiang Yuan was supposed to take Xu Yanshi to the airport but found out that the car was still parked at the theater's parking lot. So she went to retrieve the car and ended up paying an extra 150 yuan for parking.

Xiang Yuan discovered that the employee name she reported for promotion from C-class to B-class, Shi Tianyou, was changed to Lin Qingqing. She called her grandfather to confirm and found out that the name reported was indeed Lin Qingqing. After the meeting, Li Qin proposed that Lin Qingqing be promoted as the deputy team leader of the technical department, but Xiang Yuan smiled and refused, intending to let You Zhi take the position. There were rumors about Lin Qingqing in the company, saying that she had buttered up some leader and successfully got promoted to B-class employee and might even become the deputy team leader. Gao Leng didn't believe that Lin Qingqing was that kind of person and spoke up for her. Chen Shu then called Gao Leng over and told him not to act impulsively since the situation with Lin Qingqing hadn't been clarified yet. Later, Xiang Yuan learned from Chen Shu that the list had been altered by Li Qin or Li Yongbiao.

Xiang Yuan felt that something was not right and went to find Li Qin to confirm. However, Li Qin taught her the principles of dealing with people in the workplace instead. It was the first time Xiang Yuan had been given advice by Li Qin, and she booked a flight to Shanghai that day. Lin Kairui, along with Xu Yanshi and others, had a meeting with Duan Zong. They saw that the drone technology not only improved accuracy but also added a new function. Duan Zong was all smiles, indicating that the cooperation with Kesheng was going well. Lin Kairui mentioned the conflict between Lu Junliang and Xu Yanshi, and Duan Zong immediately said that the matter would be properly handled. Xiang Yuan couldn't reach Xu Yanshi by phone, so she went to find him directly but saw Ye Siqin taking a coffee from him. Xiang Yuan became angry and turned to leave but accidentally bumped into a car behind her.

The car alarm went off, attracting Lin Kairui, and it happened to be her car. Lin Kairui liked Ye Siqin and intentionally asked Xiang Yuan for her WeChat, trying to make Ye Siqin jealous. Xu Yanshi couldn't hold back and took the initiative to talk to Xiang Yuan. Later, everyone found out that Xiang Yuan was Xu Yanshi's ex-girlfriend. They all went out to eat together, and Xiang Yuan learned that Xu Yanshi had stayed up several nights to solve technical problems so he could make time to visit her in Xi'an. When they returned home, Xu Yanshi deliberately left a few buttons open on his shirt, but Xiang Yuan didn't pay attention to him. They needed to resolve the misunderstanding quickly, so Xu Yanshi explained to Xiang Yuan that the coffee was bought by Lin Kairui for Ye Siqin.

Xu Yanshi took a day off and the next day he took Xiang Yuan to the park. Xiang Yuan suddenly came to find him, indicating that she encountered some difficulties at work. To change her mood, Xu Yanshi took her to a hotel, but Xiang Yuan misunderstood his intentions and bought some essential items. Xiang Yuan received a call from Xuanyuan, who informed her that Professor Zhong was hosting a grand banquet. Xiang Yuan asked Xu Yanshi if they should attend, and he told her to decide. Li Qin announced that Lin Qingqing had become the deputy team leader of the technical department. When Xiang Yuan returned, unexpectedly, she didn't object to this decision. Lin Qingqing took advantage of her position as the deputy team leader and took over the projects of You Zhi and Shi Tianyou, adding her name after theirs as the project completion personnel.
