Yan Shuang gathered courage to confess her feelings to Hong Yi, arranging to meet him at the Pear Blossom Cottage. Unfortunately, just as Hong Yi was about to meet her, he received an invitation from Feng Yin to discuss matters with the Wind Immortal, Yun Feng Zun. Hong Yi had to make a detour to Wutong Island first. Gu Jin watched as Hong Yi entered Feng Yin's palace, and the palace maids gossiped about the two of them being a perfect match, almost causing a commotion. Even Fu Chenjian blocked him from entering. Yun Feng Zun explained the incident to Feng Yin, making her suspect the existence of a traitor in the immortal realm. While Gu Jin also investigated the matter, Yun Feng Zun suggested cooperation between Feng Yin and Gu Jin, but Feng Yin politely declined. After analyzing the case, Hong Yi suddenly remembered their appointment and rushed to the Pear Blossom Cottage, only to find Yan Shuang's absence.

It turned out that Yan Shuang had carefully prepared a meal and wine, waiting for Hong Yi. Upon hearing that Hong Yi had gone to Wutong Island to meet Feng Yin, she couldn't hide her disappointment and left. Caught in heavy rain, Yan Shuang stood alone on a bridge, fortunately encountering Kunlun Mountain's Young Master Lian Xi, who kindly offered her an umbrella. Lian Xi took Yan Shuang to an inn, where Yan Shuang, curious about his painting, discovered that the person depicted was herself, surprising her. On the other hand, when Hong Yi hurriedly arrived, he accused Lian Xi of having ill intentions towards Yan Shuang. Despite Hong Yi explaining the reason for missing the appointment, Yan Shuang, ignoring his explanation, intentionally clung to Lian Xi's arm, severing ties with Hong Yi completely.

In a bid to secure her position as the Heavenly Empress, Hua Shu diligently practiced cultivation daily, aiming for an early ascension to divinity. However, her eagerness led her dangerously close to demonic cultivation. The Peacock King appeared in time to control her and offered a shortcut to godhood – absorbing others' spiritual power to enhance herself. Learning that her father intended for her to practice demonic cultivation, Hua Shu firmly refused and questioned her father's involvement in demonic cultivation. The Peacock King, with no concealment, revealed his own strength and pretended to act for his daughter's and the clan's well-being. After emotionally manipulating Hua Shu, he even revealed that only demonic cultivation could resurrect Emperor Lan Feng. Once the Peacock King left, Hua Shu approached Emperor Lan Feng, acknowledging her father and the Emperor's sincere concern for her. She ultimately made a choice and informed the Peacock King, urging him to hide the demonic energy.

Learning that Gu Jin repeatedly showed goodwill to Feng Yin, he mistakenly believed that Gu Jin had transferred affections, feeling unjust for A Yin. Unaware that A Yin had undergone Nirvana and still observed A Yin's memorial day in the Rakshasa Land, Gu Jin brought Feng Yin to witness the scene, causing a mix of emotions. Feng Yin approached to consume the offerings, and Qing Yi, angry, was about to question them. However, upon closer inspection, he was pleasantly surprised to find out that it was A Yin, creating a moment of joy. Hong Chou, witnessing Qing Yi and Feng Yin getting closer, worried about potential rumors. She sought out Feng Yin privately, clarifying that Gu Jin had no feelings for the Water Condensation Beast apart from pity. Unfortunately, her attempt to prevent misunderstandings only made things more complicated.

Initially, Gu Jin had hoped to strengthen his relationship with Feng Yin through Qing Shan. However, Feng Yin suddenly became temperamental, causing their relationship to plummet once again, leaving Gu Jin puzzled. Gu Jin consulted Hong Chou about the reasons, and after hearing her explanation, he angrily reprimanded her, telling her not to interfere in his affairs. He suggested she go to the East Sea to deal with the Mountain Demon Chaos if she had nothing else to do. Later, Gu Jin returned to Wutong Island, bringing out the recently cultivated Chaos Pearl, intending to use Hua Shu's birthday banquet to expose the real culprit. Although Feng Yin agreed with Gu Jin's plan, she remained cold towards him. Upon learning this, Feng Yuan agreed to reopen the case and collaborate with them in the investigation.

Hong Yi dreamt of Yan Shuang seeking him out. Disappointed upon waking up, he decided to send a message to Yan Shuang, inviting her to meet at the Pear Blossom Cottage. The palace maids reported that the birthday banquet was well-prepared, and various immortal dignitaries had arrived. Hua Shu had prepared for Gu Jin's absence, using the banquet to maintain appearances. Feng Yin and Gu Jin attended the banquet together, with various bird clans flattering Hua Shu. However, when Feng Yin suddenly appeared, the atmosphere shifted. As Feng Yin arrived, the bird clans bowed in worship, but Hua Shu remained arrogantly standing in place.
