According to the instructions of the leader of the Demon God Assembly, the two priests sent people to find a new location for drilling. The place where the sunlight shines after the lunar eclipse is the weakest connection between the three realms, and this new location is in Xueying Territory. Upon hearing this, the leader let out a strange cry of joy. She ordered the priests to gather the demon soldiers and bring the source stones to Xueying Territory. She also informed the third priest to initiate the plan, and surprisingly, the third priest turned out to be Ji Rong, the mage by Bai Yuanzhi's side.

During the night, Dongbo Qingshi was still practicing diligently when he suddenly noticed a shadow flash by. He wanted to chase after it to see what it was, but Ji Rong stopped him and managed to brush it off with a few words. Trusting Ji Rong, Dongbo Qingshi didn't suspect anything.

To unravel the mystery of the rift in the Black Wind Divine Palace, Dongbo Xueying and the elders went to Bai Yuanzhi's residence. They were delighted to see his brother alive, and Dongbo Qingshi expressed his fondness for Ji Rong, stating his intention to bring her back to Xueying Territory. However, Bai Yuanzhi was displeased when he learned that they came because of his connection with the Demon God Assembly. He considered their behavior rude and didn't provide a direct answer about Black Wind Cliff. But when he saw Dongbo Xueying, he couldn't help but feel deeply moved and praised him as an outstanding son cultivated by Moyang Yu. The elders speculated and suspected that Bai Yuanzhi was Dugu Ling, who went missing twenty years ago from the Water Source Taoist Temple. Situ Hong pressured Bai Yuanzhi to reveal the secret of Black Wind Cliff, and eventually, Bai Yuanzhi, enraged, trapped everyone in a barrier using his magic. The elders tried to break through forcefully but failed. Dongbo Xueying noticed a halo within the barrier and reminded the palace master and Sikong Yang to collaborate, and they successfully lifted the barrier. To make Bai Yuanzhi reveal the secrets of Black Wind Cliff and the Demon Clan, they joined forces to confront and imprison him.

Kong Youyue and Pu Yangbo continued their investigation in the alchemy workshop and ultimately discovered that Moyang Chen, the alchemist, was manufacturing blood-forged divine weapons. They accidentally entered Moyang Chen's secret cultivation room and took note of the runes on the wall. Moyang Yu was still imprisoned by Moyang Chen, who visited her again and forced her to reveal the secret of the ancient bloodline. Otherwise, he threatened to kill Dongbo Xueying. Moyang Yu warned him that if he dared to harm Xueying, he would never learn anything about the ancient bloodline in his lifetime. Kong Youyue, who had been tracking Moyang Chen, was shocked to learn that Moyang Yu was Dongbo Xueying's mother. However, with her current power, she was far from being able to rescue Moyang Yu and could only quietly withdraw.

In the middle of the night, Situ Hong came to see Bai Yuanzhi and demanded to know the whereabouts of his younger brother, Si Borong. But Bai Yuanzhi, who was already affected by demonic energy, couldn't control himself and ended up injuring Situ Hong. This situation was witnessed by Sikong Yang. Recognizing Bai Yuanzhi as his senior brother Dugu Yu, they were once close brothers, and after years of separation, they were filled with mixed emotions upon their reunion. Bai Yuanzhi helplessly revealed the truth about his demonic poisoning. These years had been worse than death for him, and if it weren't for an unfulfilled wish, he would have long sought release in death. Bai Yuanzhi advised Sikong Yang not to acknowledge him or disclose his transformation into a half-demon to anyone, allowing him to continue surviving in this world and preserve the reputation of the Water Source Taoist Temple. However, their conversation was overheard by the awakened Situ Hong. Situ Hong came forward to expose Bai Yuanzhi as a half-demon but was sternly rebuked by Sikong Yang.

Dongbo Xueying and Qingshi returned to Xueying Territory with Ji Rong. Ji Rong, pretending to be interested in finding a new drilling location, strongly persuaded Qingshi to stay. Qingshi, thinking that Ji Rong cared about him, happily agreed. Yu Jingqiu encountered Ji Rong, who was inspecting the surroundings. Ji Rong tried to dismiss Jingqiu's suspicions by pretending to look for her earring. However, this didn't dispel Jingqiu's doubts, and she informed Dongbo Xueying about the incident. Dongbo Xueying cautioned his younger brother to pay attention to Ji Rong, and although Qingshi didn't fully understand, he agreed. As Ji Rong failed to complete her mission and fell off her horse, making it impossible to travel, she continued to stay in Xueying Territory, which deeply affected Zong Ling as he watched her.
