Under Gu Ruanruan's playful persuasion, her parents eventually agreed. Gu Ruanruan happily left the dining table, saying she would choose an auspicious date. When Gu Ruanruan left, her mother advised Fu Xizhou not to let Gu Ruanruan cry, and Fu Xizhou promised her, reassuring her. The family continued to enjoy their meal happily.

Zhu Jiu made noodles for herself and even prepared a bowl for her dog, Wutong. However, Wutong had no interest in eating it, so Zhu Jiu tried a bite herself, praising it as delicious. She then brought it over to Fu Yunshen. As soon as she entered, she wished Fu Yunshen a happy birthday and playfully spun the eggs in her bowl while reciting blessings. She peeled one and offered it to Fu Yunshen. Under Zhu Jiu's coquettish persuasion, Fu Yunshen agreed to eat the longevity noodles she had cooked. Zhu Jiu happily went to fetch the noodles, and as Fu Yunshen ate the egg, he couldn't help but smile.

Zhu Jiu entered the study with a pot of mint. She greeted Fu Yunshen energetically, saying good morning, and helped him open the curtains. When the sunlight streamed in, Fu Yunshen was momentarily startled and closed his eyes, a memory of the accident flashing before him. Zhu Jiu held the mint in front of Fu Yunshen, suggesting he take a whiff of its fragrance. However, Fu Yunshen asked her to take it away. Zhu Jiu insisted, but Fu Yunshen unexpectedly swatted the flowerpot from her hand, causing it to shatter on the floor. Zhu Jiu felt a bit upset as she cleaned up the pieces, and she accidentally cut her hand. Fu Yunshen expressed his dislike for others making decisions for him, then asked Zhu Jiu to close the curtains, which she did before silently leaving the room. Fu Yunshen continued to flip through a page of his book.

The next day at work, Ji Silang and Leo noticed Zhu Jiu's injury and asked about it. Zhu Jiu only mentioned that she had been cut by a vase fragment. Leo immediately guessed it was related to Fu Yunshen. Upon hearing this, Ji Silang's expression stiffened briefly. After Zhu Jiu left, Leo asked Ji Silang if he liked Zhu Jiu. Ji Silang admitted that he didn't know what kind of feelings he had for her.

Zhou Zhizhi visited Fu Yunshen's home and entered the study. She had a long conversation with Fu Yunshen and helped him clean up the flowerpot shards. She picked up the fallen mint and asked if she could dispose of it. Fu Yunshen said she could. At that moment, Zhu Jiu entered the room and introduced herself as the family doctor. Seeing the mint in Zhou Zhizhi's hand, Zhu Jiu explained that it was about to be thrown away. However, Fu Yunshen claimed that he had asked Zhou Zhizhi to dispose of it and ordered Zhu Jiu to leave. Sadly, Zhu Jiu left the room. Soon after, Fu Yunshen asked Zhou Zhizhi to leave as well.

Fu Xizhou brought Gu Ruanruan to visit the place where he had grown up, and Gu Ruanruan was very happy. Hearing that Fu Yunshen had a slight cough, Zhu Jiu went upstairs to take his temperature. Coincidentally, Zhou Zhizhi brought chicken soup for Fu Yunshen. Zhu Jiu cautioned that drinking chicken soup when one's throat wasn't feeling well could worsen the condition. Zhou Zhizhi then informed Zhu Jiu that she wouldn't need to come anymore as she would be Fu Yunshen's new family doctor. Zhu Jiu suggested having Leo talk to her about it and left. Fu Yunshen apologized to Zhou Zhizhi.

Gu Ruanruan called Zhou Zhizhi, and they discussed their recent relationship statuses. Zhu Jiu also returned the wallet she had found, which belonged to Ji Silang, and they chatted for a while. In the office, Ji Silang took out a photo of himself and Yan Ning from his wallet, looked at it, and then placed it inside a book. Linda gave Zhou Zhizhi a couple's bracelet, hoping she would give it to Fu Yunshen. Zhou Zhizhi looked at the bracelet but ultimately decided to throw it away. Coincidentally, Zhu Jiu saw her and questioned her. Zhou Zhizhi claimed that Fu Yunshen had asked her to get rid of it. Annoyed, Zhu Jiu went to the study and tossed the bracelet onto Fu Yunshen, demanding an explanation. Fu Yunshen said it meant what she thought, and Zhu Jiu, feeling heartbroken, began packing her things to leave. Before leaving, she handed Linda the collection of bedtime stories she had written for Fu Yunshen. Zhou Zhizhi tried to persuade Fu Yunshen to return to Shanghai with her, but he rejected her, telling her to leave. Fu Xizhou and Gu Ruanruan joyfully received their marriage certificate. Fu Xizhou's secretary provocatively sent wedding candy to Jiang Shuning. She called Luo Jiang and asked him to sign the contract for the Singapore project without informing Fu Lingtian. Under pressure and persuasion, Luo Jiang agreed. Jiang Shuning then revealed to Chen Le that she had sent Zhou Zhizhi to Heidelberg, surprising him.
