The Last Immortal Episode 24 Recap

> The Last Immortal Recap

The demon clan sent troops to invade the Heavenly Palace, attempting to rescue Hong Yi, but they were no match for the immortal sect. The immortals united against the common enemy, swiftly decimating the demon clan. Some even took the corpse of a fox demon to humiliate Hong Yi, further fueling his anger. He declared his intention to kill these seemingly righteous immortals. Gu Jin strongly disapproved of this approach, believing that even if Hong Yi was guilty, the punishment should be individual, not affecting the entire clan.

As usual, A Yin guarded the Hall of Military Affairs, watching over the unconscious Yan Shuang and Qing Yun. Both were severely injured, with scars on their backs and shoulders reaching the bone. Even with immortal medicine, the wounds could not be completely healed, relying on their own immortal powers for slow recovery. When Gu Jin came to visit, A Yin wanted to discuss Hong Yi's situation with him. However, Hua Shu arrived, demanding severe punishment for Hong Yi. Gu Jin had no choice but to imprison Hong Yi once again.

Knowing the vast power difference between immortals and demons, Qing Lin understood that sending demons to rescue someone was akin to sending them to their death. Instead, he had the Peacock King infiltrate the Demon-Locking Tower to draw out the demonic aura within Hong Yi. The Peacock King reminded Qing Lin to remember this favor, but Qing Lin sneered, stating that whether Hong Yi could withstand the punishment of the Nine-Tiered Profound Thunder depended on fate.

As A Yin passed by the Demon-Locking Tower, she saw a flash of demonic aura but was ignored when she tried to alert the guards. In a hurry, she went to find Gu Jin but was stopped by Hong Chou outside the door. Hong Chou slapped her, blaming her for bringing calamity to Gu Jin and leading Daze Mountain to such a fate. Shocked and saddened by these words, A Yin wandered into Daze Mountain, unexpectedly encountering Lin Mo in the immortal sect.

Lin Mo knew that Hong Yi did not intend to harm the immortals, but the massacre at Daze Mountain was a fact. If the Demon Emperor forcibly ordered the immortal clan to hand over Hong Yi, it might immediately lead to a conflict between immortals and demons. Therefore, Lin Mo, after careful consideration, sought A Yin to discuss this matter. Around the barrier, Lin Mo found a sound-transmitting talisman. Although somewhat damaged, releasing the talisman would allow them to hear the voice of Xian Shan. Xian Shan revealed that Hong Yi was being controlled by demons, intending to provoke a war between immortals and demons, and warned them not to fall for the demons' trickery.

As soon as the message was delivered, the sound-transmitting talisman disappeared, and A Yin was unable to bring the truth to Gu Jin, equally concerned about Hong Yi's safety. At Lin Mo's request, A Yin, armed with the Immortal-Blocking Net's artifact, found an opportunity to enter the Demon-Locking Tower and release Hong Yi. Immortal Wind Lord rushed with others to stop her, feigning defeat against Hong Yi, allowing them to escape.

Lin Mo welcomed them outside the Heavenly Palace, urging Hong Yi to leave quickly, while A Yin stayed behind to stop the pursuit by the Peacock King and his daughter. Just in time, Gu Jin appeared, listening to A Yin's account of the sound-transmitting talisman. Despite believing her, he lacked evidence. Hua Shu demanded that Gu Jin fulfill his promise from years ago, insisting on severe punishment for A Yin. Reluctantly, Gu Jin had A Yin detained until the investigation was complete. If A Yin was found to have released Hong Yi herself, she would be stripped of her immortal status and severely punished.

After everyone left, A Yin pleaded with Gu Jin to believe her. Hong Yi, however, neither listened nor believed, expressing deep regret for encountering A Yin in the Forbidden Valley years ago. He believed that if he hadn't found the Water Nymph Egg, he wouldn't have met A Yin, and Daze Mountain wouldn't have suffered such consequences. In reality, after Gu Jin left the Hall of Military Affairs, he went alone to the Fox Clan, intending to clarify the truth with Hong Yi.

Hong Yi returned to the Fox Clan to heal, and his cultivation soared once again. The entire fox clan rejoiced at the Ten-Tailed Celestial Fox's return, seeing hope for the future of the fox clan. However, Qing Lin was displeased with Hong Yi's return, feeling that it disrupted his plans. To expedite the war between immortals and demons, Qing Lin plotted to kill the Demon Emperor and frame the immortal realm. The demon clan was furious, but Lin Mo, upon hearing Xian Shan's message, realized there was hidden truth in his brother's death. He persuaded Hong Yi to calm down.

Gu Jin fell into a trap set by Qing Lin as soon as he arrived at the Fox Clan. Qing Lin revealed his true form and confessed to him, admitting to slaughtering Daze Mountain while possessing Hong Yi. Now trapped, Gu Jin, the balance between immortals and demons shattered, was at Qing Lin's mercy. The Peacock King intentionally revealed A Yin's identity to Hua Shu. Upon learning that the Water Nymph's inner core could revive Emperor Lan Feng, Hua Shu conceived the idea of killing A Yin to obtain the core, regardless of rumors, feeling that A Yin owed Lan Feng.
