Just as Jiang Zhan carried Lu Chuchu to the shore, thunder suddenly rumbled. Instinctively, Jiang Zhan covered Lu Chuchu's ears with both hands, and for a moment, the atmosphere between them turned slightly ambiguous. Soon after, it began to rain. On the other side, Jiang Shi and Yu Qi also took shelter under a tree. Taking advantage of the moment, Yu Qi grabbed Jiang Shi's hand.

Jiang Shi, feeling a bit shy, tried to withdraw her hand, but Yu Qi held on tightly. Meanwhile, Jiang Zhan tended to Lu Chuchu’s twisted ankle. Having often climbed walls in his childhood, Jiang Zhan had plenty of experience treating sprained ankles. As they continued their journey, the group passed by a centuries-old tree covered in wooden plaques tied with red strings.

An elderly man beneath the tree explained that many young men and women from the village would come here to make wishes. Inspired, everyone took a plaque and wrote down their wishes before hanging them on the tree. At the same time, Zhen Hang was escorting Sang Ya to the outskirts for execution. However, Nightingale Gate had caught wind of this and planned an ambush mid-journey to rescue Sang Ya.

Little did they know that this was a trap set by Zhen Hang. As a result, Nightingale Gate suffered heavy casualties, and the remaining members fled in panic. That night, the rain grew heavier. Jiang Shi and the others arrived at a place called Shan An Tang and decided to take shelter there. Madam Shen, the owner, was very warm and welcoming, allowing them to stay and even preparing food for them.

Late at night, Shen Xin'er sneaked into Jiang Shi's room while she was asleep and gently caressed her hand. However, Jiang Shi suddenly coughed uncomfortably, scaring Shen Xin'er into fleeing. Shen Xin'er then crept into Lu Chuchu's room, only to be startled when Lu Chuchu suddenly turned over in her sleep, causing Shen Xin'er to flee once again. The next day, Jiang Shi suddenly developed a fever.

Lu Chuchu found it odd, as she vaguely remembered seeing a figure at night. She asked Madam Shen if there was anything unclean in the place, but Madam Shen brushed it off, claiming she was skilled in medicine and could cure Jiang Shi with acupuncture. The group anxiously waited in the courtyard as Madam Shen treated Jiang Shi. Suddenly, Madam Shen ran out in a panic, claiming she needed medicinal herbs and asked everyone to split up and find them.

Yu Qi, sensing something amiss, left Long Dan behind to guard Jiang Shi. However, Madam Shen secretly added a laxative to Long Dan's water. Once Long Dan was forced to leave, Shen Xin'er sneaked back into Jiang Shi’s room and began touching her hand again. Jiang Shi suddenly woke up and discovered that Shen Xin'er was actually a man in disguise. When Jiang Shi tried to escape, Madam Shen drugged her unconscious.

Madam Shen had already arranged for someone to come and take Jiang Shi away. With Long Dan incapacitated and weak, he was unable to resist. When Yu Qi and Jiang Zhan returned, they sensed something was wrong. Without delay, Yu Qi and Jiang Zhan rushed to the county office to report the crime. However, the local officials were colluding with the kidnappers, deliberately delaying the process.

Realizing time was critical, Yu Qi abandoned the attempt to involve the officials and decided to investigate on his own. Shen Xin'er had developed an obsession with Jiang Shi due to her beauty and did not want to sell her. However, Madam Shen viewed Jiang Shi as a high-value commodity and insisted on selling her for a hefty profit.

As Yu Qi and Jiang Zhan exited the county office, they ran into Qin Feng, who looked extremely disheveled and was also there to report his wife's disappearance. It turned out that Qin Feng's wife, A’Rong, had gone missing under similar circumstances to Jiang Shi. Connecting the dots, Yu Qi deduced that Madam Shen was suspicious and led everyone back to Shan An Tang, only to find it deserted.

They discovered some M-drugs and a clue left behind by Jiang Shi, confirming their suspicions. Meanwhile, Jiang Shi had been taken to a mountain hideout, where she encountered A’Rong, who was also held captive. Jiang Shi managed to overpower a guard delivering their meals and attempted to escape with A’Rong. However, they were soon discovered. In a selfless act, A’Rong sacrificed herself to buy Jiang Shi time to escape.

Unfortunately, Jiang Shi was recaptured by Madam Shen, who then discovered that A’Rong was pregnant and intended to sell her off immediately. Refusing to endure such humiliation, A’Rong chose to end her own life. Jiang Shi was tightly bound in a room when Yu Qi suddenly arrived to rescue her. However, Jiang Shi insisted on saving everyone else as well.

Using reverse psychology, she provoked Shen Xin'er into threatening Madam Shen, prompting Shen Xin'er to accidentally reveal the location of the account book. Yu Qi seized the opportunity to take the account book and successfully rescued Jiang Shi. Armed with evidence, Yu Qi immediately contacted Zhen Hang, who led the capital patrol officers to apprehend all the criminals.
