> Si Jin Recap

Yu Qi suddenly appeared, interrupting the conversation between Jiang Shi and Zhen Hang. Madam Zhen, seeing Yu Qi trying to disrupt things, stepped in to support her son. Using official business at the Capital Office as an excuse, Yu Qi attempted to send Zhen Hang away, but Zhen Hang saw through his intentions. Before leaving, Zhen Hang took Yu Qi with him. Jiang Pei was officially married, with her aunt and Jiang Qiao offering their congratulations.

To ensure that Jiang Zhan stayed home peacefully and focused on his martial arts training, Jiang Shi even brought in Lu Chuchu. Jiang Zhan and Lu Chuchu chatted in the garden over tea, but their interaction was spotted by Madam Xiao. Misunderstanding the situation, Madam Xiao assumed that Jiang Shi was using her house arrest as an opportunity to insert her own people into the household, attempting to replace her.

Seizing the chance during a meeting with the Jiang Matriarch, Madam Xiao deliberately tried to sow discord between Jiang Zhan and Lu Chuchu, belittling Lu Chuchu as someone of no worth. Upon hearing this, the Jiang Matriarch naturally disapproved of her grandson associating with such a woman of the martial world and summoned Jiang Zhan, ordering him to stay away from Lu Chuchu.

However, upon learning that Lu Chuchu was the renowned daughter of General Huaihua and that she had generously spent all her wealth to aid the people, the Jiang Matriarch changed her stance and no longer opposed their association. Madam Xiao took the opportunity to file more complaints, only for Jiang Zhan to overhear everything. That night, Yu Qi sat alone in the courtyard, feeling frustrated. Long Dan approached him and suggested that he follow Zhen Hang’s example by gifting flowers.

The next day, Long Dan returned the crabapple flowers that Jiang Shi had given Yu Qi. Seeing this, A’Man became furious, grabbed the flowers, and stormed off, leaving Long Dan confused. Jiang Shi had originally planned to explain things to Zhen Hang and Madam Zhen at the teahouse, but her conversation was once again interrupted by Yu Qi. She was unsure when she would get another chance to talk.

Meanwhile, A’Man’s opinion of Zhen Hang changed—she now felt that Jiang Shi would be better off with him. Cao Xingxing sought out Cui Mingyue, encouraging her to go after Jiang Shi. He claimed that Jiang Shi’s shop had been extremely profitable and implied that she must have used underhanded means to acquire it. Cui Mingyue, eager for revenge, gathered a group of women and caused a scene at Jiang Shi’s store, falsely claiming that the products had ruined their faces.

They even began vandalizing the shop. Lu Chuchu stepped in to stop them, but the women twisted the story, accusing the shop of violently attacking customers. Jiang Shi arrived just in time to stop the commotion and exposed evidence proving that the women had been deliberately sent to frame her. She even used the opportunity to promote her store.

Realizing that their scheme had backfired, the women quickly fled, but Jiang Shi remained concerned—she was certain someone was pulling the strings behind the scenes. With her store damaged, Jiang Shi suffered significant losses and scrambled to find money to cover the deficit. However, she couldn’t gather enough funds in a short time. Just then, the military dog Er Niu suddenly appeared, carrying a bundle of banknotes. Jiang Shi immediately knew that Yu Qi had sent the money.

Yu Qi was searching for Er Niu when he discovered that Jiang Shi had crawled into his courtyard through a dog hole. Fearing that Yu Qi might have taken out a high-interest loan to help her, Jiang Shi tried to return the money. Yu Qi reassured her that the money was his own and that she could use it without worry. However, Jiang Shi still refused.

In the end, Yu Qi insisted, using the excuse that he was investing in her business. Ji Chongyi’s attempt to frame Jiang Shi had failed. To avoid angering Cui Mingyue, he publicly berated the woman who had carried out the scheme. However, Cui Mingyue was ruthless—she crippled the woman’s voice, leaving Cao Xingxing shaken by her cruelty. Cui Mingyue had never respected Ji Chongyi or Cao Xingxing and humiliated them both.

While Cao Xingxing didn’t seem to mind, he deliberately dragged the Capital Office into the matter and suggested that they target Jiang Zhan instead. Suddenly, Jiang Zhan went missing. Jiang Shi was extremely anxious, even alerting Yu Qi to help search for him. They eventually found Jiang Zhan unharmed, and Jiang Shi quickly took him home. Sensing Jiang Shi’s unusual behavior, Yu Qi asked Qin Feng about Jiang Shi’s recent actions.

Determined to take matters into his own hands, Yu Qi decided to personally train Jiang Zhan in martial arts. Meanwhile, Zhen Hang continued sending flowers to Jiang Shi. Upon hearing that Jiang Shi and Yu Qi had gone to the western suburbs’ horse ranch, he rushed there immediately. At the ranch, Jiang Shi watched as Yu Qi rode a horse, drew his bow, and fired arrows with striking precision. Captivated by his heroic and commanding presence, she found herself momentarily lost in admiration.
