When Zhu Jiu and Fu Yunshen were about to kiss, Fu Yunshen suddenly received a call. Chen Le wanted to know if his proposal was successful, but Fu Yunshen didn't give a clear answer. Instead, he mentioned he would go to the company right away and took the prepared watch with him. When Grandma came back and saw Zhu Jiu's expression, she knew things didn't work out. However, Grandma still thought Fu Yunshen was considerate. Zhu Jiu felt she hadn't made up her mind, and Grandma always stood by Zhu Jiu's side.

Zhu Jiu and Grandma cleaned up together. Grandma's back hurt a bit, so Zhu Jiu quickly asked her to sit and rest. Despite Grandma claiming to be fine, she was not telling the truth. Soon, it was time for Gu Ruanruan and Fu Xizhou's wedding. Gu Ruanruan had been looking forward to this day, and it had finally arrived. After finishing work, Fu Xizhou saw it was already 12:40, and his phone was filled with missed calls from Gu Ruanruan. Gu Ruanruan had been waiting for Fu Xizhou, but he suggested postponing the ceremony to another day. This completely angered Gu Ruanruan, feeling that Fu Xizhou had been brushing her off. Grandfather also saw many negative news about the company online, and he became very emotional, collapsing to the ground. Fortunately, Fu Yunshen and Fu Xizhou quickly took him to the hospital. Grandfather asked Fu Yunshen to investigate the matter along with his brother. However, Fu Xizhou left without saying a word. Fu Yunshen assured Grandfather that he would help his brother.

For safety reasons, Zhu Jiu took Grandma to the hospital for an examination. The result revealed a rare and incurable disease. Zhu Jiu considered telling Fu Yunshen about it but decided not to disturb him, thinking he was dealing with the company's issues.

Fu Yunshen called Fu Xizhou and shared the information he had investigated, and Fu Xizhou also provided his findings to Fu Yunshen. Gu Ruanruan waited for Fu Xizhou until it was dark. This time, she was thoroughly disappointed, feeling unimportant to Fu Xizhou. She believed her compromises had led to this outcome.

Zhu Jiu still didn't know how to tell Fu Yunshen about Grandma's illness. Seeing Grandma waiting for her at the door, Zhu Jiu hurriedly asked Grandma to come into the room. When Fu Xizhou returned home at night, Gu Ruanruan stopped him at the door. Feeling like she had been following Fu Xizhou like a tail, she couldn't even finish a sentence when trying to talk to him. Fu Xizhou assured her that he would arrange another ceremony for her, but Gu Ruanruan felt she shouldn't continue following Fu Xizhou. She left directly.

Fu Yunshen and Fu Xizhou went to Malaysia overnight to see the situation of the children who received the vaccine. The next day, Zhu Jiu finally told her aunt about Grandma's illness. Her aunt, upon learning that Grandma had liver cancer, was initially worried about the treatment costs. She also expressed concern about Grandma's condition and said she would go to the hospital with Zhu Jiu to inquire about the attending physician.

Fu Xizhou gave money to the parents, which made them angrier. Fu Xizhou asked for some time to investigate.
