Zhen Hang took the list and questioned the soldier who allegedly found it, sensing something suspicious.

However, Lord Changxing disregarded his concerns and insisted on taking his men to the residence of Earl Dongping, planning to arrest Jiang Shi’s entire family. Long Dan, worried, asked Zhen Hang if he had any countermeasures. Since the laws dictated that Jiang Shi’s family should be detained, Zhen Hang had no choice but to let Lord Changxing proceed. However, he was certain that Lord Changqing would not dare to act recklessly at this time.

Walking down the street, the Princess Royal recalled memories of her daughter and felt heartbroken. Suddenly, she bumped into Yu Qi, and the two locked eyes, both filled with killing intent. Meanwhile, Zhen Hang took the letter containing the list of spies to the Changqing Paper Workshop. Meanwhile, Consort Xian presented testimony from Nanny Xu, accusing the Princess Royal of falsely incriminating Yu Qi years ago. However, instead of punishing the Princess Royal, the Emperor confined Consort Xian for a month, which she refused to accept. Princess Fuqing had kept Zhen Hang behind because she feared that making her knowledge public would harm her mother. Zhen Hang encouraged her to reveal the truth to the Emperor.

At that moment, Princess Fuqing also asked Zhen Hang why he had refused the Emperor’s arranged marriage. Prince Qi blamed Consort Xian for revealing evidence that helped Yu Qi but harmed him instead. However, Consort Xian was furious, as it was Prince Qi himself who exposed Yu Qi. She wanted the family to remain united, but Prince Qi, driven by his ambition for the throne, had betrayed his own brother. This led to a heated argument between mother and son.

Lord Changxing and Zhen Hang took the spy list to the Emperor. Lord Changxing proposed arresting everyone on the list. Initially, the Emperor agreed, but Zhen Hang firmly opposed it, arguing that if the names on the list were false, it would only help the real spies. To rescue Jiang Shi, Yu Qi sought out Du Er for a possible collaboration. Meanwhile, Lord Changxing hurried to inform the Princess Royal that the Emperor had pardoned those named in the letter.

Realizing the Emperor’s wavering stance, the Princess Royal decided to take matters into her own hands. Jiang Ancheng, upon learning that the Princess Royal was the one who accused his daughter, understood that even staying silent would not resolve the issue. He prepared to submit a petition to the Emperor himself. The Princess Royal personally interrogated Jiang Shi and subjected her to torture. She also sent assassins to kill Jiang Ancheng, but the attempt failed.

Princess Fuqing brought Nanny Duo before the Emperor and fully exposed the truth about past events. The Emperor summoned the Princess Royal to the grand hall and, through careful probing, finally confirmed her secret dealings with Nanwu. Realizing that her plans were about to be uncovered, the Princess Royal secretly instructed Lord Changxing to prepare for rebellion.
