Bai Wei faced targeted attacks from Jin Bihua in the Lu family, but fortunately, she won the favor of the Lu family by serving a bowl of Shaoxing chicken congee. The old lady had a sense of familiarity with her, while Jin Bihua became even more frustrated. Lu Xueting's repeated attempts to show goodwill to Bai Wei were met with indifference, but she didn't mind. Bai Wei casually inquired about Nan Lan and Lu Xuelin from Xueting and, in return, Xueting invited her to the Goddess Hotel for coffee.
Inside the magnificent Goddess Hotel, guests filled the halls, toasting and mingling, their gazes fixed on the hotel's owner, Nan Lan. Nan Lan had bought 65% of the shares of the Singapore Building from Richard, with the remaining 35% belonging to Lu Xueqiao. The building happened to be the one the red headbands, including Tianqing, were tirelessly working on day and night. As the major shareholder of the building, Nan Lan's first decision was to halt construction, intending to bankrupt the Lu family. Unaware of the situation, Lu Xueqiao was still busy flirting with the maids at home. After receiving a secret message from Richard, infuriated Lu Xueqiao sought Lin Longqing's help and stole Jin Biyun's jewelry to give to Lin Longqing, asking him to set the building on fire to frighten Nan Lan.
