Situ Hong and his brothers, along with Yu Jingqiu, were tasked with searching for clues about the Blood-Refining Divine Weapons. They searched through the weapon shops in Yishui City but found no leads. The Blood-Refining Divine Weapons were different from ordinary weapons; they required special materials and had a complex refining process. As a result, regular weapon merchants were unwilling and unable to deal with them. What they didn't know was that their investigation in Konghai's arsenal had caught the attention of Konghai's subordinates. Konghai informed his subordinates about the situation and instructed them to closely observe the developments.

While at a teahouse, Yu Jingqiu overheard a storyteller narrating the heroic deeds of Dongbo Xueying's battle against Xiang Pangyun. She listened attentively, while Situ Borong, who was with her, dismissed Dongbo Xueying as a useless dead man, claiming that only the living could be considered heroes. This infuriated Yu Jingqiu, and she demanded an apology from Situ Borong. Even Situ Hong felt that his brother had gone too far and pressured him to apologize to Dongbo Xueying and Yu Jingqiu. News of Dongbo Xueying's supposed death after falling from Heifeng Cliff reached Dongbo Qingshi, who was devastated. He insisted on finding his brother, and Ji Rong, worried about his safety, accompanied him.

At Changfeng Academy, Kong Hao was extremely anxious. Although Pu Yangbo had swiftly returned to the academy with the injured Kong Youyue, she remained unconscious due to the severity of her injuries. The supreme leader of the Demon God Assembly, wearing a mask, appeared. After the battles in Yunwu City and the Sea God Palace, the Abyssal Demons of the Demon God Assembly had been nearly eradicated. Even with the source stone, their plans couldn't be accomplished without the power of living beings. Upon hearing that Xiang Pangyun had been killed by Dongbo Xueying, the leader expressed regret. Learning that the students of Changfeng Academy were brave and skilled, the leader enlisted the help of the Three Sacrificial Priests, ordering them to capture the academy's students for their own purposes. This would enable them to train enough demons to attack the Demon God Well and fulfill the Demon God Assembly's grand plan. The three priests assured the leader that they would soon be in control of the Dragon Mountain Kingdom.

Situ Hong and his brothers returned to Changfeng Academy empty-handed, and after hearing their report, Chi Qiu Bai comforted them briefly and urged them to rest. However, Yu Jingqiu seemed preoccupied, and Chi Qiu Bai felt concerned for her. Pu Yangbo learned of Dongbo Xueying's apparent death at Heifeng Cliff, while Situ Hong and his brothers returned unharmed. This infuriated him, and he angrily reprimanded Situ Borong and others for standing by and doing nothing when Xueying was in trouble. Situ Borong argued back, claiming he was also powerless in the situation. Kong Youyue, who had just regained consciousness, heard about Dongbo Xueying's supposed death and struggled to get up, insisting on finding him. She firmly believed that her brother Xueying wouldn't die so easily. Seeing the students arguing, Yu Jingqiu quietly left the scene.

Chi Qiu Bai was studying the remnants of the Blood-Refining Divine Weapons they had acquired when Situ Hong entered, asking him for a piece to make a comparison and find a lead. After a few instructions, Chi Qiu Bai handed him a piece. Meanwhile, Dongbo Xueying, still unconscious and entangled in tree vines at the bottom of Heifeng Cliff, clung to his inner thoughts, determined to stay alive. Suddenly, he saw Yu Jingqiu, and they embraced tightly. Xueying suspected it was a dream, but Jingqiu reminded him that it was real—he was indeed alive. It turned out that Xueying's unknown fate had left Yu Jingqiu distraught, firmly believing that he must still be alive. After searching through ancient texts, Yu Jingqiu found the Lotus Throne in the Treasure Pavilion. Using it, she was able to dissipate the airflow vortex in Heifeng Cave and arrived at the bottom of Heifeng Cliff to search for Xueying. When she saw Xueying entangled by the tree vines, she quickly used a dagger to free him and rescue him. Xueying was overjoyed, and together they searched for an escape route from Heifeng Cliff, but they discovered that the area seemed to be trapped by a barrier, making it impossible to leave. They had no choice but to temporarily stay there and make plans.
