The lab members were recruiting participants in the neighborhood, but they were mistaken for selling fake medicine and were kicked out by the security guards. Su Chengcheng overheard the conversation with Zhu Jiafa and rushed over. By using her outstanding eloquence and with the help of Wang Lunye as a middleman, they successfully recruited many participants and relocated to the entrance of a primary school.
After the recruitment was over, Su Chengcheng and Xiao Yuhe planned to have a meal, but Wang Lunye insisted on joining them. During the meal, Wang Lunye noticed that Xiao Yuhe had the same allergic reaction and eating habits as Zhu Panpan, which made him suspicious.
Meanwhile, Zhang Xixi was working in the lab late into the night, singing and dancing while cleaning the equipment. Gu Chen saw her and later joined Su Chengcheng and Xiao Yuhe for dinner at a restaurant. He ordered two takeout meals but panicked and ran away when Zhang Xixi also showed up. The restaurant owner ended up giving the takeout meals to Zhang Xixi, who discovered that Gu Chen didn't actually like cilantro.
Gu Chen was frustrated with his lack of progress and sought Su Chengcheng's advice. She revealed that Zhang Xixi was deeply hurt by her ex-boyfriend's accusation that she was an emotionless robot.
