Dashing Youth Episode 36 Recap
> Dashing Youth Recap
Baili Dongjun and Yue Yao went into the city together and happened to hear a lot of news about Sikong Changfeng. Baili Dongjun planned to personally write a letter to him, as he now knew that Sikong Changfeng was with Miss Feng. Baili Dongjun felt that Yue Yao had been through a lot recently, so he decided to take her on a sea voyage, and thus bid farewell to his senior brother.
His senior brother mentioned that he hoped to see Baili Dongjun return in high spirits. That night, Yue Yao stood on the deck, unable to hold back her tears. She had just witnessed the death of her father and the injury of her sister. She had thought that she could change their minds and stop them from destroying Beili, but in the end, Ye Dingzhi became the master of Tianwaitian.
Since childhood, Yue Yao had spent too little time with her father, and there weren’t even any good memories together. Baili Dongjun stood by her side, constantly comforting her. Fortunately, with Baili Dongjun's presence, Yue Yao didn’t feel as heartbroken as she might have. Baili Dongjun and Yue Yao continued their journey and finally met Elder Mo Yi in a canyon.
Baili Dongjun jokingly complained that even though Mo Yi was now in his forties, he still acted like his younger self. Mo Yi and Baili Dongjun chatted privately, and Mo Yi asked about Li Changsheng. Baili Dongjun replied that his master had gone on a journey. Mo Yi advised him that one day, he would have to guard the four corners of the world.
Mo Yi also told Baili Dongjun that if he crossed the stone monument, he would reach the realm he sought. He explained that sometimes, the so-called "end" is merely a human concept, but the true sky has no end. Afterward, Mo Yi opened a large door, telling Baili Dongjun that this was another realm. When Baili Dongjun entered, he was greeted with a sight unlike anything he had ever seen.
In ancient texts, the "end" was described as a bottomless cliff, with flames shooting up to turn the sky red. When divine beings arrived, immortals from all regions would come to pay homage. The realm before him might be the end or perhaps a figment of his imagination. This experience opened Baili Dongjun’s eyes. He realized that the world was filled with vast and magnificent wonders, and merely watching the rivers converge into the sea wasn’t enough.
Mo Yi reminded him that as long as the path was unfinished, he could turn back. Having seen such beautiful landscapes, Baili Dongjun felt an even greater urge to cultivate stronger internal energy. Mo Yi's intention was for Baili Dongjun to grasp the deeper meaning behind these sights, so he could improve his skills.
While Mo Yi and Yue Yao waited at the door, Yue Yao watched the tides rise and fall, remarking that life, like the ocean, has its ups and downs. She spoke of her father’s past and how her once-innocent sister had also changed with time, altering their lives. As Baili Dongjun devoted himself to cultivation, he suddenly reached another level of mastery.
At this moment, thunder and lightning clashed, but he was trapped in the clouds, unable to see Ye Dingzhi. Yue Yao had been imprisoned by Ye Dingzhi, who had now fully succumbed to darkness. Yue Yao pleaded for him to let her go, but Ye Dingzhi refused, saying that he needed a puppet. Since Yue Yao enjoyed this game, he would indulge her. Yue Yao cried, begging Ye Dingzhi to come back.
Mo Qixuan also found Ye Dingzhi and, realizing he couldn’t defeat him, decided to temporarily submit. Ye Dingzhi agreed. Baili Dongjun felt as though he saw Ye Dingzhi once again. He still couldn’t let go of his feelings for Ye Dingzhi. Ye Dingzhi told Baili Dongjun that his path had ended, and that reaching this point was his own choice.
Baili Dongjun didn’t want to give up on Ye Dingzhi, but he could only watch as he fell deeper into the abyss. In a final moment, Baili Dongjun transformed into a dragon, trying to save Ye Dingzhi, but was ultimately bound by long iron chains. These chains were the result of the laws that Baili Dongjun himself had forged. A year quickly passed, and Baili Dongjun’s skills had greatly improved. However, his beard had grown long and scruffy.
His only desire now was to take a bath, but before leaving, he had to face one final test from Elder Mo Yi. After successfully passing the test, he left and reunited with Yue Yao, who had been on his mind day and night. Yue Yao personally trimmed his beard, and although he had been inside the stone monument for a year, it had felt like only a few days.
With Yue Yao’s help, Baili Dongjun returned to his former handsome self. Unable to resist, he kissed Yue Yao. Now that his training was complete, Baili Dongjun was ready to leave, as they had more important tasks ahead. He bid a brief farewell to Mo Yi. Yue Yao met with her sister, Yin Luoxia, on the bed. From their conversation, she learned that half a year ago, Ye Dingzhi had already begun making moves on the Beili border.
His subordinates were prepared to sacrifice their lives for him, and Ye Dingzhi had truly become the leader of the cult. Baili Dongjun swore that he would bring Ye Dingzhi back.
