After Zhu Jiu returned home, she saw that her grandmother had not yet gone to bed. It turned out that Zhu Jiu's grandmother had already prepared the things she needed to take to Fu Yunshen's house tomorrow. Zhu Jiu was a bit reluctant since these were items her grandmother had saved for a long time. However, her grandmother felt that nothing was more important than her beloved granddaughter, and Zhu Jiu was very happy.

The next day, Fu Yunshen took Zhu Jiu home. Zhu Jiu was still a bit nervous, especially since she had met Fu Yunshen's mother before and knew she was not an easy person. While Zhu Jiu and Fu Yunshen were playing around, Jiang Zong came down and sarcastically mocked Zhu Jiu. Knowing that she had not been accepted by Jiang Zong's mother, Zhu Jiu felt nervous facing Jiang Zong.

During the meal, Fu Yunshen kept serving food to Zhu Jiu. Zhu Jiu could sense that Jiang Zong still had prejudices against her. Jiang Zong even deliberately asked if Zhu Jiu would resign after getting married. Zhu Jiu refused, as she loved her career. Jiang Zong wanted to use strict conditions to make Zhu Jiu realize she wasn't suitable for Fu Yunshen, and Zhu Jiu didn't know how to respond.

Afterward, on the way home, Fu Yunshen apologized to Zhu Jiu. Zhu Jiu was optimistic, telling Fu Yunshen not to worry, as there was still plenty of time. Jiang Zong, after Zhu Jiu left, wanted to give the gift he had prepared for her to the housekeeper. Grandfather advised him not to do such things if he wanted his son to be happy, or he would regret it in the future.

When Zhu Jiu returned home, her grandmother told stories about Zhu Jiu's parents' love. She also warned that families like Fu Yunshen's were likely very influential, and Zhu Jiu should be prepared.

After Fu Yunshen returned home, he looked at his mother sitting aside. Fu Yunshen wanted to have a good conversation with his mother, but she claimed not to understand Zhu Jiu. Moreover, she expressed concerns about Fu Xizhou taking over the company in the future. Fu Yunshen made it clear that he would fight for the company, and Zhu Jiu wouldn't give up on her own. He hoped his mother would respect his choices, even if things didn't work out between him and Zhu Jiu.

The next day, Fu Yunshen informed everyone at work that they would be working on the development of a lymphoma vaccine, which was approved by the board. His colleagues were delighted, and Fu Yunshen invited them to dinner.

In the evening, Fu Yunshen looked at the watch he had designed. He had initially planned to give it to Zhu Jiu but hadn't found the right opportunity. Now, he decided to give it to her. However, Zhu Jiu mentioned she was going to have dinner with Ji Silang, so Fu Yunshen went along, not wanting them to be alone. He deliberately showed affection towards Zhu Jiu, making Ji Silang jealous. When Zhu Jiu went to the bathroom, Fu Yunshen asked Ji Silang if he liked Zhu Jiu, and Ji Silang, unable to hide it, confirmed. Fu Yunshen advised him to let go, as he and Zhu Jiu were getting married. Although Ji Silang appeared calm, he was secretly upset.

After returning home, Fu Yunshen started thinking about how to propose to Zhu Jiu, but none of his fantasies seemed appropriate. Chen Le, seeing Fu Yunshen smiling, guessed that he must be thinking about Zhu Jiu. When Chen Le learned about Fu Yunshen's plan to propose, he offered his suggestions. Later, Fu Yunshen even called his grandmother for advice.

Gu Ruanruan, accompanied by Fu Xizhou, visited the church they had agreed upon. Gu Ruanruan had been waiting for two years, and finally, their wedding was approaching. Zhou Zhizhi specially gave a gift to Gu Ruanruan and asked if she had decided not to have a wedding. Gu Ruanruan used to like romantic weddings, but because of Fu Xizhou, she had been compromising.

Just after finishing work, Zhu Jiu, who was supposed to have dinner with Ji Silang and others, received a call from her grandmother, asking her to come home because someone needed to inspect the wiring. When Zhu Jiu got home, she saw a table full of food and initially thought her grandmother had prepared it. However, when her grandmother didn't show up after a while, Zhu Jiu realized that Fu Yunshen had arranged everything.

Fu Yunshen came out and prepared to give Zhu Jiu the watch he had made. Zhu Jiu, thinking that Fu Yunshen was going to propose, immediately stopped him. Fu Yunshen didn't say the prepared words and just mentioned that he wanted to give Zhu Jiu a watch. Although Zhu Jiu also liked Fu Yunshen, she believed that marriage was a matter between two families. Since Fu Yunshen's mother had not accepted her yet, she couldn't marry him.
