The Last Immortal Episode 34 Recap
> The Last Immortal Recap
After Gu Jin and Feng Yin's wedding, a divine light descended, bringing joy to the celestial beings. Hong Yi couldn't hide his disappointment, and Yan Shuang, aware of his inner turmoil, stopped in her tracks, considering that she had already let go of him and didn't step forward to console him. After the wedding, Gu Jin followed Feng Yin back to Wutong Island, and to avoid suspicion, they had to act as a loving couple.
Hua Shu was furious that her careful plans, relying on Gu Jin to secure the position of the Heavenly Emperor, were endangered by Feng Yin's appearance. Many celestial beings distanced themselves from the Peacock Clan. The Peacock King sensed something was amiss, speculating that Feng Yin's sudden marriage to Gu Jin was likely to attract divine light. He suspected that Gu Jin had bribed the Phoenix disciples on Wutong Island to monitor Feng Yin.
On the night of their wedding, Gu Jin poured two glasses of wine, handing one to Feng Yin, reminiscing about their past marriage on Earth. Even though it was hastily arranged, he vividly remembered A Yin's joyful expression, her eyes shining brighter than the heavens.
However, Feng Yin didn't take the wine cup; instead, she presented a pre-written divorce letter, announcing their return to freedom after one month. Initially, Feng Yin intended to make Gu Jin abandon any thoughts of reconciliation and leave Wutong Island. To her surprise, Gu Jin suggested that, before the divorce, they still had a month to openly act as a married couple on Wutong Island.
Hong Yi returned to the Demon Clan, drinking in frustration, cursing Gu Jin for playing with him, and worrying about Yan Shuang's injuries. Later, he went alone to the Eagle Clan, coinciding with the succession ceremony. He couldn't help but complain about Yan Shuang not informing him. In front of everyone, Yan Shuang declared that she would draw a clear line with Hong Yi, stating that, from now on, every word and action represented the Eagle Clan. Shocked, Hong Yi, upon confirming that Yan Shuang was serious, angrily turned and left. With Yan Shuang officially taking over as the Eagle King, she watched Hong Yi's departing figure, shedding tears.
Gu Jin and Feng Yin, though sharing the same room, had separate beds. When Feng Yin woke up early and didn't see Gu Jin, even missing him during breakfast, a slight unease crept into her heart, fearing he might be facing divine punishment without her knowledge. As Feng Yin anticipated, Gu Jin, despite extreme spiritual weakness, endured heavenly thunder and pretended to return unscathed.
Fuchen Sword verified the absentees on the guest list, including the Peacock King, Hua Mo, arousing suspicion in Feng Yin. Gu Jin successfully restored Feng Ming's residual essence and witnessed his murder, leading him to conclude that the demonic cultivator was the Peacock King. Although they found the demonic cultivator, they couldn't act hastily: first, to investigate if there was a mastermind behind it, and second, to trace the exact location of Ziyue.
Shortly after, Fuchen Sword found that Ziyue was in the Xuanchi Immortal Realm. Without a corresponding magical treasure, it would be challenging to enter the source of the Weak Water. At this moment, Gu Jin brought personally made exquisite pastries for Feng Yin to taste. A Yu entered the room and, seeing the intimate scene, urged them to quickly have a child to play with, leaving the two alone.
Due to the strong devouring ability of the Weak Water, Gu Jin thought of overcoming it by obtaining a few fox hairs from Hong Yi. Hong Yi, already in a bad mood, saw Gu Jin as an archenemy and wanted to fight him. Fortunately, Feng Yin intervened, explaining the purpose directly. Hong Yi willingly agreed, taking the opportunity to vent his frustrations about Yan Shuang.
On the other side, Hong Chou, upon hearing that Gu Jin was marrying into Wutong Island, felt dissatisfied and decided to go to Wutong Island to settle the score with Feng Yin. After hearing Hong Yi's account, Feng Yin comforted him, advising him not to be angry. She explained the challenges Yan Shuang faced in taking over as the Eagle King. However, Hong Yi's greatest anger was not towards Yan Shuang but towards Yan Shuang's frequent interactions with Lianxi. This revelation made Feng Yin and Gu Jin subtly acknowledge that Hong Yi was jealous without realizing it.
Feng Yin found an excuse to talk to Yan Shuang, and Gu Jin prepared to leave. Hong Yi stopped him, sincerely offering his blessings for Gu Jin and Feng Yin. He also realized that his unrequited love for Yan Shuang was meaningless. Gu Jin, exposing Hong Yi's feelings for Yan Shuang, awakened Hong Yi. Yan Shuang was delighted to see Feng Yin and appreciated her visit. Feng Yin, knowing Yan Shuang still had feelings for Hong Yi, wanted to persuade her to give him another chance. However, Yan Shuang had already made a decision and just wanted to manage the Eagle Clan properly.
