Chi Qiu Bai received a report stating that Yu Jingqiu had not returned overnight, which surprised him. Coincidentally, he ran into Situ Hong and asked him if he had seen Yu Jingqiu. Situ Hong didn't dare to conceal the truth and revealed that he had encountered Yu Jingqiu in the Treasure Pavilion. She intended to take the Lotus Throne and search for Dongbo Xueying at Heifeng Cliff. Situ Hong tried to stop her, but she didn't listen. Chi Qiu Bai, upon hearing this, loudly reprimanded them for their reckless actions. He understood Chi Qiu Bai's feelings as he valued both Dongbo Xueying and Yu Jingqiu, and now both of them were in trouble.

After the attack on the Demon God Well, Nanchin had tightened their defenses, but the Demon God Assembly was intensifying their plans and had targeted Changfeng Academy. The High Priest reported the situation to the Demon Lord and assured him that he would arrange everything. He sent a strand of black evil energy into Changfeng Academy. Dongbo Qingshi arrived at Changfeng Academy, where everyone told him that Dongbo Xueying had indeed fallen off Heifeng Cliff and died. Pu Yangbo reassured Qingshi and promised that they would avenge Dongbo Xueying and find the Blood-Refining Divine Weapons. Qingshi took his brother's clothes as a memento and returned to Xueying Castle, where Ji Rong silently accompanied him. Tong San and Zong Ling, upon hearing about Dongbo Xueying's supposed death, were devastated and set up a memorial tablet for him.

Chi Qiu Bai sensed someone spying on Changfeng Academy and attempted to chase them down but only managed to obtain a magic bell from the Demon God Assembly. He had a feeling that something was wrong and hurriedly went to discuss countermeasures with the elders. They learned that the Demon God Assembly had already targeted Changfeng Academy. After analyzing the situation, they concluded that the Demon God Assembly's power was not sufficient after the previous two battles. Everyone was instructed to be vigilant and guard the academy. Chi Qiu Bai returned to Changfeng Academy and strengthened the defenses while setting up barriers around the area, forbidding anyone from leaving. However, it was too late, as two students suddenly went missing.

Chi Qiu Bai warned everyone to be cautious, and the students on duty were tasked with the responsibility of protecting the academy. On that day, it was Situ Borong's turn for duty. He noticed some figures and, in fear, they disappeared. Worried, he ran back to the dormitory and asked Situ Hong to join him on duty. Situ Hong scolded him, but when he went to switch shifts, he discovered that Situ Borong had already been abducted by the demons. Chi Qiu Bai reinforced the academy's defenses and set up a barrier, making sure no one could leave. Situ Hong felt guilty about Situ Borong's capture and decided to go out and search for him. He secretly opened the barrier and left. Pu Yangbo and Kong Youyue discovered this and informed Chi Qiu Bai. As a punishment, Chi Qiu Bai ordered Situ Hong to practice knife skills in the training ground.

While delivering freshly washed clothes to Pu Yangbo, Kong Youyue accidentally discovered a fragment of the Blood-Refining Divine Weapons near Situ Hong's bed. She carefully examined it and realized it was from their family's weapon arsenal. She discreetly placed it back without raising suspicion. Pu Yangbo, upon seeing this, couldn't understand her intentions.

Dongbo Xueying and Yu Jingqiu couldn't find a way out of Heifeng Cliff, so they decided to settle there. They built a house themselves and relied on wild fruits and fish for sustenance. They never gave up searching for an exit. One day, they overheard someone saying that more and more people were being captured and brought there. They hid and observed in secret. The people captured by the Demon God Assembly were locked in cages, and the High Priest started casting magic on them, infusing them with demonic energy. Instantly, these people turned into mechanical zombies. When the High Priest asked who they were, these demonized creatures proudly declared themselves as demons, among them was Situ Borong.

Dongbo Xueying and Yu Jingqiu followed two of these demons into a mysterious cave and encountered a masked figure. Dongbo Xueying politely approached and inquired about a way to escape Heifeng Cliff. The masked figure threw a book at him and said that battling qi was the key. Xueying had to overcome it, and once he understood the book, he would find a way to escape.
