Although Fu Yunshen has regained some sensation in his legs, his recovery has not yet reached the doctor's ideal state. The doctor mentioned that if it continues this way, another surgical examination may be necessary. Zhu Jiu remains very worried, but Fu Yunshen keeps reassuring her not to worry about his condition.

When they return home at night, Zhu Jiu continues to comfort Fu Yunshen. Now that he has some sensation, it indicates that his nervous system is in a state of recovery. Fu Yunshen holds Zhu Jiu, and sometimes he feels sorry for her. After a busy day at work, he still massages himself at night. When he falls asleep, Zhu Jiu leaves. Zhu Jiu is still helping Fu Yunshen with his rehabilitation. Fu Yunshen has started to improve, and they are very happy together. Fu Yunshen can now walk to Zhu Jiu with the help of a cane, and Zhu Jiu is delighted.

After finishing work, Fu Xizhou returns home, and when he arrives, Gu Ruanruan hears the sound of a car starting and rushes out to find Fu Xizhou completely drunk. Jiang Zong, upon hearing the news about his son's legs, is very happy and even sheds tears. He instructs Fu Yunshen to inform his grandfather of this good news. Jiang Zong's heart is finally at ease, and he naturally hopes that his son can inherit the family business.

Gu Ruanruan's father is complaining about Jiang Zong, who came to the company today and bragged about his son's recovery. Although Fu Yunshen is very capable, he can only do research and development work and is not suitable for managing the company. Fu Yunshen can now use a cane. Fu Yunshen calls Fu Xizhou, who initially doesn't want to answer but eventually does. However, there seems to be a distance between them, and Fu Yunshen hopes his brother will provide some Peidu, but Fu Xizhou refuses and mentions that Fu Yunshen has already paid a great price for it. Fu Yunshen tries to explain, but Fu Xizhou uses a meeting as an excuse to hang up.

Gu Ruanruan had prepared a meal at home and was waiting for Fu Xizhou to come back, but he returned very late. Fu Xizhou apologizes and reheats the meal. Fu Yunshen and Zhu Jiu look at photos of the children, bringing back memories. Fu Yunshen expresses his intention to continue searching for a solution to the children's condition. Fu Yunshen also mentions that the relationships in his family are tense, and he feels stuck in the middle. However, Zhu Jiu has always been on his side.

The grandfather also contacts Fu Xizhou, feeling that the relationship between Fu Xizhou and Fu Yunshen is becoming more distant. He believes that Fu Yunshen will return soon. Fu Yunshen and Zhu Jiu were about to buy some things and return home when they encountered the man who had previously tried to harm Zhu Jiu. Since the last incident, he had spent some time in the police station. He taunts Fu Yunshen for being disabled and believes that it would be easy to deal with him. Zhu Jiu is trapped, and the man starts attacking Fu Yunshen's wound. Fu Yunshen starts bleeding, and the man quickly leaves. Zhu Jiu is in a state of panic and screams for help.

Although Fu Yunshen is rushed to the hospital, the rescue is timely. However, he will need to wait for some time to continue his rehabilitation treatment. Zhu Jiu feels very guilty, thinking that if it weren't for her, the man wouldn't have found Fu Yunshen. She also knows that Fu Yunshen is eager to return to the laboratory, but after this incident, his plans have been thwarted. In China, Fu Xizhou has been promoted, and Gu Ruanruan wants to throw a party for him. Everyone is supposed to bring their families, and Fu Xizhou agrees to this. Jiang Zong tries to call his son but doesn't get a response. He later learns that his son has been admitted to the hospital again. Jiang Zong quickly instructs his secretary to book the earliest flight to Heidelberg.

Fu Yunshen, however, doesn't provide a reason and only mentions that they encountered a robbery. He doesn't want his mother to come back.
